  1. Roof design, incorporating two or more profiled members disposed essentially parallel to each other and incorporating a U-shaped portion for receiving a plate element and holding one or more plate elements between them, where one or more spring elements (4) is or are provided by means of which spring elements (4) one or more plate elements (3) is or are supported between the profiled members (1, 2), characterised in that one or more spring elements (4) is or are formed by a pretensioned support element which is held between the profiled members (1, 2).
  2. Roof design in accordance with claim 1, characterised in that the profiled members (1, 2) incorporate one or more grooves (13, 23) to receive one or more support elements (4).
  3. Roof design in accordance with claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the one or more support elements (4) is or are manufactured from spring steel.
  4. Roof design in accordance with claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the one or more support elements (4) is or are manufactured from flexible plastic.
  5. Roof design in accordance with any one of the foregoing claims, characterised in that the profiled members (1, 2) comprise two identically constructed profiled part-members (5, 6) which can be connected together and each of which incorporates two or more projecting portions (54, 55, 64, 65) of different lengths which are set a distance apart and which extend across the longitudinal axis of the one or more plate elements (3), where on the ends of the projecting portions (54, 55, 64, 65) engaging portions (541, 552 and 641, 652) are formed which can be engaged with the engaging portions (641, 652 and 541, 552) of the profiled part-member (5, 6) to be connected.
  6. Roof design in accordance with claim 5, characterised in that between the projecting portions (54, 55, 64, 65) a drilled hole (531, 631) is provided for fastening the profiled part-members (5, 6) to a substructure.
  7. Roof design in accordance with claim 6, characterised in that the drilled hole (531, 631) is sealed with a pierceable layer of material.
  8. Roof design in accordance with any one of claims 5 to 7, characterised in that the outer projecting portion (55, 56) of each profiled part-member (5, 6) incorporates an offset part (551, 651) at the end of which is disposed a mushroom-shaped end portion (552, 652) forming the engaging portion.
  9. Roof design in accordance with claim 8, characterised in that the sideways projection of the end portion (552, 652) matches the offset part (551, 651) of the outer projecting portion (55, 65).
