A device of the type described above discloses the EP 0 832 758 A1 , There, the binding units arranged in series next to each other are designed as so-called. Blasschiene, the production of which requires high precision and can only be carried out with a corresponding high expenditure. In particular, the turning of the workpiece in the various processing positions and the difficult accessibility of the necessary tools for forming is demanding.
In addition, the blower rail consists of a variety in the production of repetitive manufacturing steps.
If a binding unit of the blower rail is irreparably damaged, the entire blower rail must be exchanged for a high price.

It has the object to eliminate the disadvantages recognized in the one-piece blower rail and to provide a device that requires less production and maintenance in the application of a lower cost.

According to the invention the object is achieved in that the arranged along a fold of a sheet in a row, stitches forming binding units are releasably secured to a skirting.

This allows mass production to be carried out in small batch sizes, which is less demanding and allows easy replacement of parts with regard to the use of the blower rail.

The susceptibility to wear of affected parts of the device can thus be targeted and it can be reduced and controlled.

Advantageously, the support device for joint attachment of the binding units is strip-shaped and provides easy accessibility for assembly and service personnel.

Of course, the needle guides arranged between the binding units could each be fixedly connected to a binding unit, but it is advantageous that a distance is provided between the binding units in which the needle guide is inserted so that it can be adjusted with respect to its position.

Preferably, the needle guide is clamped by two adjacent binding units on a baseboard, which forms part of the support device and this stability mediates.

The skirting in turn is suitably connected to a saddle plate, which serves the rittlingsweise edition of a printed sheet.

In terms of a low cost construction, the baseboard has a wedge-shaped clamping surface for the binding units, which runs parallel to the direction of Nahnadelbewegungen.

By a needle guide extending to the saddle plate, the support of the sewing needle can be favored and extended.

A pitch error between sewing needles and Vorstechnadeln used can be compensated by an adjustment of the needle guide.

Fig. 1 shows a detail of a view of a stapling device 1 of a device used for the production of thread-stitched book blocks (not shown), also called thread stitching machine. In this illustration, a stitching saddle 2 cyclically driven by a feed station (not shown) into a stitching station can be seen on which a printing sheet 3 rests astride. Furthermore, in Fig. 1 each one of a first sewing needle 4 and a second sewing needle 5 formed Nähnadelpaar recognizable, which is arranged to form stitches, wherein it is the first sewing needle 4 to that, with the thread through the usually pre-punched seam 12 pulled through the outside double-stranded becomes, for which the needle point 7 an eyelet 6 has (see Fig. 3 ). After the thread 8 has been drawn in, the first sewing needle 4 is initially retracted to such an extent that a gas flow supplied laterally by a binding unit forms a loop 9 which extends beyond the position of the second sewing needle 5. The second sewing needle 5, which is surrounded by the fold 9 over the fold 12 of the previously thread-stitched signature 3, pulls the double-stranded thread 8 out of the fold 12 by a working stroke and the existing stitched book block is repelled by the thickness of a signature 3, so the next sheet 3 can be stapled. In this procedure, also the first sewing needle 4 leaves the printing sheet 3 and the loop 9 previously formed by the second sewing needle 5 for a stitch is pulled through the last loop 13 so that a new loop portion forms on the existing stitched seam 14. This procedure is repeated with each printed sheet 3 fed to a book block for stapling. The stapling device 1 used for this purpose consists of a saddle 2 on which the printed sheets 3 are placed at the end of a feed path and transferred by the saddle 2 into a stapling station 16. The next processing step, after the fold 12 is prepelled from inside to outside, show the Fig. 1 and 2 , The first 4 and the second 5 sewing needles are retracted by the fold 12 between the legs 17, 18 of a printed sheet 3 to be sewn with the sewn printed sheet 3, where the yarn transfer takes place by gas flow from the first sewing needle 4 to the second sewing needle 5. Well recognizable in Fig. 1 the over the book block extending, made by the first sewing needle 4 seam 19 and the seam 14 produced by the second sewing needle 5, the last formed loop 13 is penetrated by the second sewing needle 5. The saddle 2 has a front 20 and a rear saddle plate 21 which are arranged at an acute angle and against which the legs 17, 18 of the printing sheet 3. The width of the binding saddle 2 corresponds at least to the back length of the largest printed sheet format to be processed. The designated as a blow bar 22 part of the saddle 2 is used Nähnadel-, thread and gas flow guide and is in Fig. 3 in the form of longitudinal excerpts, in such a way that the sewing needles 4, 5 appear parallel to the plane of the drawing. The blow bar 22 consists of a plurality of binding units 23, which at one with the fifth wheel plate 21 firmly screwed skirting 24 are secured in series next to each other releasably. According to Fig. 3 The stitches of a Nähzyklusses are each formed from left to right, for which a respective pipe socket 25 on the right side of the binding unit 23 is responsible. The pipe socket 25 is connected to a gas flow source (not shown). The loosely guided thread portion is detected in the binding unit 23 by the flowing gas stream, whereby a to the right side extending loop 9 is formed, in which the second sewing needle 5 is then immersed. Thereafter, the second sewing needle 5 is pulled out with the thread 8 on the hook 11 from the binding unit 23 and further sewn. The same sewing operation can be used with the same binding unit also from right to left to form stitches, to which the adjacent pipe socket 26 is used on the same binding unit 23 (see also Fig. 6 ). In Fig. 4 is with a cross section, the blow bar 22 with the skirting board 24 and a bolted to this binding unit 23 illustrates. At the same time, the position of the first sewing needle 4 in the binding unit 23 can be seen. In Fig. 3 Furthermore, the common attachment of the binding units 23 on the skirting board 24 can be seen, wherein between the binding units 23 each have a gap or a distance to the arrangement of a needle guide 27 is provided for the first sewing needle 4. The needle guide 27 is also in the Fig. 4, 5 and 5a illustrated and spanned due to their small dimensions by two adjacent binding units 23 on the skirting board 24. The clamping of the needle guide 27 and the fastening of the binding units 23 is carried out by two respective the skirting board 24 passing through screws 28. Die Fig. 5a leaves a lateral space X of the needle guide 27 in the space provided between recognize two binding units 23. This will make it possible, after loosening two adjacent binding units 23, to adjust the needle guide (s) between each two binding units 23 in the folding direction of a printed sheet 3. The needle guides 27 are provided on the guide surface in each case with the wear-reducing measures, for example hardened. The guide needle 31 having a needle guide 27 extends transversely to the longitudinal extent to the rear fifth wheel plate 21, in which a recess 29 for the second sewing needle 5, also called hook needle, is provided. The second sewing needle 5 passes through the binding unit 23 in each case parallel to the first sewing needle 4, the sewing needles 4, 5 arranged in a row forming a plane running at an acute angle to the vertical.
