Fence (1) comprising fence posts (2) formed as hollow metal profiles and mesh panels (3), the mesh panels (3) being fixable to the fence posts (2) by means of at least one clamping plate (12), comprising support blocks and clamping blocks (4) which are approximately U-shaped in cross section, made of plastics material and can be attached to the fence posts (2), the outer edges of the U-leg (4b) that face away from the fence posts (2) comprising an extension bead oriented upwards in the position of use, characterised in that the outer edges (5) of the U-leg (4b) each have a fastening slot (7) that extends from the upper edge thereof, impinges on a part of the leg length and points outwards, and in that the fence is provided with a cover profile (9) which, in the position of use, is in the connection region between the fence posts (2) and the mesh panels (3), the cover profile (9) being formed from a metal sheet which is folded inwards at the edges, cut-outs (13) of the folded regions being provided to form engagement webs (8) for engaging in the fastening slots (7) on the clamping blocks (4).
  2. Fence according to claim 1, characterised in that the fence posts (2) are formed as cold-rolled hollow profiles, the outer edges of the metal sheets that form the profiles, which edges meet during the profiling, being laser-welded.
  3. Fence according to claim 2, characterised in that the fence posts (2) have a trapezoidal or T-shaped cross section.
  4. Fence according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the fence posts (2) are fitted with cover caps (15) which, in the completed position, overlap the outer edge of each of the posts (2) and the latched metal cover sheet (9) of the connection region.
