Abstract

The device (1) has a support structure (2) comprising vertical mounting posts (11-14) to be supported at the ground. A jack (6) e.g. hydraulic jack, is controlled to provoke movement of a suspension structure (3) between lowered and raised positions. The support structure has a horizontal cross member (21) connecting the post (11) to the post (12), which is connected to the post (13) by a cross member (22). Third cross member (23) connects the post (13) to the post (14), which is connected to the post (11) by a cross member (24). The jack is supported on one of the cross members (22, 24). An independent claim is also included for a method for lifting a load.
