Definitions
- the present invention relates to a method for carrying out a rinsing program in which rinsing liquid circulates in a circuit by means of a circulating pump, wherein the circulating pump has at least one hydrodynamic sliding bearing.
- washing programs are used in particular dishwashers.
- a sliding bearing 1 comprises a generally horizontally arranged bearing sleeve 2, in which a rotatable shaft 3 is arranged.
- Figure 1A is the shaft 3 in an operating condition in which a certain distance to the sleeve 2 is present on all sides and therefore only fluid friction occurs.
- the central axis M1 of the sleeve 2 and the center axis M2 of the shaft 3 are arranged vertically and horizontally offset from one another.
- the shaft 3 runs on the bottom of the sleeve 2, as in FIG. 1B is shown.
- the central axis M2 of the shaft 3 is located below the central axis M1 of the sleeve 2. If the shaft 3 is now moved, a friction occurs between the shaft 3 and the sleeve 2.
- FIG. 2 the various states of friction in relation to the speed of the shaft 3 are shown. From the resting state occurs during a rotation of the shaft 3 almost exclusively a friction as in dry-run-like conditions, resulting in considerable wear. The stronger the shaft 3 is rotated, the greater the influence of the liquid, which is arranged within the sleeve 2.
- a mixed friction occurs before at a transition speed n ü only a fluid friction occurs and no more dry friction. Therefore, the friction in the range of the transition speed n ü is very low.
- a rotational speed n 1 is used as the rotational speed for a hydrodynamic slide bearing, which is higher than the transition rotational speed n ü , in order not to come within the range of mixed friction and thus a low wear is ensured.
- FIG. 3 the sequence of a washing program of a dishwashing machine according to the prior art is shown.
- the circulation pump rotates at a speed n 1 and thus promotes a volume flow V 1 , so that circulating rinsing fluid can clean the dishes.
- the circulation pump is switched off and the rinsing liquid is changed.
- the circulation pump with the hydrodynamic sliding bearing started again and a second program section runs off. This can be repeated several times until the washing program is completed. Due to the frequent start-up of the circulation pump, a certain bearing wear occurs in the range of rotation up to the transitional speed, which decisively influences the service life of the bearing. If the bearing of the circulation pump is defective, considerable repairs must be carried out.
- a circulating pump is initially run up to an operating speed in the method and, after a program section has elapsed, the speed of the circulating pump is lowered to a speed at which fluid friction is still present at the hydrodynamic sliding bearing. At reduced speed then a water change is performed before the circulation pump is raised again to an operating speed. These steps may be repeated as often as necessary during a wash program before the circulation pump is finally shut down.
- the circulation pump is either maintained at an operating speed to deliver a certain amount of flushing fluid or a lowered speed with fluid friction.
- the speed of the circulating pump is kept at a speed just above the transition speed when lowering to a speed, so that one is still relatively safe in the field of fluid friction.
- the speed of the circulating pump in the lowered state between 2% to 10% above the transition speed.
- the speed of the circulation pump is preferably lowered at least three times.
- FIG. 4 a method for performing a washing program is shown schematically, wherein the individual program sections are shown over time.
- both the rotational speed of a circulating pump for circulating rinsing liquid and the conveyed amount of rinsing liquid are shown, wherein the flow rate and speed of course behave proportional to each other.
- a circulating pump with at least one hydrodynamic plain bearing is raised to an operating speed n 1 , whereby a volume flow V 1 of a rinsing liquid is conveyed.
- the circulation pump moves only a lowered speed n A , which is above a transition speed, that is in the range of pure fluid friction for the hydrodynamic sliding bearing.
- the delivered volume flow V A at reduced speed can go to zero, which means that the remaining rinse liquid is only stirred, but no circulation takes place in a dishwasher more. It is of course possible to promote even a low flow at reduced speed.
- the rinsing liquid is changed.
- the circulation pump is brought to an operating speed n 2 , whereby the volume flow V 2 is conveyed.
- the speed of the circulating pump is lowered again to a lowered level Speed n A driven, the startup and lowering of the circulating pump depending on the washing program can be made so often until finally the circulation pump should be turned off.
- the circulation pump is always driven above the transition speed after the start of the wash program, so that the wear on the hydrodynamic sliding bearing is extremely low.
- the circulation pump is not switched off, but operated only at the lowered speed, which keeps the bearing wear very low.
- the transition speed n ü can be influenced depending on the choice of the coefficients of friction of the sleeve 2 and the shaft 3 and the bearing geometry.
- the transition speed n u is preferably in a range of 300 to 500 min -1 , so that the lowered speed may be, for example, in a range of 700 to 1000 min -1 .
Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a method for carrying out a rinsing program in which rinsing liquid circulates in a circuit by means of a circulating pump, wherein the circulating pump has at least one hydrodynamic sliding bearing. Such washing programs are used in particular dishwashers.

It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a method for carrying out a washing program, in which the wear of a circulating pump is minimized with a hydrodynamic sliding bearing.
This object is achieved by a method having the features of
According to the invention, a circulating pump is initially run up to an operating speed in the method and, after a program section has elapsed, the speed of the circulating pump is lowered to a speed at which fluid friction is still present at the hydrodynamic sliding bearing. At reduced speed then a water change is performed before the circulation pump is raised again to an operating speed. These steps may be repeated as often as necessary during a wash program before the circulation pump is finally shut down. In the method according to the invention thus eliminates the complete shutdown of the circulating pump during the wash program, since it is only started up at the beginning of the wash program and turned off at the end. During the wash program, the circulation pump is either maintained at an operating speed to deliver a certain amount of flushing fluid or a lowered speed with fluid friction. As a result, mixed friction of liquid friction and solid friction occurs only at the beginning and at the end during the entire wash program, so that the service life of the hydrodynamic slide bearing is considerably extended. Because the critical speed ranges are only run when starting and stopping and no longer several times during a wash program. This significantly increases the life of the circulation pump and the dishwasher.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the speed of the circulating pump is kept at a speed just above the transition speed when lowering to a speed, so that one is still relatively safe in the field of fluid friction. For example, the speed of the circulating pump in the lowered state between 2% to 10% above the transition speed.
When lowering the amount of water delivered may be less than half, preferably less than 30% of the amount of water that is delivered at operating speed. It is natural It is also possible that when the speed is lowered, the rinsing liquid is only stirred but not conveyed. Bypass lines can also be used in order to avoid a promotion of flushing fluid at reduced speed.
For operating a wash program, the speed of the circulation pump is preferably lowered at least three times. As a result, the advantage of the invention regarding the longer life can be used particularly effectively.

In
At the beginning of a washing program, a circulating pump with at least one hydrodynamic plain bearing is raised to an operating speed n 1 , whereby a volume flow V 1 of a rinsing liquid is conveyed. After the first program section is ended, the circulation pump moves only a lowered speed n A , which is above a transition speed, that is in the range of pure fluid friction for the hydrodynamic sliding bearing. The delivered volume flow V A at reduced speed can go to zero, which means that the remaining rinse liquid is only stirred, but no circulation takes place in a dishwasher more. It is of course possible to promote even a low flow at reduced speed. During the reduced time, the rinsing liquid is changed.
Subsequently, in a second program section, the circulation pump is brought to an operating speed n 2 , whereby the volume flow V 2 is conveyed. Subsequently, after the second program section, the speed of the circulating pump is lowered again to a lowered level Speed n A driven, the startup and lowering of the circulating pump depending on the washing program can be made so often until finally the circulation pump should be turned off.
In the method according to the invention, the circulation pump is always driven above the transition speed after the start of the wash program, so that the wear on the hydrodynamic sliding bearing is extremely low. During the water change of the rinsing liquid, the circulation pump is not switched off, but operated only at the lowered speed, which keeps the bearing wear very low.
The transition speed n ü can be influenced depending on the choice of the coefficients of friction of the
