  3. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the lifting straps (4, 5) extend along the peripheral wall (3) and as far as the bottom (2) of the wrapper (1).
  4. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the lifting straps (4, 5) extend along the peripheral wall (3) of the wrapper (1) as far as the bottom (2) and cross one another at the said bottom (2); for preference the lifting straps (4, 5) are fixed firmly to the peripheral wall (3) and to the bottom (2).
  5. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the lifting straps (4, 5) and the wrapper (1) are made of a flexible and deformable material that is strong enough to allow a drum weighing at least 20 kg, preferably at least 100 kg, to be lifted.
  6. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the wrapper (1) is designed and sized to accept a drum of cylindrical shape or of polygonal cross section, particularly of square cross section.
  7. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the lifting straps (4, 5) and the wrapper (1) are made of a woven natural or synthetic material, preferably polypropylene.
  8. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the wrapper (1) comprises retaining means (7) able to collaborate with the drum contained in the wrapper so as to keep the wrapper (1) in position around the said drum.
  9. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the wrapper (1) comprises 2, 3 or 4 lifting straps.
  10. Use of a device according to one of the preceding claims for lifting and/or moving a drum containing at least one reel of feedwire, in which the assembly formed by the wrapper (1) containing the said drum is lifted and/or moved around on a hook of lifting gear, which hook is inserted through the loops (4, 5).
