In Fig. 1 ist in rein schematischer Darstellung eine Wäschebehandlungsmaschine, hier eine Waschmaschine 1, mit einem im Gehäuse 4 angeordneten Laugenbehälter 2 dargestellt. Die Positions- und Richtungsangaben beziehen sich auf die betriebsgemäße Aufstellposition der Wäschebehandlungsmaschine. Innerhalb des Laugenbehälters 2 ist eine drehbar gelagerte und über einen elektrischen Motor 13 angetriebene Trommel 3 angeordnet, die die im Laugenbehälter 2 befindliche Wäsche 8 bewegt. Die Trommel 3 ist im vorliegenden Ausführungsbeispiel aus Edelstahl hergestellt und mit einer Vielzahl an Öffnungen für die Durchflutung versehen. Im unteren Bereich des Laugenbehälters 2 ist die Waschflüssigkeit oder Wasser eingebracht, die/das zum Reinigen oder Behandeln der Wäsche 8 benötigt wird.
Zur Erwärmung oder zum Erhitzen der Flüssigkeit ist im unteren Bereich des Laugenbehälters 2 ein Heizkörper (nicht dargestellt) angeordnet. Im oberen Bereich der Maschine 1 ist ein Einlassventil 15 skizziert, welches das Einlaufen des Wassers aus dem Versorgungsnetz steuert. Über den Einspülkasten 11 wird das Wasser über das Verbindungsrohr 14 in den Laugenbehälter 2 geleitet, wobei im Einspülkasten 11 eingegebenes Waschmittel mit in den Laugenbehälter 2 gespült wird. Zusätzlich besitzt die Wäschebehandlungsmaschine 1 eine Einrichtung 12 zur Erzeugung von Dampf, welcher über eine Leitung 16 und hiervon ausgehend über die abgezweigte Leitung 16a durch eine daran angeschlossene Düse 17 in das Innere des Laugenbehälters 2 bzw. in das Innere der Trommel 3 eingeblasen wird. Die Dampferzeugungseinrichtung wird über die Wasserzufuhreinrichtung 15, 11 mit Wasser versorgt, das mit dem Heizkörper 26 erhitzt und dadurch verdampft wird.

Die im Dampf mitgerissenen Kalkpartikel oder Schmutzteilchen gelangen aufgrund der Massenträgheit und der Schwerkraft in den sogenannten Pumpensumpf. Beim nächstfolgenden Abpumpen werden diese Teilchen mit ausgeschwemmt. In dem Leitungsabschnitt 16b ist im Bereich der Ablaufeinrichtung bzw. zwischen Pumpe und dem Abzweig der Leitungen 16a zum Laugenbehälter 2 ein Dämpfungsglied angeordnet, das verhindert, dass aufgrund eines Rückstoßes Lauge oder Wasser aus dem Ablaufbereich 18 zur Düse 17 oder in die Dampfleitungen 16a, 16c gelangt. Das Dämpfungsglied 22 ist hierbei als Ventil oder Labyrinth ausgeführt, das bei einem Rückstoß einen hohen Strömungswiderstand für die Flüssigkeit bietet.In Fig. 2 an embodiment of a washing machine is sketched in which the downwardly guided line section 16b is guided to the discharge device 18. Die Dampferzeugungseinrichtung 12 wird hierbei mittels einer Pumpe 12b mit Wasser versorgt, das in einem Tank 24a zwischengespeichert wird. Der Tank 24a wird von der Wasserzuführung befüllt, die zumindest ein Einlassventil 15 und einen Einspülkasten 11 für Waschmittel umfasst. Das einlaufende Wasser wird zumindest teilweise über die Leitung 24 zur Düse 17 geführt. Die Düse 17 ist in der Dichtungsmanschette 6 angebracht und dazu eingerichtet, sowohl das einlaufende Wasser als auch den Dampf in die Trommel 3 bzw. den Laugenbehälter 2 (Fig. 1) einzulassen. An der Dampferzeugungseinrichtung ist die dampfführende Leitung 16 angeschlossen, die nach unten an den Laugenbehälter 2 vorbeigeführt ist. An dieser Leitung 16 ist abzweigend die Leitung 16a angeschlossen, um den Dampf zur Düse zu leiten. In den weiter nach unten erstreckenden Leitungsabschnitt 16b gelangen dann Kalkpartikel oder Schmutzteilchen, die sich aus dem Inneren der Dampferzeugungseinrichtung 12 lösen oder die mit dem einlaufenden Frischwasser mit eingelassen werden. Die Leitungen 16, 16a, 16 b sind in dieser Ausführung am vorderen, stirnseigen Ende des Laugenbehälters 2 innerhalb des Gehäuses 4 angeordnet.In Fig. 3 are the components for the steam generation and the supply to the tub 2 ( Fig. 1 ) shown in detail in perspective. Claims (9)

  1. Laundry treatment appliance (1) such as a washing machine, washer-dryer or tumble dryer, comprising a housing (4), comprising a substantially cylindrical container (2, 3) for receiving laundry (8) to be treated, which container is arranged in the housing (4) and is supported by a horizontal or inclined rotary shaft, and a steam generation means (12) comprising a heating member (26) for generating steam, and a line (16, 16a) for supplying steam to the interior of the container (2, 3),
    characterised in that
    the line (16), starting from the steam generation means (12), is firstly guided downwards relative to the operational upright position of the laundry treatment appliance, and a branching line (16a) being coupled into this line (16), which branching line is guided to the container (2, 3), the downwardly guided line portion (16b) extending further downwards starting from the branch.
  2. Laundry treatment appliance (1) according to claim 1, wherein the laundry treatment appliance is a washing machine comprising a suds container (2) which is fastened so as to move in an oscillating manner, is arranged in the housing (4) and comprises a rotatable drum (3) arranged horizontally or in an inclined manner therein and a discharge means (18) for draining the washing liquid, the branched line (16a) discharging inside the suds container (2).
  3. Washing machine (1) according to claim 2, characterised in that the lower line portion (16b) discharges underneath the drum (3) into the lower region of the suds container (2).
  4. Washing machine (1) according to claim 2, characterised in that an additional branching line (16c) is coupled with the line portion (16b), which additional branching line discharges underneath the drum (3) into the lower region of the suds container (2).
  5. Laundry treatment appliance (1) according to claim 1, 2 or 4, characterised in that the downwardly guided line portion (16b) ends as a blind line.
  6. Washing machine (1) according to either claim 2 or claim 3, characterised in that the downwardly guided line portion (16b) discharges into the discharge means (18).
  7. Washing machine (1) according to claim 6, characterised in that a damping member (22) is arranged between the branch of the line (16a, 16c) which leads to the suds container (2) and the discharge means (18), which damping member is configured to suppress a backflow of liquid from the discharge means (18) into the steam lines (16, 16a, 16b, 16c).
  8. Washing machine (1) according to any of claims 2 to 6, which is configured as a front-loading washing machine comprising a substantially circular housing opening (10) which can be closed by a door (5), a substantially circular suds container opening (9) and a sealing sleeve (6), which is arranged so as to connect the housing opening (10) and the suds container opening (9), the line (16a) from the steam generation means (12) discharging into a nozzle (17) arranged in the upper region of the sealing sleeve (6), which nozzle is configured to convey the steam into the drum (3) or to the suds container.
  9. Washing machine (1) according to claim 8, characterised in that the nozzle (17) is configured to connect two lines (16, 24), one line (16a) being specified for supplying steam and another line (24) being specified for supplying water into the drum (3) or to the suds container (2).
