  • Such methods of control are commonly used, for example, in a washing machine or a dishwasher. These methods are designed for the objects to be cleaned and / or cared for. These methods are optimized with regard to the duration of the process and the consumption of water, cleaning agent and energy and with regard to the protection of the material to be cleaned.
  • For the preparation of household cleaning appliances, adjuvants, such as lubricants and additives or surface passivations, are used. These excipients can not be completely removed during a device inspection included in the manufacturing process. There are therefore still low residues of these auxiliaries within the device. Water-conducting domestic appliance, in the form of a washing machine or a dishwasher, for performing the method according to any one of claims 1 to 10, with a water inflow device, an outflow device, a heating device, a drive device and a program control device, by which control signals for the water inflow device and outflow device, the heating device and/or the drive device can be generated in such a manner that the water inflow, the outflow, the water level, the temperature, the drive rotational speed and/or the duration of the drive activation are variable within at least one program segment and/or the duration of at least one program segment is variable, characterised in that
    - the program control device includes a non-volatile rewritable memory in which the respective last completely executed program of the domestic cleaning appliance is recorded,
    - the program control device comprises means for recognising switching-on of the domestic cleaning appliance, means for checking registration of the memory and means for issue of a demand for performance of the self-cleaning program according to claim 1,
    - wherein the program control device is constructed for recognising switching-on of the domestic cleaning appliance for the first time after production of the appliance and is so arranged that the demand for performance of the self-cleaning program is issued only when an appliance check after production is recorded as the last program.
