Description
- La présente invention concerne de manière générale les machines de galetage, notamment celles utilisées pour l'écrouissage des vilebrequins de moteurs à combustion interne.
- Elle concerne plus particulièrement une cage à galet de boîtier d'outil de galetage comportant au moins deux supports en vis-à-vis adaptés à maintenir en position des moyens de maintien logeant un galet.
- Elle concerne également une machine de galetage comportant un boîtier d'outil d'action.
- Le vilebrequin est une pièce mécanique destinée à être constamment en mouvement lorsque le moteur est en marche, c'est la raison pour laquelle il est dimensionné de manière à être robuste mais aussi le plus léger et le moins encombrant possible.
- En particulier, c'est l'une des pièces du moteur la plus fortement sollicitée mécaniquement. En effet, le vilebrequin est soumis à des efforts de torsion et de flexion ainsi qu'à d'importantes vibrations. En outre, il doit résister à de très nombreux cycles de fonctionnement du moteur.
- Généralement, les vilebrequins sont réalisés d'une seule pièce par forgeage ou moulage puis ils subissent des opérations d'usinage, notamment d'écrouissage par galetage, destinés à modifier la structure du matériau qui les compose pour les rendre plus résistants.
- L'opération de galetage consiste à imposer une déformation permanente à la surface du matériau pour améliorer sa tenue à la fatigue.
- Plus particulièrement, elle consiste à renforcer les gorges de raccordement entre les bras et les portées du vilebrequin (appelées manetons et tourillons).
- Les machines de galetage connues comportent deux galets écartés l'un de l'autre, et généralement aussi inclinés l'un par rapport à l'autre, qui roulent chacun dans une gorge du vilebrequin en exerçant sur cette dernière un grand effort mécanique qui conduit à l'écrouissage de cette zone.
- Le document
FR 2 864 460 - Par rapport à l'état de la technique, la présente invention propose une cage à galets qui permet aux galets de pivoter pour qu'ils s'adaptent à l'orientation des gorges du vilebrequin à usiner.
- Plus particulièrement, on propose selon l'invention une cage à galet telle que définie dans l'introduction, dans laquelle les deux supports sont chacun percés d'au moins un alésage d'axe commun, et les moyens de maintien comportent deux tiges engagées librement dans lesdits alésages et entre lesquelles est interposé le galet de manière que celui-ci est adapté à pivoter autour d'un axe transversal audit axe commun.
- Ainsi, grâce à l'invention, le galet étant maintenu par des tiges qui sont elles-mêmes libres en rotation autour de l'axe selon lequel elles s'étendent, il peut, au contact d'une gorge du vilebrequin, naturellement s'incliner pour adapter son inclinaison à la géométrie de la gorge de manière à l'écrouir de manière homogène sur toute sa section.
- Selon une première variante de l'invention, il est prévu des ressorts de compression interposés chacun entre une extrémité d'une des tiges et le fond de l'alésage accueillant ladite tige.
- Ces ressorts de compression permettent aux tiges de rester chacune au contact du galet sans pour autant le bloquer en rotation de manière que ce dernier reste en place, en particulier lorsqu'il n'est pas en appui sur une des gorges du vilebrequin.
- Selon une deuxième variante de l'invention, chaque tige comporte deux extrémités chacune conformées pour maintenir le galet.
- Ainsi, les tiges de chaque support peuvent être retournées dans leur logement afin de doubler leur durée de vie en utilisant successivement leurs deux extrémités pour maintenir le galet.
- Selon un autre mode de réalisation de l'invention, chaque tige comporte un corps cylindrique engagé dans l'alésage du support correspondant, et une tête présentant un diamètre supérieur au diamètre dudit corps cylindrique, ladite tête prenant appui d'un côté contre le galet.
- Avantageusement alors, ladite tête prend appui de l'autre côté contre l'embouchure de l'alésage du support correspondant.
- D'autres caractéristiques avantageuses et non limitatives de la cage à galet selon l'invention sont les suivantes :
- chaque tige comporte une extrémité qui coopère avec le galet et qui présente une forme complémentaire de la forme d'une portion du galet ;
- les tiges sont adaptées à tourner autour de l'axe commun à l'intérieur des alésages des supports ; et
- chacune des tiges et chacun des supports est réalisé d'une seule pièce.
- L'invention concerne également une machine de galetage telle que définie dans l'introduction, dans laquelle il est prévu que ledit boîtier comporte une telle cage à galet dont les supports de la cage à galet comportent des moyens de fixation au boîtier.
- Avantageusement, les supports de la cage à galet comportent chacun une rainure et le boîtier comporte des nervures complémentaires adaptées à s'engager dans lesdites rainures pour centrer les supports par rapport au boîtier.
- La description qui va suivre en regard des dessins annexés, donnés à titre d'exemples non limitatifs, fera bien comprendre en quoi consiste l'invention et comment elle peut être réalisée.

figure 4 est une vue schématique en perspective éclatée d'une partie de la cage à galet de lafigure 1 . - Par convention, on utilisera les termes « supérieur » et « inférieur » pour désigner des éléments ou des positions orientés respectivement, selon la
figure 1 , vers le haut et vers le bas. - Sur la
figure 1 , on a représenté une machine de galetage 1 qui comporte un outil supérieur, communément appelé outil d'action 100, et un outil inférieur, communément appelé outil de réaction 10. Cette machine de galetage 1 est adaptée à écrouir un vilebrequin 50 disposé entre ces deux outils. - Le vilebrequin 50 comprend sur sa longueur une suite de paires de bras 51 s'étendant orthogonalement à son axe W. Comme le montre la
figure 2 , les paires de bras 51 permettent de raccorder des portées 52, 53 les unes aux autres. Ces portées comprennent des tourillons 53 qui sont cylindriques et qui ont un axe confondu avec l'axe W du vilebrequin 50 et des manetons 52 qui sont cylindriques et qui ont un axe parallèle et décalé par rapport à l'axe W du vilebrequin 50. - Tel que représenté sur la
figure 2 , chaque portée 52, 53 présente une surface cylindrique autour d'un axe parallèle à l'axe W du vilebrequin. Les faces latérales en vis-à-vis des deux bras 51 raccordés à un tourillon 53 ou à un maneton 52 sont quant à elles planes et s'étendent orthogonalement à l'axe W du vilebrequin 50. Les zones annulaires de raccordement entre les surfaces cylindriques des portées 52, 53 et les deux surfaces planes des faces latérales des bras 51 forment des gorges 54 à écrouir. - Comme l'illustre la
figure 1 , l'outil de réaction 10 de la machine de galetage 1, qui ne constitue pas à proprement parler l'objet de la présente invention, est destiné à supporter le vilebrequin 50 à usiner. Il comporte de manière classique un boîtier 11 de forme globalement parallélépipédique avec quatre parois latérales, dont deux parois frontales d'axe normal à l'axe W, qui bordent une paroi de fond rectangulaire. Il est ouvert en face avant et ses deux parois frontales présentent chacune une profonde encoche 12, globalement en forme de triangle, qui accueille la portée 52 ou 53 correspondante du vilebrequin 50. - Comme le montrent les
figures 1 et2 , ladite portée 52 ou 53 du vilebrequin 50 est plus particulièrement maintenue par deux roues de réaction 13 portées par deux axes 14 qui sont logés à l'intérieur du boîtier 11 et qui s'étendent entre ses deux parois frontales. Afin de permettre la rotation du vilebrequin 50 autour de son axe W, les roues de réaction 13 sont montées à pivotement sur les axes 14 au moyen de roulements à aiguilles 15. - Comme le montrent les
figures 1 et2 , l'outil d'action 100 comporte un boîtier 101 parallélépipédique séparé longitudinalement en deux parties 110, 120. Ces deux parties 110, 120 présentent chacune une paroi frontale 111, 121 qui est disposée orthogonalement à l'axe W du vilebrequin 50 et qui est bordée de retours 112, 122 s'étendant orthogonalement à ladite paroi frontale. Les deux parois frontales 111, 121 sont positionnées en regard l'une de l'autre de manière que leurs retours 112, 122 respectifs sont en contact les uns des autres et forment ensemble la tranche du boîtier 101 de l'outil d'action 100. - Le retour inférieur de chaque partie 110, 120 du boîtier 101 est interrompu sur une partie centrale de sa longueur de manière que la tranche du boîtier 101 présente une ouverture 106 disposée au-dessus de ladite portée 52 ou 53 du vilebrequin 50.
- Les retours 112, 122 des deux parties du boîtier 101 sont percés d'alésages coaxiaux 117, 127 d'axes orthogonaux aux parois frontales 111, 121 et disposés régulièrement le long de la périphérie du boîtier 101. Les alésages 127 de l'une des parties 120 du boîtier sont en outre taraudés. Ces différents alésages 117, 127 sont adaptés à accueillir des vis d'assemblage 103 des deux parties 110, 120 du boîtier ensemble.
- Le boîtier 101 est plus particulièrement positionné par rapport au vilebrequin 50 de manière que ses retours inférieurs s'étendent en longueur orthogonalement à l'axe W du vilebrequin, juste au-dessus de ce dernier.
- Les parois frontales 111, 121 des deux parties 110, 120 du boîtier 101 présentent chacune une ouverture centrale 113, 123 circulaire dans laquelle est glissé un même axe 180. Une douille à aiguilles 105 est interposée entre cet axe 180 et une roue de galetage 140, permettant à cette dernière de pivoter librement autour de l'axe 180.
- La roue de galetage 140 présente, à mi-hauteur de sa face cylindrique externe, une nervure centrale 141 de section rectangulaire qui s'étend sur l'ensemble de sa périphérie. Les faces latérales de cette nervure centrale 141 sont raccordées à la face cylindrique externe de la roue de galetage 140 par des congés arrondis 142.
- L'outil d'action 100 comporte en outre deux galets 150 maintenus sur le boîtier 101 de l'outil d'action 100 au moyen de deux cages à galet 160.
- Chaque galet 150 présente une forme de disque de faible épaisseur et est disposé en dessous de l'ouverture 106, de manière à être au contact, d'un côté, d'un des congés arrondi 142 de la roue de galetage 140, et, de l'autre, d'une des gorges 54 du vilebrequin 50. Les galets peuvent ainsi exercer un effort de galetage important sur les gorges 54 du vilebrequin 50 pour les écrouir.
- Comme le montrent plus particulièrement les
figures 1 et3 , les cages à galet 160 de l'outil d'action 100 de la machine de galetage 1 comporte deux supports 170 identiques fixés sur une même partie 110, 120 du boîtier 101, de part et d'autre de l'ouverture 106, et des moyens de maintien 161 des deux galets 150. - Comme le montre plus particulièrement la
figure 4 , les supports 170 présentent chacun une forme parallélépipédique de section rectangulaire. Ils s'étendent chacun selon la longueur d'un des retours 112, 122 inférieurs. Une de leurs extrémités prend appui sur un montant d'extrémité 107 faisant saillie des extrémités des retours inférieurs des deux parties 110, 120 du boîtier 101. L'autre extrémité est disposée au niveau de l'ouverture 106 de la tranche du boîtier 101 et est percée d'un alésage 171 cylindrique non traversant. Les alésages 171 des deux supports 170 qui sont fixés à une même partie du boîtier 101, de part et d'autre de l'ouverture 106, présentent un axe commun V. - Comme le montre la
figure 4 , chaque support 170 comporte sur sa longueur une rainure 172 réalisée en creux sur sa face latérale supérieure. En correspondance, chaque retour 112, 122 inférieur comporte sur toute sa longueur une nervure destinée à coopérer avec les rainures 172 des supports 170 pour positionner très précisément ces derniers sur le boîtier 101. - Les supports 170 sont en outre chacun percés d'un trou traversant 173 accueillant une vis de fixation dont la tête prend appui contre la face latérale inférieure du support et dont le corps est vissé dans un alésage taraudé correspondant prévu dans le retour inférieur de l'une des parties du boîtier 101.
- Les supports 170 comportent enfin des encoches 174 réalisées en creux dans l'une de leurs faces latérales pour permettre le passage de la roue de galetage 140.
- Les moyens de maintien de chaque galet 150 comprennent deux tiges 161 identiques présentant chacun un corps cylindrique 162 qui présente une longueur inférieure à la profondeur des alésages 171 des supports 170 et qui est engagé librement dans l'un de ces alésages 171. Les tiges 161 présentent en outre à l'une de leurs deux extrémités une tête 163 cylindrique de diamètre supérieur au diamètre des corps cylindriques 162.
- La face d'extrémité de la tête 163 de chaque tige 161 présente une forme en creux complémentaire de la forme d'une portion des galets 150.
- Chaque galet 150 est interposé entre les faces d'extrémités des têtes 163 des deux tiges qui sont engagées dans les alésages 171 des supports 170 fixés à un même retour 112, 122.
- Comme le montrent les
figures 1 et3 , la longueur des corps cylindriques 162 étant inférieure à la profondeur des alésages 171, les têtes 163 des tiges 161 prennent appui, d'un côté, contre l'embouchure de l'alésage 171 de l'un des supports 170, et, de l'autre, contre le galet 150 correspondant. La longueur de la tête 163 de chaque tige 161 est précisément ajustée pour que les tiges 161 maintiennent correctement les galets 150, sans pour autant exercer dessus un effort trop important, de manière à ne pas bloquer leur rotation autour de leur axe de révolution. - Les corps cylindriques 162 des tiges 161 sont engagés librement dans les alésages 171 des supports 170, si bien que chaque galet 150 peut également pivoter autour de l'axe commun V lorsque les tiges 161 pivotent dans leurs alésages 171. L'inclinaison des galets 150 peut ainsi changer pour s'adapter à la géométrie des gorges 54 du vilebrequin 50.
- En variante, chaque tige peut présenter une tête de diamètre égal au diamètre de son corps cylindrique, et deux extrémités identiques présentant une forme complémentaire de la forme d'une portion des galets. Ainsi, une fois l'une des extrémités de la tige abîmée, la tige peut être retournée dans son alésage pour remplir à nouveau la fonction pour laquelle elle a été conçue.
- Selon cette variante non représentée de la machine de galetage, un ressort de compression est interposé entre l'extrémité libre du corps cylindrique de chaque tige et la paroi de fond de l'alésage correspondant.
- Les ressorts de compression permettent de maintenir les deux tiges de chaque cage à galet au contact du galet de sorte que ce dernier puisse pivoter autour de son axe de révolution qui est disposé perpendiculairement à l'axe commun.
- Quoi qu'il en soit, chacun des tiges 161 et chacun des supports 170 de la machine de galetage 1 est réalisé d'une seule pièce.
Claims (10)
- Cage à galet (160) de boîtier (101) d'outil de galetage (1) comportant au moins deux supports (170) en vis-à-vis adaptés à maintenir en position des moyens de maintien (161) logeant un galet (150), caractérisé en ce que les deux supports (170) sont chacun percés d'au moins un alésage (171) d'axe commun (V), et les moyens de maintien comportent deux tiges (161) engagées librement dans lesdits alésages (171) et entre lesquelles est interposé le galet (150) de manière que celui-ci est adapté à pivoter autour d'un axe transversal audit axe commun (V).
- Cage à galet (160) selon la revendication précédente, caractérisée en ce qu'elle comporte des ressorts de compression interposés chacun entre une extrémité d'une des tiges (161) et le fond de l'alésage (171) accueillant ladite tige (161).
- Cage à galet (160) selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisée en ce que chaque tige (161) comporte deux extrémités chacune conformées pour maintenir le galet (150).
- Cage à galet (160) selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce que chaque tige (161) comporte un corps cylindrique (162) engagé dans l'alésage (171) du support (170) correspondant, et une tête (163) présentant un diamètre supérieur au diamètre dudit corps cylindrique (162), ladite tête (163) prenant appui d'un côté contre le galet (150).
- Cage à galet (160) selon la revendication précédente, caractérisée en ce que ladite tête (163) prend appui de l'autre côté contre l'embouchure de l'alésage (171) du support (170) correspondant.
- Cage à galet (160) selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisée en ce que chaque tige (161) comporte: une extrémité qui coopère avec le galet (150) et qui présente une forme complémentaire de la forme d'une portion du galet (150).
- Cage à galet (160) selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisée en ce que les tiges (161) sont adaptées à tourner autour de l'axe commun (V) à l'intérieur des alésages (171) des supports (170).
- Cage à galet (160) selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisée en ce que chacune des tiges (161) et chacun des supports (170) est réalisé d'une seule pièce.
- Machine de galetage (1) comportant un boîtier (101) d'outil d'action (100), caractérisé en ce que ledit boîtier (101) comporte une cage à galet (160) selon l'une des revendications précédentes dans laquelle les supports (170) comportent des moyens de fixation au bottier (101).
- Machine de galetage (1) selon la revendication précédente, caractérisé en ce que les supports (170) de la cage à galet (160) comportent chacun une rainure (172) et le boîtier (101) comporte des nervures complémentaires adaptées à s'engager dans lesdites rainures (172) pour centrer les supports (170) par rapport au boîtier (101).
