Claims (11)

  1.   7. Tool according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the greatest distance between the upper face and the lower face is between 5 and 20 mm.
  8. Tool according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the platform has a length, taken in the longitudinal direction of the tool, of approximately from 20 to 70 mm.
  9. Tool according to any one of claims 1 to 8, characterised in that the dog constitutes the front end of the tool.
  10. Method for positioning a continuous resilient seal (7) using a tool according to the preceding claims in a device for projecting a water jet comprising a body (1) and a jaw (2) which delimit a tunnel (16) whose cross-section is slightly greater than the largest cross-section of the tool, which opens at the outer side at an end via a first aperture (15) which can be closed and at the bottom of which there is arranged a discharge aperture (5) which is surrounded by a groove (6) for receiving the seal (7), at least one and preferably the two curved portion(s) (14) of the groove (6) being open and the seal (7) being shorter than the groove (6), characterised in that successively:
    - a curved portion of the seal (7) is retained on the dog (24),

    - the tool is removed from the tunnel via the second aperture (15),
    - the seal (7) is released from the dog (24), the curved portion of the seal thus returning by means of resilient return into the open curved portion (14) of the groove close to the second aperture (15), and
    - the tool is removed from the tunnel (16) via one of the apertures, preferably via the first aperture (15).
  11. Assembly comprising a device for projecting water jets having a groove for receiving a seal and a tool for positioning the seal, characterised in that the tool is as defined in claims 1 to 9.
