Definitions

  • the invention relates to a power line for portable consumers, consisting of three insulated electrical conductor having cores, the conductors are each surrounded by an inner conductive layer, an overlying insulation and an overlying outer conductive layer and at least one ground conductor, wherein each core a mounted over the outer conductive layer electrical screen and in which the unit of wires and earth conductor is surrounded by a common sheath of insulating material.
  • Such a power line - in the following called “line” - is used, for example, for power supply of open-pit machinery. It must be able to follow the movements of the machine without risk of damage in the long run, being exposed to constantly changing bending stresses and the harsh operation of an open pit.
  • the line can be used, for example, as along a given route guided trailing cable or as a reelable line, which is constantly unwound during the movement of a connected machine from a spool and wound up again on the same. It is monitored during operation for its functionality, so that errors, especially damage, can be detected as quickly as possible. Damage to the cable can lead to a phase / earth fault with a subsequent high-energy discharge, which can endanger people.
  • the line must therefore be disconnected from the power source as soon as possible.
  • the conductors and the earth conductor of the cable are connected to a monitoring unit.
  • the electrical contact resistance between the shields of the conductors with each other and the ground wire are very high in known, available in the market, so that at a phase or ground fault, only a relatively low current flows to the monitoring unit. Damage to a line is therefore determined only with delay and under certain circumstances not at all.
  • a power line for portable consumer according to the preamble of claim 1 is known from US-A-3614300 known.
  • the invention has for its object to make the line initially described so that damage the same can be detected faster.
  • the screen consists in each case of a voltage applied to the outer conductive layer of the wires first layer of an electrically conductive plastic fleece and arranged above, applied to the plastic nonwoven second layer of an electrically conductive rubberized fabric tape.
  • the electrical conductivity of the existing of the two electrically conductive layers screen is so much increased over known designs that the electrical contact resistance between the screens of the three conductors and the ground conductor of this line is reduced by a factor of about 10. It is about 10 ⁇ or less.
  • a phase / ground fault a correspondingly high current flows to the monitoring unit, so that the same is detected immediately and the line can be disconnected as quickly as possible from the power source.
  • the possible contact voltage is so substantially reduced by the low-impedance phase / Erdschfuß that a risk to people can be excluded.
  • the metal with which the plastic fleece is made electrically conductive is deposited in a known technique, for example from the vapor phase. It not only settles on the outer surface of the nonwoven material, but also penetrates into it and envelops its inner fibers, which are known to be held together disorderly in the nonwoven material.
  • the plastic fleece is then so "penetrating" coated. It thus has a porous, but almost complete closed metal layer.
  • Fig. 1 is very schematically shown an arrangement with a machine 1, which is in the direction of the double arrow 2 back and forth movable. It is connected via a power line 3 - hereinafter referred to as "line 3" - connected to a device 4, in which there are at least one voltage source for powering the machine 1 and a monitoring unit 5, to which the line 3 is connected.
  • line 3 hereinafter referred to as "line 3" - connected to a device 4, in which there are at least one voltage source for powering the machine 1 and a monitoring unit 5, to which the line 3 is connected.
  • the line 3 is in accordance Fig. 2 for example, from three constructed of insulated electrical conductors cores 6, 7 and 8, their more detailed structure Fig. 4
  • the unit of cores 6, 7 and 8 and earth conductor 9 is surrounded by an inner jacket 10 made of insulating material, which fills all the outer gusset of the line 3. It consists for example of rubber and is produced by means of an extruder.
  • an outer jacket 11 is attached made of insulating material. It is advantageously made of chlorinated rubber and is also made by extrusion.
  • the earth conductor is divided into three sub-conductors 12, 13 and 14, which lie in the interstices between the wires 6, 7 and 8. Also in this embodiment of the line 3 inner shell 10 and outer shell 11 are present. The inner shell 10 also fills all the outer gusset of the line 3 here.
  • the wires 6, 7 and 8 of the line 3 exist according to Fig. 4 each example of a conductor 15, which is advantageously designed as a stranded conductor made of copper. It can be made of fine or very fine wire. The individual wires can also be tinned.
  • a conductor 15 Above the conductor 15 is disposed an inner conductive layer 16, which may be produced by extrusion or by winding with a belt.
  • the inner conductive layer 16 is made of graphite, for example. It is surrounded by an existing example of polyvinyl chloride or polyethylene insulation 17, over which an outer conductive layer 18 is attached.
  • the outer conductive layer 18 can also be made of graphite and also be produced by extrusion or harness. Both conductive layers can also consist of an insulating material made semiconductive by the addition of carbon black.
  • an electrically effective screen S is mounted, which is constructed of a first layer adjacent to the same 19 and a second layer 20 surrounding the same gap-free.
  • the two layers of the screen S are in Fig. 4 indicated by a dashed line as two different, separate layers.
  • the first layer 19 is made of an electrically conductive plastic fleece which may be longitudinally formed around the outer conductive layer 18 or wrapped around it with an overlap of, for example, 15%, each creating a completely closed sheath.
  • the plastic fleece may for example consist of nylon or other suitable plastics. Its wall thickness or thickness is preferably between 80 .mu.m and 150 .mu.m.
  • a good electrically conductive metal is used, in particular copper.
  • the copper or other good electrical conductivity metal is transferred to the molten state for the metallization and deposited from the vapor phase on the nonwoven material.
  • the copper also penetrates into the nonwoven material and wraps around the fibers held there disorderly. Overall, a porous, but almost closed copper layer is produced on and in the plastic fleece.
  • the electrical resistance of the plastic fleece is less than 0.5 ⁇ .
  • the second layer 20 consists for example of an electrically conductive rubberized fabric tape based on rayon.
  • the fabric tape is advantageously graphitized on both sides electrically conductive graphite. It has a maximum surface resistance of 400 ⁇ .
  • a corresponding strip having a thickness preferably between 250 ⁇ m and 320 ⁇ m is wound around the first layer 19 with an overlap of, for example, 15%.
  • the screen S has a total wall thickness, which is advantageously about 0.4 mm.
  • the earth conductor 9 is advantageously designed as a strand consisting of copper wires in the form of a strand. It may be surrounded in an advantageous embodiment of a layer of an electrically conductive rubberized fabric tape, which may be carried out in the same manner as the fabric tape of the layer 20 of the screen S.
