Definitions
- the invention relates to an arrangement with a plurality of electrical conductors, which are produced by stamping from a metal sheet and are connected to one another by further processing with an approximately parallel course by webs as a unit ( DE 198 44 869 A1 ).
- Such arrangements are used, for example, as connecting elements for multi-core electrical lines or for a plurality of conductors having flat-band lines each other or with the other type of line.
- the conductors and their ends can be made into a required shape in the unit, also referred to as "punched grid", and machined in a predetermined manner. Thereafter, the unit of the conductors, leaving the ends thereof embedded in an example produced by injection molding insulator. Subsequently, the webs are severed, for example, by punching, so that the conductors isolated and isolated from each other are arranged in the insulating body.
- the ends of the conductors can then be used as plug-in elements for plugging connectors or it can be soldered, welded or crimped further conductors.
- a connector with commercially available connectors is only possible if the conductors have a minimum cross-section. This minimum cross section is maintained in a well-known technique, even though the conductors are in many cases oversized for the transmission of current or signals. Because of the possible use of commercially available connectors, however, this increased cost of materials is accepted.
- the invention has for its object to simplify the above-described arrangement with respect to production and cost of materials.
- This object is achieved according to the invention in that with a correspondingly small, electrically effective cross-section of the conductor of the unit at least one end of the same is thickened by mechanical deformation to a suitable plug-in for a commercial connector pin.
- At least one conductor with a small, electrically effective cross section is present, which is adapted to the current of correspondingly low, to be transmitted currents and signals.
- This conductor may have a cross section which is sufficient for electrical transmission, but not suitable for plugging commercial connector.
- a reduced cross-section of the conductor is useful because the same conductive material can be saved during punching. This advantage is more pronounced in the case of two or more conductors of the unit of reduced cross-section. Due to the simple manner feasible mechanical thickening of the conductor end or the conductor ends to a contact pin and the respective conductor can be contacted with a commercially available connector.
- all conductors of the unit have a reduced cross section and a contact pin at at least one end.
- Fig. 1 schematically a unit of five electrical conductors 1 to 5 is shown, which is produced by stamping from a metal sheet.
- the sheet consists for example of copper or bronze and preferably has a thickness of 0.3 mm to 0.5 mm.
- the conductors 1 to 5 are interconnected by webs 6. You have different widths and thus different, electrically effective cross-sections in the illustrated embodiment.
- the conductors 1 to 5 can advantageously and in a preferred embodiment also all have the same cross-section. It can also be more or less than five conductors combined in one unit.
- the conductors 1, 3 and 5 may for example have such a cross-section that their ends are suitable for mounting commercially available connectors.
- the conductors 2 and 4, however, in the illustrated embodiment have such a reduced cross-section that commercially available connectors can not be plugged.
- Their width is preferably between 0.6 mm and 2.5 mm. These dimensions apply in a preferred embodiment for all conductors of the unit.
- At least one of the ends of the conductors 2 and 4 is according to Fig. 2 each thickened to a contact pin 7 and 8, on a commercial connector can be plugged.
- the contact pins 7 and 8 preferably have a width lying between 0.64 mm and 1.7 mm and a thickness lying between 0.64 mm and 1.0 mm. They may be present on all ladders of the unit.
- the ends of the conductors 2 and 4 are compressed, for example in a corresponding receptacle, for example by means of a stamp acting on the same.
- the case made shortening of the two conductors 2 and 4 can in accordance with the production of the unit Fig. 1 already considered for the ladder 1, 3 and 5, which are then punched out correspondingly shortened. The reduction can also be made later. A corresponding unit goes out Fig. 2 out.
- the contact pins 7 and 8 can according to Fig. 2 in the axial direction of the conductors 2 and 4. You can according to Fig. 3 but also be bent by an angle of 90 ° to the associated conductor, as shown for the conductor 2.
- the unit After the described processing of the conductors 2 and 4 or all conductors 1 to 5, the unit is placed, leaving the ends of the conductors or the contact pins 7 and 8 in an injection mold and embedded in an insulating body. Subsequently, the webs 6 can be severed, for example by punching. The unit of ladders 1 to 5 is then ready to use.

Abstract
Description
Such arrangements are used, for example, as connecting elements for multi-core electrical lines or for a plurality of conductors having flat-band lines each other or with the other type of line. The ends of the conductors can then be used as plug-in elements for plugging connectors or it can be soldered, welded or crimped further conductors. A connector with commercially available connectors is only possible if the conductors have a minimum cross-section. This minimum cross section is maintained in a well-known technique, even though the conductors are in many cases oversized for the transmission of current or signals. Because of the possible use of commercially available connectors, however, this increased cost of materials is accepted.
The invention has for its object to simplify the above-described arrangement with respect to production and cost of materials.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that with a correspondingly small, electrically effective cross-section of the conductor of the unit at least one end of the same is thickened by mechanical deformation to a suitable plug-in for a commercial connector pin.
In this arrangement, at least one conductor with a small, electrically effective cross section is present, which is adapted to the current of correspondingly low, to be transmitted currents and signals. This conductor may have a cross section which is sufficient for electrical transmission, but not suitable for plugging commercial connector. However, such a reduced cross-section of the conductor is useful because the same conductive material can be saved during punching. This advantage is more pronounced in the case of two or more conductors of the unit of reduced cross-section. Due to the simple manner feasible mechanical thickening of the conductor end or the conductor ends to a contact pin and the respective conductor can be contacted with a commercially available connector. To thicken the conductor end the same need only be introduced into a receptacle in which it receives, for example, by upsetting, for example by means of a stamp, in a simple manner its thicker cross section. In a preferred embodiment, all conductors of the unit have a reduced cross section and a contact pin at at least one end.
