Description

The invention relates to a cutting torch with a burner head, which accommodates an exchangeable cutting nozzle, according to the preamble of claim 1.

In a known cutting torch with one-piece, gas-mixing nozzle, a burner tip is surrounded by a sleeve. These two parts are firmly connected to each other by means of a finely threaded thread and sealed against each other ( US Pat. No. 2,897,884 ). Through a central channel in the burner tip of the cutting zone oxygen can be supplied. Fuel gas is passed through channels outwardly formed from the burner tip, which tapers conically over a portion, to an opening of the burner tip. The burner tip is connected to the burner head via metallic seals, for which purpose the burner tip is provided with cone-shaped sealing surfaces. To replace the burner tip, which is desirable because of wear or to use a differently configured burner tip or cutting nozzle, the sleeve must be unscrewed and screwed again after inserting the new burner tip close to the burner head, which should be done carefully and can be cumbersome.

In order to facilitate a lighter nozzle change, in particular of the cutting nozzle, it is already known to coaxially surround a cutting nozzle receptacle into which the cutting nozzle protrudes with an annular gap-shaped heating nozzle receptacle and to insert the heating nozzle into this heating nozzle receptacle ( DE 101 44 177 B4 ). For this purpose, the heating nozzle should have an outer jacket, which is provided at the upper end with a first O-ring as a sealing ring, which bears sealingly against the Heizdüsenaufnahme. Specifically, an outer peripheral groove for the first O-ring is provided at the upper end of the outer shell, which sealingly bears against the inner wall of an annular groove in the burner head. A circumferential outer collar is provided downstream of the first O-ring, the upper side of which in the assembled cutting torch lies directly against a downwardly directed annular surface of the burner head. At the bottom of the outer collar engages a fixed to the burner head coupling. A second O-ring abuts against the outer jacket of the heater nozzle and at the bottom of the outer collar, which is urged upwardly against the burner head by the coupling engaging the outer collar to connect the burner head to the cutting nozzle and the heating nozzle encompassing it. The cutting torch is structurally complex. To change the nozzle between the heating nozzle and the clutch a loose connection should be made, which should prevent the disengagement of the heating nozzle from the inner bore of the clutch when releasing the clutch from the burner head. For this purpose, a Umfangseinfräsung is provided on the outer surface of the heating nozzle, in which a third O-ring is inserted, which is intended to engage in an inner groove in the coupling, so that the heating nozzle and the coupling can only be separated against the resistance of the third O-ring. The nozzle change is cumbersome because first the cutting nozzle and the heating nozzle are to be connected to the coupling before the assembled aggregate can be attached to the burner head.

According to WO 03/023278 A1 which, in addition to the above prior art, has a further development ( FIG. 6 ) discloses, as a coupling or quick release a bayonet closure is provided. According to the preamble of present claim 1, this is a cutting torch with a burner head is known, which receives a replaceable cutting nozzle, which is encompassed by an axial through-hole having a cap-like Heizdüsenanordnung. An outer jacket of the cutting nozzle is provided with longitudinal slots which extend upstream from a lower end of the cutting nozzle and serve to supply a fuel gas-oxygen mixture to a Heizdüsenaustritt. Cross sections of the axial through-hole of the heating nozzle assembly are narrowed in an area between its upper upstream end and its nozzle outlet inside. The cutting nozzle may be positioned with a stepped tapered lower portion in the cap-like heater nozzle assembly. In the burner head, a cutting nozzle receptacle is formed, which receives an upper cylindrical portion of the cutting nozzle. This upper section of the cutting nozzle carries an O-ring that fits snugly against the cutting nozzle receptacle of the torch head. At an upper portion of the cap-like Heizdüsenanordnung inside at least a first connection element of the quick release is fixed, which is releasably connected to at least a second connecting element of the quick release in the form of screw heads, which is fixed to a lower outer shell portion of the burner head. On an outer jacket of the heating nozzle, as in the heating nozzle discussed above, an O-ring is mounted in an encircling groove on an upper end of the outer jacket, which sealingly bears against the inner wall of an annular groove in the burner head.

The present invention has for its object to provide a cutting torch according to the preamble of claim 1, wherein the nozzle change with straightforward technical means quickly handled and yet reliable.

For this purpose, the cutting torch according to the invention has the combination of the features specified in claim 1. The feature of the cap-like heating nozzle is specified in claim 2.

An advantageous variant of the cap-like Heizdüsenanordnung is specified in claim 3.

In each of the two above cases, a nozzle quick change system is provided which allows a change of the cutting nozzle and the heating nozzle on the burner head without tools very quickly. The nozzle change can thus be efficiently automated.

The required during operation of the cutting torch contact pressure of the heating nozzle to the burner head is expediently realized by the surface pressure of an O-ring in the vertical direction according to claim 1 by a lower outer shell portion of the burner head has a first annular bearing surface which is perpendicular to the central axis of the cap-like Heizdüsenanordnung and an upper portion of the cap-like heating nozzle has an inwardly projecting second annular bearing surface which is perpendicular to the central axis of the cap-like heating nozzle assembly and which faces the first annular bearing surface, wherein an O-ring is interposed between the first annular bearing surface and the second annular bearing surface is. This threadless seal is favorable for the automated nozzle change. With this seal and the arrangement of the fasteners of the quick release in the cap-like Heizdüsenanordnung the fasteners are protected against mechanical damage and contamination.

The provided for changing the nozzle quick release can be realized in a first embodiment according to claim 4 by at least one dowel pin protruding from a lower outer shell portion of the burner head, and by at least one bayonet groove in the upper portion of the cap-like heating nozzle or the outer cap, in which bayonet the Engaging pin engages.

In a second embodiment of the quick release is a particularly reliable connection of the heating nozzle and the cutting nozzle with the Torch head according to claim 5 realized by the fact that protrude from the lower outer shell portion of the burner head two dowel pins on the outside diametrically opposite, and that inside the upper portion of the cap-like heating nozzle two bayonet grooves are arranged at diametrically opposite locations, in which engage the dowel pins. Thus, a tilting moment is avoided on the heating nozzle and the tightness over the entire circumference of the burner head and the heating nozzle is promoted.

Both the first embodiment and the second embodiment of the quick release require no expensive locking mechanisms that would be operated at a nozzle change.

As production-favorable, the bayonet groove or bayonet grooves are formed from a fixing body, which is fixed in the upper portion of the cap-like heating nozzle according to claim 6.

It is expressly understood that the arrangement of the dowel pins and the bayonet grooves on the burner head or on the cap-like heating nozzle can also be reversed, while maintaining the same quick-change facility.

In both the first embodiment and the second embodiment of the quick release, when dimensioning the bayonet groove (s) according to claim 7 up to a quarter of the inner circumference of the upper portion of the cap-like heating nozzle or the outer cap, the cap-like heating nozzle or the outer nozzle for nozzle change by a quarter turn manually without tools are released from the burner head, the cutting nozzle can be easily pulled out. Analogously vice versa, the attachment of the cutting nozzle and the heating nozzle on the burner head by attaching these two parts from below under application of sufficient contact pressure and a quarter turn in the opposite sense as to To solve. The dimensioning of the bayonet groove (s) according to claim 7 promotes a rapid change of cutting nozzle and / or heating nozzle both manually and automatically, especially in automated cutting in conjunction with flame cutting machines and / or cutting robots.

In another embodiment of the closure according to claim 8, a lower outer shell portion of the burner head is provided with an external thread, and an upper portion of the cap-like heating nozzle has an internal thread, which fits into the external thread of the burner head. The thread has a sufficiently large pitch for quick change, which is possible by arranging an O-ring according to claim 1 between the burner head and the heating nozzle.

The same advantageous measures as claimed in claim 8 can be provided in another embodiment of the cutting torch with an outer cap according to claim 9.

As noted above, the cutting torch according to the invention can be realized according to claim 2 with a cap-like Heizdüsenanordnung, which is a cap-like heating nozzle. In this case, at least the first connecting member of the quick-acting fastener is fixed to the upper portion of the cap-like heating nozzle and the upper portion of the cap-like heating nozzle has the inwardly projecting second annular bearing surface opposite to the first annular bearing surface on the outer shell portion of the burner head. The cap-like heating nozzle can be one-piece and therefore particularly low-priced and robust.

But it is also possible to carry out the invention with a cap-like Heizdüsenanordnung comprising according to claim 3, an outer cap and a heating nozzle, which is interchangeable inserted into the outer cap. In a Heizdüsenwechsel thus the outer cap does not need to be replaced. Rather, it may be sufficient to replace the more abrasive heating nozzle.

In this composite cap-like Heizdüsenanordnung the first connection element of the quick release, which cooperates with the second connecting element on the lower outer shell portion of the burner head, fixed to the outer cap inside. The first annular bearing surface on the lower outer shell portion of the burner head in this case only indirectly opposite second annular bearing surface, which is formed from the outer cap, supports a collar at an upper portion of the heating nozzle. On the collar a sealing bearing surface for the O-ring is formed, which is thus arranged between the first bearing surface and indirectly the second bearing surface.

The materials constituting the heating nozzle on the one hand and the outer cap on the other hand may be selected according to the requirements of these constituents of the cap-like heating nozzle arrangement, e.g. for the heating nozzle copper and for the outer cap steel.

The seal of the space formed in the heating nozzle to the outside could be further secured in all embodiments by each of a cylindrical sealing surface according to claim 9 is formed on the lower portion of the burner head and inside of the upper portion of the cap-like heating nozzle or the outer cap, wherein preferably according to claim 10, an O-ring between the two cylindrical sealing surfaces is arranged.

The insertable into the cutting nozzle receiving cylindrical upper portion of the cutting nozzle preferably carries according to claim 11, two O-rings in the axial distance, which not only the sealing of the cutting nozzle or the cutting oxygen channel is improved, but also the cutting nozzle is axially aligned in the cutting nozzle holder.

Der dargestellte untere Abschnitt des Brennerkopfs trägt das Bezugszeichen 3.In the Figures 1 - 4 1 denotes the cutting nozzle and 2 the cap-like heating nozzle of a cutting torch. The illustrated lower portion of the burner head bears the reference numeral 3.

How out FIG. 1 can be seen, a fixing 5 is fixedly inserted in an upper portion 4 of the cap-like heating nozzle, from which the diametrically opposite two bayonet grooves 6, 7 are formed. The course of the bayonet groove 7 is in FIG. 4 shown in more detail. In each of the two bayonet grooves 6, 7 each engage a dowel pin 8, 9, which protrudes from a lower outer shell portion 10 of the burner head 3.

The bayonet connection is reliably held tightly and tightly by an O-ring 11 which is disposed between a first annular bearing surface 1 2 at the lower outer shell portion 10 of the burner head 3 and a second annular bearing surface 13 at an upper portion 4 of the cap-like heating nozzle 2.

Another O-ring 15 is located between a cylindrical sealing surface 16 on the cap-like heating nozzle 2 and a cylindrical sealing surface 17 on the lower outer shell portion 10 of the burner head third

The cutting nozzle 1 has, as best of FIG. 3 can be seen, two axially spaced O-rings 18, 19 on a cylindrical upper portion 20 which is inserted in the assembled state of the cutting torch in a cutting nozzle holder 21. The cutting nozzle 1 has in the lower conical sections outside longitudinal slots 22 which form fuel gas channels, which communicate with a nozzle chamber 23, the fuel gas or a fuel gas component through a line 24 is supplied. The cutting oxygen supply to a cutting zone occurs through the cutting oxygen conduit 25 and a central cutting oxygen channel 26 about the vertical center axis 27.

Ein unterer Abschnitt des Brennerkopfs trägt das Bezugszeichen 33.In the FIGS. 5 and 6 31 denotes the cutting nozzle and 32 denotes the cap-like heating nozzle of a cutting torch. A lower portion of the burner head bears the reference numeral 33.

In an upper portion 34 of the cap-like heating nozzle 32, a fixing body 35 is fixedly inserted, from which the diametrically opposite two bayonet grooves 36, 37 are formed. The course of the bayonet groove 37 corresponds to that of the bayonet groove 7 in FIG FIG. 4 , In each of the two bayonet grooves 36, 37 each engage a dowel pin 38, 39, which protrudes from a lower outer shell portion 40 of the burner head 33.

The bayonet connection is reliably held firmly by an O-ring 41 disposed between a first annular bearing surface 42 on the lower outer shell portion 40 of the burner head 33 and a second annular bearing surface 43 on an upper portion 34 of the cap-like heating nozzle 32. With the O-ring 41 in this arrangement, an interior of the cap-like heating nozzle 32 formed below the O-ring 41 is sealed.

Another O-ring is not required. Therefore, the cap-like heating nozzle 32 and the lower outer shell portion 40 of the burner head 33 can be made without cylindrical sealing surfaces in a favorable production.

The cutting nozzle 31 in turn, as in the embodiment in Figures 1 - 3 , two axially spaced O-rings 48, 49 on a cylindrical upper portion 50 which is inserted in the assembled state of the cutting torch in a cutting nozzle holder 51. The cutting nozzle 31 has, in lower conical sections, outer longitudinal slots 52, which form fuel gas passages, which communicate with a nozzle chamber 53, the fuel gas or a fuel gas component through a line 54 is supplied. The cutting oxygen supply to a cutting zone is through the cutting oxygen line 55 and a central cutting oxygen channel 56 around the vertical center line 55.

In FIG. 7 61 denotes the cutting nozzle and 62 denotes the heating nozzle of a cutting torch in an outer cap 74 adapted to the outer shape of the heating nozzle 62.

Die kappenartige Düsenanordnung ist mit Ausnahme der Bajonettnuten 96, 97 rotationssymmetrisch um die in Gebrauchslage vertikale Mittelachse 108.The formation of the cap-like Heizdüsenanordnung in FIG. 7 is from the almost identical heating nozzle arrangement in FIG. 8 more clearly seen, in which the interchangeable used in an outer cap 104 Heizdüse is designated 92. In an upper portion 94, a fixing body 95 is fixed inside, from which two bayonet grooves 96, 97 are formed. Inside the outer cap, an annular bearing surface 103 is formed, which is also referred to as a second bearing surface, because it with a first annular bearing surface, for example 72 in Fig. 7 , indirectly cooperating, which is arranged on a lower Außenmatelabschnitt 70 of the burner head 63. The second annular bearing surface 103 supports a circumferential collar 106, which is formed in the heating nozzle projecting upwardly outward. On the upper side of the collar 106, an annular sealing bearing surface 107 is formed, which receives an O-ring 101, in a circumferential groove 102. The cap-like nozzle arrangement, with the exception of the bayonet grooves 96, 97 rotationally symmetrical about the center axis 108 vertical in the position of use.

Like back out FIG. 7 can be seen, in a top portion 64 of the outer cap 74, a fixing body 65 fixedly inserted from the diametrically opposite two bayonet grooves 66, 67 are formed, which the bayonet grooves 96, 97 in Fig. 8 correspond. In each of the two bayonet grooves 66, 67 each engage a dowel pin 68, 69, which protrudes from a lower outer shell portion 70 of the burner head 63.

The bayonet connection in FIG. 7 is reliably held firmly by the O-ring 71, which between a first annular bearing surface 72 on the lower outer shell portion 70 of the burner head 63 and a in FIG. 7 unspecified sealing surface, corresponding to 107 in Fig. 8 , is arranged on top of the heating nozzle 62. The pressure force acting on the O-ring 71 is conducted from the second bearing surface 73 of the outer cap 74 via the collar 76 of the heating nozzle 62 in the O-ring 71. Thus, the inner space of the outer cap 74 enclosing the heating nozzle 62 is well sealed to the outside.

The cutting nozzle 61 also points in FIG. 7 two axially spaced O-rings 78, 79 on a cylindrical upper portion 80 which is inserted in the assembled state of the cutting torch in a cutting nozzle receptacle 81. The cutting nozzle 61 has, in lower conical sections, outer longitudinal slots 82 which form fuel gas passages communicating with the nozzle space 83 to which fuel gas and fuel gas component, respectively, are supplied. The cutting oxygen supply to a cutting zone occurs through the cutting oxygen conduit 85 and a central cutting oxygen passage 86 about the vertical center axis 87.
