Description

Domaine de l'inventionField of the invention

The present invention relates to an arm for mounting a specific protection system for motorcyclists on the two-wave safety barriers (hereinafter referred to as bionde barriers) which are installed on the road traffic lanes as a means of retaining vehicles. when they leave their path and tend to exit the road.

Etat de la techniqueState of the art

It is known that bionde safety barriers not only do not provide sufficient safety for motorcyclists, but also, in a large part of the cases, constitute an additional element of risk for their physical integrity.

This is because the bionde barriers are supported on poles and at a height which, although it allows for a very effective restraint of passenger vehicles, leaves enough space for the passage of the body of a vehicle below the barrier. nobody slipping on the floor of the roadway.

In the vast majority of cases, this situation occurs when a motorcyclist is ejected from his motorcycle. When the motorcyclist's glide path passes between two of the bionde barrier poles, the body may come into contact with the outer member of the track with respect to which it is desired to restrain using the bionde barrier, for example a tree ; or it may be that the body falls into a precipice, which one wished to avoid with said barrier bionde.

On the contrary, when the trajectory is directed towards one of the support posts, the first impact is against the post and, given the absence of control of the position taken by the ejected body, this impact can take place with any part of the body (legs, head, trunk). In all cases, it is very common that the result is instantaneous death, amputation of the extremities, medullary lesions which may lead, for example, to hemiplegia or paraplegia.

The various solutions in this field have as a perspective to provide security complements that can be coupled with the barriers bionde already installed, which avoids the replacement of the very large amount of kilometers already installed.

Exposé de l'invention et avantagesPresentation of the invention and advantages

In view of this state of affairs, the object of the invention is an anchoring arm which is intended to facilitate the coupling, in already installed bionde safety barriers, of an additional safety element particularly intended for the protection of motorcyclists.

According to the invention, this anchor arm comprises a plate which has a profile determined by three sections which are connected by two breaks and which, according to their operational disposition, are an upper section, an intermediate section and a lower section, such that the upper and intermediate sections are connected by means of a first break having an angle greater than 270 °, while the intermediate and lower sections are connected by means of a second break which is made in the opposite direction to that of said first break and at an angle greater than that of said first break, the upper section being backed to the oblique and downward facing side of a separator by means of which the two-wave safety barrier, or bionde barrier, is anchored to each support pole thereof, an upper notch and a lower notch opening horizontally on one of the edges of said upper section, the upper notch coinciding with a hole on the face of the separator for a first anchor screw adapted to the mounting of the bionde barrier, the lower notch receiving within it the thickness of a horizontal bottom wall of the separator, the intermediate section being inclined upwardly backward, positioning the second break at a suitable rotational distance below said horizontal bottom wall of the separator, and the lower section extending obliquely downwardly forward and having a vertical window for a second anchor screw disposed through a horizontal window made in a safety skirt which extends parallel to the bionde barrier, covering for the most part the height between it and floor ; in this arrangement, in the operational position of the plate, the lower section is in an oblique downward position which extends forwardly at an angle of 10 ° to the vertical.

As is apparent from the present description, the manufacture of the plate according to the invention is very simple, and therefore of reduced cost; it suffices to produce the horizontal notches and the vertical window on the plane state of the latter and then to make the two folds that generate the breaks, with precise and precise angles.

As underlined, the plate is adapted to be installed operationally on a bionde barrier already installed on the track. To this end, simply loosen the corresponding screw used for anchoring the bionde barrier at the front of the separator attached to the post; then, the upper section of the plate is slid horizontally on the face of the separator, so that the rod of the screw enters the upper notch at the moment when the lower wall of the separator penetrates into the lower notch ; and finally, said screw is tightened. This action may be performed while the security skirt is anchored to the plate, or this anchoring may be performed once the platen mounted on the bionde barrier.

From a functional point of view, it is important to consider the inclination of 10 ° in which the lower section of the plate ine (ie, the security skirt) extends towards the track. Thus, when this safety skirt receives an impact, it offers a progressive absorption capacity of the energy of the latter which results in the ability to successively modify the trajectory of the impacting body; firstly, the lower section of the plate performs a power absorption stroke until the second break comes into abutment from below with said lower wall of the separator of the bionde barrier, which may be sufficient to absorb the energy of relatively weak impacts; if the energy of the shock is greater, from this point, it will begin to be absorbed by means of the deformation up to the vertical of the lower section which, by surmounting it, will abut against the post of the bionde barrier.

Description d'un mode de réalisation préféréDescription of a preferred embodiment

With reference to the accompanying drawings and the aforementioned references, we will describe a preferred embodiment of the subject of the invention concerning an anchor arm for a motorcycle protection system applicable to two-wave safety barriers, which arms, as shown by the Figures 3 to 5 , a plate 2 which has a profile determined by three sections which are connected by two breaks and which, according to their operational arrangement, are an upper section 3, an intermediate section 4 and a lower section 5, such as the upper sections 3 and intermediate 4 are connected by means of a first break 6 having an angle greater than 270 °, while the intermediate 4 and lower 5 sections are connected by means of a second break 7 which is made in the opposite direction to that of said first break 6 and with an angle greater than that of said first break 6, the upper section 3 being leaned against the oblique face and downward towards the rear of a separator 1a by means of which the two-wave safety barrier, or barrier bionde 1, is anchored to each support post 1b thereof, while on one of the lateral edges of this upper section 3, open horizontally a notch upper 3a and a lower notch 3b, the upper notch 3a coinciding with a hole 1c existing on the face of the separator 1a for a first anchoring screw 8 adapted to the mounting of the bionde barrier 1, while the lower notch 3b receives within it the thickness of a horizontal bottom wall 1d of the separator 1a, the intermediate section 4 being upwardly inclined rearwardly, locating the second break 7 at a suitable distance 11 in rotation below said horizontal bottom wall 1d of the separator 1a, and the lower section 5 extending obliquely downwardly forward and having a vertical window 5a for a second anchoring screw 9 disposed through a horizontal window 10a formed in a security skirt 10 which extends parallel to the bionde barrier 1, covering for the most part the height between it and the ground.

The Figures 1 and 2 clearly illustrate the operational mounting of the plate 2 which supports the skirt 10 of security which is intended to fence the major part the height of the space left by the barrier bionde 1, to a sufficient extent that the body of a person sliding on the ground can not pass under it. As can be understood, the upper section 3 (see the enlarged detail on the figure 1 ) is held between the bionde barrier 1 and the face of the separator 1a by means of the first anchoring screw 8, the same as that used for mounting the bionde barrier 1 itself; so that the notch 3a coincides with the hole 1c already present on the face of the separator 1a and that in the lower notch 3b, is housed the bottom wall 1d of the separator 1a. It can be deduced from all this that for the mounting of the plate 2 on a bionde barrier 1 already installed, it suffices to loosen said first screw 8 to a sufficient extent so that the thickness of the upper section 3 of the latter can pass; and once it is correctly positioned, tighten the first screw 8 to complete the assembly.

The state of the assembly at rest is that illustrated on the figure 1 which shows that in the operational position of the plate 2, the lower section 5 is in an oblique downward position which extends forwardly at an angle of 10 ° to the vertical. As we could verify visually on this figure 1 in this state of rest, the second break 7 is at a suitable distance 11 below the bottom wall 1 d of the separator 1 a; in such a way that, during an impact, the lower section 5 of the plate 2 can perform a first deformation and energy absorption stroke until it reaches the position shown on FIG. figure 6 , and a second race which is the one illustrated by means of the intermediate positions ( figure 7 ) and stop ( figure 8 ) against the post 1 b. This feature is favored to a good extent by the set of folding angles given to the first break 6 and the second break 7; it has the advantage of allowing a gradual absorption of the shock energy and a successive modification of the motorcyclist's trajectory, reducing the physical damage suffered by the motorcyclist; if the energy of the shock is moderate, it can be absorbed by the deformation shown on the figure 6 , and if it is superior, this first absorption will be followed by that relating to the deformation which the Figures 7 and 8 .
