Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung (1) zum induktiven Erwärmen eines elektrisch leitenden Werkstücks (2), das in der Form einer geschlossenen Schleife ausgebildet ist, mit einem U-förmigen Magnetkern (3) mit zwei Schenkeln (4), wobei auf zumindest einem Schenkel (4) des U-förmigen Magnetkerns (3) eine elektrisch leitende Spule (5) angeordnet an eine Wechselstromquelle anschliessbar ist, und einem Magnetjoch (6), das beabstandet von zumindest einem freistehenden Ende des Schenkels (4) des U-förmigen Magnetkerns (3) angeordnet ist, sodass ein geschlossener Magnetkreis mit zumindest einem Luftspalt (7) gebildet ist, wobei die Höhe des Luftspalts (7), derart gewählt ist, dass das elektrisch leitende Werkstück (2) berührungslos durch den Luftspalt (7) durchführbar ist. Die Erfindung betrifft ferner ein Verfahren zum induktiven Erwärmen eines elektrisch leitenden Werkstücks (2), das in der Form einer geschlossenen Schleife ausgebildet ist, mit einer erfindungsgemässen Vorrichtung, bei dem ein Werkstück (2) berührungslos in einen Luftspalt (7) eingebracht wird, sodass das Werkstück (2) den Luftspalt (7) umgibt und eine von dem Werkstück (2) eingeschlossene Öffnung (10) zumindest teilweise im Luftspalt (7) liegt und die Spulen (5) der Vorrichtung (1) mit einem Wechselstrom versorgt werden.
