Die Erfindung betrifft einen Einpressstift zur Herstellung einer elektrischen Verbindung zu einer einen Abschnitt des Einpressstifts aufnehmenden Aufnahme, mit einer elastischen, die elektrische Verbindung herstellenden Einpresszone.
Stand der Technik
Aus dem Stand der Technik sind Einpressstifte der eingangs genannten Art bekannt. Ein Einpressstift stellt in seiner
Grundfunktion eine lötfreie elektrische Verbindung, beispielsweise zwischen einer Leiterplatte und einem Steckerkontakt, her. Die Einpresszone des Einpressstiftes dient dabei zum einen als elektrische Kontaktzone und zum anderen als mechanische Befestigung des Einpressstiftes an der Leiterplatte. Die mechanische Stabilität dieser Verbindung wird in erster Linie durch die Faltkraft (Lochlaibungskraft) der verwendeten Einpresszone beschrieben. Um eine hohe mechanische Stabilität zu gewährleisten, muss diese Faltkraft entsprechende hoch sein. Aufgrund technischer Grenzen führt eine zu hohe Faltkraft der Einpresszone am Einpressstift zu einer nachhaltigen Beschädigung einer metallisierten Bohrung in der Leiterplatte. Diese Effekt verstärkt sich mit zunehmender Anzahl der Einpressstifte aufgrund der größer werdenden Streuung der Lage beziehungsweise Position der einzelnen Einpressstifte zueinander. Daher stellt die gewählte Faltkraft der Einpresszone immer einen Kommpromis zwischen der mechanischen Stabilität und der Qualität, bezogen auf die bekannten Fehlerbilder, dar. Offenbarung der Erfindung
Erfindungsgemäß ist es vorgesehen, dass die Einpresszone eine erste Einpresszone bildet, an die sich eine zweite Einpresszone axial anschließt, wobei die erste Einpresszone und die zweite
Einpresszone ein unterschiedliches Federverhalten aufweisen. So ist vorteilhafterweise das Federverhalten der ersten Einpresszone für eine optimale elektrische Kontaktierung und das Federverhalten der zweiten Einpresszone für einen optimalen Halt ausgebildet. Die erste Einpresszone wirkt somit hauptsächlich als elektrische Kontaktzone, über die der elektrische Kontakt von dem Einpressstift beziehungsweise von dem dem Einpressstift zugehörigen elektrischen/elektronischen Bauelement zu der Leiterplatte hergestellt wird. Vorteilhafterweise ist die Aufnahme dabei als eine Durchkontaktierung ausgebildet und weist eine Metallisierung auf. Durch die vorteilhafte Ausgestaltung des Einpressstifts kann auf zusätzliche Sicherheits- beziehungsweise Befestigungsmaßnahmen, wie zum Beispiel ein Einklemmen der Leiterplatte zwischen einem Gehäuse und einem Gehäusedeckel mit Federelementen, verzichtet werden. Zudem ist der erfindungsgemäße Einpressstift besonders kostengünstig herstellbar.
Zweckmäßigerweise weisen die erste Einpresszone und die zweite Einpresszone jeweils eine Diagonale, senkrecht zur axialen Erstreckung des Einpressstiftes, auf, die größer als die der
Aufnahme ausgebildet ist, wobei vorteilhafterweise die Diagonale der zweiten Einpresszone mindestens so groß wie die Diagonale der ersten Einpresszone ausgebildet ist, sodass beim Einpressen des Einpressstiftes beide Einpresszonen mit der Aufnahme in Kontakt treten.
Damit der Einpressstift in beziehungsweise durch die Aufnahme gesteckt werden kann, weist der Einpressstift eine Eigenelastizität auf, wobei vorteilhafterweise die zweite Einpresszone einen größeren elastischen Verformungsbereich aufweist als die erste Einpresszone. So kann die zweite Einpresszone beim Einführen in die Aufnahme elastisch zusammen gedrückt werden und beim Austreten aus der Aufnahme aufgrund ihrer Eigenelastizität wieder entspannen und in ihre Ausgangsform zurückfedern. Die zweite Einpresszone wirkt somit beim Austreten aus der Aufnahme als Hintergriff, sodass sich der Einpressstift nicht ohne Weiteres von der Aufnahme der Leiterplatte lösen lässt.
Vorteilhafterweise ist in der zweiten Einpresszone des Einpressstifts mindestens ein Durchbruch ausgebildet, sodass sich der
Einpressstift im Bereich der zweiten Einpresszone leichter und vor allem weiter elastisch verformen lässt. Dadurch wird die Faltkraft (Lochlaibungskraft), also die zum Zusammendrücken notwendige Kraft, der zweiten Einpresszone verringert. Dies hat den Vorteil, dass beim Einsteckvorgang weniger Querkräfte auf die Aufnahme wirken, die die Aufnahme beziehungsweise die Leiterplatte beschädigen könnten, und dass beim Austreten aus der Aufnahme die zweite Einpresszone von selbst wieder in ihre Ausgangsform zurückfedert.
Zeckmäßigerweise weist die erste Einpresszone eine größere
Diagonale als die Aufnahme auf, sodass die erste Einpresszone in der Aufnahme vorgespannt ist und einen sicheren elektrischen Kontakt zwischen dem Einpressstift und der Aufnahme gewährleistet. Vorteilhafterweise weist die erste Einpresszone dazu eine äußere Kontur auf, die im Wesentlichen der der Aufnahme entspricht, sodass eine möglichst große Kontaktfläche gegeben ist. Dadurch dass die Diagonale der ersten Einpresszone größer ist als die der Aufnahme, wird die erste Einpresszone in die Aufnahme gepresst.
Vorteilhafterweise ist die erste Einpresszone in der Aufnahme zumindest teilweise plastisch verformt. So weist die erste Einpresszone eine höhere Faltkraft auf und gewährleistet eine „saubere" elektrische Verbindung. Hierbei wird durch die Kombination der zwei Einpresszonen mit unterschiedlichen Faltkräften und elastischen Verformungsbereichen eine stabile und sichere Verbindung gewährleistet, die somit auch tauglich für Anwendungen, wie zum Beispiel im Automobilbereich, ist, bei denen mit starken Vibrationen und/oder Stößen zu rechnen ist.
Nach einer Weiterbildung der Erfindung weist die erste Einpresszone eine Vertiefung auf, die vorteilhafterweise axial ausgebildet ist, und eine, zumindest teilweise, plastische Verformung des Einpressstifts an der ersten Einpresszone erlaubt. Der gesamte erfindungsgemäße Einpressstift kann wie ein bekannter Einpressstift aus dem Stand der Technik durch ein Stanz-Biegewerkzeug geformt werden, sodass hierbei keine zusätzlichen Herstellungskosten entstehen und der erfindungsgemäße Einpressstift nahezu kostenneutral zu einem aus dem Stand der Technik hergestellt werden kann.
Vorteilhafterweise weist die zweite Einpresszone eine größere Diagonale als die erste Einpresszone auf. Dadurch wird der Knopfloch-Effekt verstärkt und ein sicherer Halt des Einpressstiftes in der Aufnahme gewährleistet. Da die zweite Einpresszone einen größeren elastischen Verformungsbereich und aufgrund des Durchbruchs eine geringere Faltkraft aufweist, ist ein Einpressen des Einpressstiftes in die Aufnahme weiterhin problemlos möglich, ohne dass die Aufnahme und/oder der Einpressstift beschädigt werden, wobei die zum Einpressen notwendige Kraft im Vergleich zum Stand der Technik in etwa gleich bleibt.
Vorteilhafterweise weist die zweite Einpresszone eine im Wesentlichen tropfenartige Kontur auf, wobei ihr stumpfes Ende in die erste Einpresszone übergeht. Dies bewirkt, dass der Einpressstift leicht eingesteckt und, sobald die zweite Einpresszone in ihre Ausgangsform zurückgefedert ist, nur schwer wieder herausgezogen werden kann. Ausführungsform(en) der Erfindung
Die Figur 1 zeigt ein Ausführungsbeispiel eines erfindungsgemäßen Einpressstifts 1 in einer Draufsicht. Der Einpressstift 1 weist einen von einem elektrischen/elektronischen Bauelement kommenden Hals 3 auf, der in eine erste Einpresszone 4 übergeht, wobei die Einpresszone 4 breiter ausgebildet ist als der Hals 3. Die
Einpresszone 4 weist dabei eine im Wesentlichen rechteckförmige Kontur auf. An die erste Einpresszone 4 schließt sich axial eine zweite Einpresszone 5 an, die eine tropfenenartige Außenkontur aufweist, wobei eine Diagonale der Einpresszone 5, beziehungsweise eine Breite der Einpresszone 5, senkrecht zur Längserstreckung des Einpressstiftes 1 größer ausgebildet ist, als eine Diagonale beziehungsweise Breite der Einpresszone 4. Die zweite Einpresszone 5 geht dabei an ihrem der Einpresszone 4 gegenüberliegenden Ende in eine Spitze 6 über. Die zweite Einpresszone 5 weist einen Durchbruch 7 auf, der eine im Wesentlichen tropfenförmige Kontur aufweist, die der Außenkontur der zweiten Einpresszone 5 im Wesentlichen entspricht. Der Einpressstift 1 weist einen Randbereich 8 auf, welcher die erste Einpresszone 4 und die zweite Einpresszone 5 umschließt und jeweils in den Hals 3 und in die Spitze 6 übergeht.
Wie in den Figuren 2 und 3 in jeweils einem Querschnitt dargestellt, sind in den Einpresszonen 4 und 5 jeweils Schrägen 9 und 10 ausgebildet, die von dem Randbereich 8 in den mittleren Bereich des Einpressstiftes 1 führen. Die Figur 2 stellt dabei einen Schnitt durch den Einpressstift 1 entlang der Linie A-A in der Einpresszone 5 dar. Die Schrägen 9 führen dabei von einer Vorderseite des Einpressstiftes 1 beziehungsweise vom Randbereich 8 zu dem Durchbruch 7. In dieser Darstellung ist außerdem zu erkennen, dass der Einpressstift 1 senkrecht zu seiner Längserstreckung eine etwa rechteckförmige Außenkontur aufweist. Durch die Blickrichtung des in der Figur 2 dargestellten Querschnitts sind außerdem die Schrägen 10 der ersten Einpresszone 4 zu sehen, die weniger steil ausgebildet sind. Die Figur 3 zeigt den Querschnitt durch die erste Einpresszone 4 entlang einer Linie B-B aus der Figur 1. Im Bereich der Einpresszone 4 bilden die Schrägen 10 eine trichterartige Vertiefung 11 mit einer Bodenfläche 12, die auch als Steg bezeichnet wird.
Aufgrund der geometrischen Ausgestaltung der beiden Einpresszonen 4 und 5 weisen diese ein unterschiedliches Verhalten auf. Die zweite Einpresszone 5 weist durch den Durchbruch 7 und die steilen Schrägen 9 einen großen elastischen Verformungsbereich auf. Das heißt, dass im Bereich der Einpresszone 5 der Einpressstift 1 problemlos weit elastisch verformt werden kann, wobei er senkrecht zu seiner Längserstreckung in Richtung der Pfeile 13 zusammengedrückt wird, wie in Figur 2 dargestellt. Die erste Einpresszone 4 dagegen, weist einen kleineren elastischen Verformungsbereich auf, sodass diese früher plastisch verformt wird als die zweite Einpresszone 5, wenn Kräfte in Richtung der Pfeile 13 wirken.
Die Figur 4 zeigt den Einpressstift 2 aus den vorhergehenden Figuren in einem Ausführungsbeispiel mit einer Anlagefläche 14. Der Einpressstift 1 ist dabei in einem Gehäuse 15, welches beispielsweise zu einem Gehäuse eines elektrischen/elektronischen Bauteils gehört, so angeordnet, dass sich der Einpressstift 1 mit seinen Einpresszonen 4 und 5 im Wesentlichen außerhalb des Gehäuses 15 befindet. Der Hals 3 des Einpressstifts 1 geht dabei an seinem der ersten Einpresszone 4 gegenüberliegenden Ende in einen Haltebereich 16 über, der mit dem Gehäuse 15 in Kontakt steht. Die Anlagefläche 14 ist dabei senkrecht zur Längserstreckung des Einpressstiftes 1 ausgebildet. Das Gehäuse ist vorteilhafterweise aus Kunststoff gefertigt.
Die Figur 5 zeigt den Einpressstift 1 aus der Figur 4 mit der Anlagefläche 14 im montierten Zustand an einer Leiterplatte 17. Die Leiterplatte 17 weist als Aufnahme eine Öffnung 18 auf, die als Durchkontaktierung 19 ausgebildet ist. Dazu weist die Öffnung 18 und ein Bereich nahe der Öffnung 18 auf der Oberseite 21 und der Unterseite 22 der Leiterplatte 17 eine Metallisierung 22 auf. Wird der Einpressstift 1 in Richtung des in Figur 4 dargestellten Pfeils 23 in die Öffnung 18 der Leiterplatte 17 gesteckt, so zentriert zunächst die Spitze 16 den Einpressstift 1 in der Öffnung 18. Beim Weiterschieben wird die Einpresszone 5 des Einpressstiftes 1 zusammengedrückt, da die Diagonale der Einpresszone 5 größer als die der Öffnung 18 ausgebildet ist. Aufgrund der Gestaltung der Einpresszone 5 wird der Einpressstift 1 im Bereich der Einpresszone 5 elastisch verformt, sodass beim Austreten der Einpresszone 5 aus der Öffnung 18 diese wieder in ihre Ausgangsform zurückfedert.
Dadurch, dass die Einpresszone 5 breiter als die Öffnung 18 und tropfenförmig ausgebildet ist, entsteht der sogenannte Knopfloch- Effekt, sodass der Einpressstift 1 nicht ohne Weiteres aus der Öffnung 18 der Leiterplatte 17 wieder herausgezogen werden kann (in der dem Pfeil 23 entgegengesetzten Richtung) und formschlüssig an der Leiterplatte 17 gehalten wird. Da der Einpressstift 1 im Bereich der Einpresszone 5 lediglich elastisch verformt wird, weist er in diesem Bereich eine geringe Faltkraft auf, wobei die Faltkraft die Kraft ist, die nötig ist, um die Einpresszone 5 zu verformen. Dies hat den Vorteil, dass auf die Metallisierung 22 der Öffnung 18 beim Zusammenstecken nur geringe Querkräfte wirken, die keinerlei Beschädigung verursachen. Die Einpresszone 4 besitzt aufgrund ihrer geometrischen Gestaltung eine höhere Faltkraft als die
Einpresszone 5 und einen kleineren elastischen Verformungsbereich. Da sie vorteilhafterweise ebenfalls eine Diagonale aufweist, die größer als die der Aufnahme beziehungsweise der Öffnung 18 ausgebildet ist, wird sie über ihren elastischen Bereich hinaus bis in den plastischen Verformungsbereich verformt und gewährleistet somit eine sichere elektrische Verbindung von dem Einpressstift 1 zu der Metallisierung 18 beziehungsweise der Leiterplatte 17. Die Einpresszonen 4 und 5 gewährleisten somit zusammen eine sichere elektrische Verbindung und einen stabilen Halt des Einpressstifts 1 an der Leiterplatte 17. Durch die vorteilhafte tropfenförmige Kontur der Einpresszone 5 ist zum Einstecken eine geringere Kraft in Richtung des Pfeils 23 notwendig als zum Herausziehen. Die Anlagefläche 14 des Gehäuses 15 verhindert ein "Durchrutschen" des Einpressstiftes 1 durch die Leiterplatte 17. Vorteilhafterweise ist die Anlagefläche 14 so angeordnet, dass der Einpressstift 1 unter einer Vorspannung in der Öffnung 18 gehalten wird. Durch die stabile mechanische Verbindung kann auf kostenintensive Sondermaßnahmen verzichtet werden. Darüber hinaus ist die so realisierte mechanische Verbindung tauglich für Anwendungsbereiche in denen starke Vibrationen und/oder Stöße zu erwarten sind, wie zum Beispiel im Automobilbereich. Ein Kompromiss zwischen mechanischer Festigkeit und elektrischer Anbindung, der bei Verwendung einer einzigen Einpresszone getroffen werden müsste, entfällt und die Einpresszonen 4 und 5 können optimal angepasst werden. Im Vergleich zu einem Einpressstift mit einer Einpresszone kann der vorteilhafte Einpressstift 1 nahezu kostenneutral hergestellt werden, da lediglich die Form des Stanz-Biegewerkzeuges zur Erstellung des Einpressstiftes 1 angepasst werden muss.
Die Figur 6 zeigt ein beispielhaftes Faltkraft-/Faltwegdiagramm 24, bei dem eine Faltkraft 25 über einen Faltweg 26 der Einpresszonen 4 und 5 aufgetragen ist. Im dem Diagramm 24 ist eine Kurve 27 dargestellt, die den theoretischen Faltkraftverlauf über den Faltweg der zweiten Einpresszone 5 darstellt. Die Kurve beginnt im Ursprungspunkt 28 des Diagramms und verläuft zunächst als idealisierte Gerade, die der Hookschen Geraden für die Einpresszone 5 entspricht, und steigt mit zunehmenden Faltweg 26 bis zu einem Wert 29 an. Ab dem Wert 29 nimmt die Steigung der Kurve 27 ab.
Eine zweite Kurve 30 stellt den Faltkraft-/Faltwegverlauf der ersten Einpresszone 4 dar. Da die Einpresszone 4 erst nach der Einpresszone 5 von der Öffnung 18 verformt wird und schmaler ausgebildet ist als die Einpresszone 5, beginnt die Kurve 30 zu einem späteren Wert 31 auf der Faltwegachse 26 und verläuft wesentlich steiler als die Kurve 27 bis zu einem Wert 32, der noch vor dem Wert 29 liegt, als idealisierte (Hooksche) Gerade, bevor die Steigung abnimmt. Die Bereiche zwischen den Werten 28 und 29 beziehungsweise 31 und 32 stellen jeweils den elastischen Verformungsbereich der Einpresszonen 4 und 5 dar. Die durchgezogene Kurve 33 stellt den resultierenden, idealisiert dargestellten, Faltkraftverlauf der beiden Einpresszonen 4 und 5 über den Faltweg 26 dar. Durch die geometrische Ausgestaltung der Einpresszonen weist die zweite Einpresszone 5 einen größeren elastischen Verformungsbereich 43 als die erste Einpresszone 4 (35) auf. Darüber hinaus ist die nötige Faltkraft zum Verformen der Einpresszone 5 niedriger als die der Einpresszone 4, sodass die Metallisierung 22 der Öffnung 18 beim Zusammenstecken nicht beschädigt wird. Die nominal resultierende Faltkraft der beiden Einpresszonen 4 und 5 entspricht dabei dem Wert 36, bei einem Endlochdurchmesser der Öffnung 18 mit dem Wert 37.
Die Einpresszone 5 wird dabei soweit verformt, dass ihr plastischer Verformungsbereich nicht erreicht wird, sodass die Einpresszone 5 beim Austreten aus der Öffnung 18 wieder in ihre Ausgangsform zurückfedert.

Claims

Ansprüche
1. Einpressstift zur Herstellung einer elektrischen Verbindung zu einer einen Abschnitt des Einpressstifts aufnehmenden Aufnahme, mit einer elastischen, die elektrische Verbindung herstellenden Einpresszone, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Einpresszone eine erste Einpresszone (4) bildet, an die sich eine zweite Einpresszone (5) axial anschließt, wobei die erste Einpresszone (4) und die zweite Einpresszone (5) ein unterschiedliches Federverhalten aufweisen.
2. Einpressstift nach Anspruch 1 , dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die erste Einpresszone (4) und die zweite Einpresszone (5) jeweils eine größere Diagonale als die Aufnahme (18) aufweisen.
3. Einpressstift nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Diagonale der zweiten Einpresszone (5) mindestens so groß wie die Diagonale der ersten Einpresszone (4) ausgebildet ist.
4. Einpressstift nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die zweite Einpresszone (5) einen größeren elastischen Verformungsbereich als die erste Einpresszone (4) aufweist.
5. Einpressstift nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die zweite Einpresszone (5) mindestens einen Durchbruch aufweist.
6. Einpressstift nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die erste Einpresszone (4) in der Aufnahme (18) zumindest teilweise plastisch verformt ist.
7. Einpressstift nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die erste Einpresszone (4) mindestens eine Vertiefung (11 ) aufweist.
8. Einpressstift nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die zweite Einpresszone (5) eine größere Diagonale als die erste Einpresszone (4) aufweist.
9. Einpressstift nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die zweite Einpresszone (5) im Wesentlichen tropfenförmig ausgebildet ist.
