Bei einer Vorrichtung (19) zum Überführen einer aus Karton- und/oder Pappenzuschnitten (3) und einem Bezugsnutzen (2) zusammengefügten Buchdecke (1, 1.1, 1.2) von einer aus einem Nutzenzylinder (11) und wenigstens einer Andrückrolle (15) gebildeten, den beleimten Bezugsnutzen (2) und die Zuschnitte (3) miteinander verbindenden Anrolleinrichtung (16) zu einer Übergabestelle (31), aus der die Buchdecke (2) einer Einschlag- und Andrückvorrichtung (30) zum Einschlagen überstehender Bezugsnutzenkanten taktgemäß zuführbar ist, mit einem vor und zurück bewegbaren, die aus der Anrolleinrichtung (16) austretende Buchdecke (1, 1.1, 1.2) bei im Wesentlichen synchroner Bewegung kraftschlüssig ergreifenden Transportelement (20), ist vorgesehen, dass die Vorrichtung (19) eine Antriebseinheit (22, 23, 23 a) umfasst, die mit einem in Abhängigkeit von der in Förderrichtung orientierten Formathöhe veränderbaren Steuerprofil (50.1, 50.2) beaufschlagbar ist, mit einer definierten Endposition (21 a) des Transportelements (20) in der Übergabestelle (31) und einem sich ändernden Förderhub. Dadurch reduziert sich die notwendigen Zykluszeit für die Vor- und Rückbewegung des Transportelements, wobei die eingesparte Zykluszeit für eine längere Übergabezeit in der Übergabestelle, eine Formaterweiterung und/oder eine Taktleistungserhöhung genutzt werden kann.
