Das Gehäuse 4 hat eine Beladungsöffnung 9, über die das Innere der Trommel 3 durch die Dichtungsmanschette 6 hindurch erreichbar ist. Die Beladungsöffnung 9 ist mittels einer Tür 5 verschließbar. Unterhalb des Laugenbehälters 2 ist eine Ablaufeinrichtung 12 angeordnet, die die verbrauchte Waschflüssigkeit oder das Spülwasser aus dem Laugenbehälter 2 zur Ablaufleitung 16 herausführt, die in der Regel in einen Abwasserkanal mündet. Auf der Zeitachse t ist hierbei beispielhaft die Dauer der einzelnen Programmabschnitte innerhalb des Waschprogramms WP in Minuten aufgezeigt. Der hier dargestellte Programmablauf WP umfasst einen Waschabschnitt W, ein Zwischenschleudern Z, einen Spülabschnitt Sp und einen Schleuderabschnitt Sc, bei dem die Wäsche entwässert wird. In diesen Programmabschnitten wird der Wasserzulauf 15 und der Ablauf 16 entsprechend gesteuert. Auch der Heizkörper 7 wird entsprechend gesteuert, um die Waschflüssigkeit auf die vorgegebene Temperatur zu erwärmen. Nach dem Schleuderabschnitt Sc folgt ein Abschnitt oder Zyklus zum Glätten GL der Wäsche 7, der in diesem Beispiel etwa 10 Minuten dauert. Für den Waschabschnitt sind etwa 30 Minuten angesetzt, das Zwischenschleudern dauert etwa 10 Minuten, der Spülabschnitt etwa 20 Minuten und das Schleudern Sc zum Entwässern etwa 10 Minuten.In Fig. 2 By way of example, a complete sequence of a washing program WP is shown in a diagram. In Fig. 3a ist der Programmabschnitt bzw. der Zyklus zum Glätten GL der Wäsche in einer vergrößerten Zeitachse dargestellt. Zu Beginn bis zum Zeitpunkt 1 Minute wird die Wäsche mit einer Drehzahl von etwa 50 u/min reversierend bewegt, wobei durch den dadurch verursachten Wäschefall die Wäschestücke 8 umgeschichtet bzw. vom Trommelmantel 3a nach dem Schleuderabschnitt abgelöst werden. Danach ab Minute 1 erfolgt das Glätten der Wäsche 8, wobei die Trommel 3 mit einer geringen Drehzahl von etwa 20 u/min reversierend gedreht wird. Durch die geringe Drehzahl werden die Wäschestücke 8 nur so weit am Trommelmantel 3a mit angehoben, dass noch kein Wäschefall stattfindet. Dies ist die erste Phase GP, bei der die Wäsche 8 am Trommelmantel 3a entlang gleitet. Nach ca. 1 Minute wird die Trommel für etwa 20 sek. reversierend mit einer höheren Drehzahl, hier 50 u/min, gedreht, so dass es zu einem Wäschefall kommt und dadurch die Wäsche 8 umgeschichtet wird (UM). Diese beiden Phasen wiederholen sich mehrmals, in diesem Beispiel 7 mal, wobei, wie in Fig. 3b dargestellt, der Heizkörper 7 aktiviert wird, dass der Trommelmantel 3a während dieser Zeit eine Temperatur von etwa 70°C aufweist. Nach etwa 8 min wird der Heizkörper 7 ausgeschaltet, wobei, wie in Fig. 3a zu erkennen ist, die Trommel mit der höheren Drehzahl, hier etwa 50 u/min, gedreht wird, wodurch die Wäsche 8 während der Abkühlphase AK aufgelockert wird.In Fig. 3a the program section or the cycle GL for smoothing the laundry is shown in an enlarged time axis. Gemäß Fig. 5 wird die Trommel 3 um eine Teilumdrehung TUR, hier von der 6-Uhr Position bis zur 9-Uhr Position nach rechts gedreht, wobei die Wäschestücke 8 nur um einen Bruchteil HR des Weges angehoben werden, den der Trommelmantel 3a mit seiner Teilumdrehung TUR zurücklegt. Hierbei ist deutlich zu erkennen, dass der Trommelmantel 3a unterhalb der Wäsche 8 entlang gleitet. Gemäß Fig. 6 wird die Trommel 3 um eine Teilumdrehung, hier von der 6-Uhr Position bis zur 3-Uhr Position nach links gedreht, wobei die Wäschestücke 8 nur um einen Bruchteil HL des Weges angehoben werden, den der Trommelmantel 3a mit seiner Teilumdrehung TUL zurücklegt. Auch bei dieser Linksdrehung gleitet der Trommelmantel mit seiner Oberfläche an der Wäsche 8 entlang. dadurch gekennzeichnet,
dass in diesem Zyklus (GL) die Trommelwand (3a) erhitzt wird und dass die Trommel (3) mit einer Drehzahl gedreht wird, bei der die Wäsche (8) nur so weit angehoben wird, dass sie am Trommelmantel (3a) entlang gleitet.
