Definitions

  • the invention relates to the field of motorized operating tables, intended in particular for surgical procedures.
  • the European patent application is known EP0917868 an operating table top removably connected to a carriage.
  • the plate is successively transferred from the carriage to a fixed base, and vice versa.
  • the plate is connected to a control unit intended to control an adjustable plateau drive device with the aid of an electric motor.
  • the control unit is arranged as a separate building unit and electrically connectable to the table top of the operating table. According to a particular configuration, the control unit is arranged in the form of a portable control device.
  • Such a system also has the drawback associated with the control unit arranged in the form of a separate building unit. This turns out to be inconvenient during the transfer of the patient, since no storage at the operating table is dedicated to said control unit. In addition, by its construction, said control unit is bulky and not very ergonomic.
  • a motorized operating table controlled by a handlebar consisting of two guide arms intended to be fixed respectively on either side of the table. More specifically, said guide arms are removably attached to the side rails of the table, said rails serving as accessory holders.
  • Said handlebar further comprises a control block for controlling the start or stop of the motor and the movement of the table (forward and / or reverse) and the speed thereof. According to a particular configuration of the handlebar, the coupling of said control unit with the motor is performed optically, by infrared.
  • the previously described handlebar is, by some of these features, unsuitable for use on an operating table having the transfer functionality.
  • a first disadvantage of this handlebar is linked in that the device for controlling the position of the plate, separate from the control block, forms a unit independent of the operating table. Said devices are configured to be positioned on the side rails for accessories arranged on either side of the table. However, having no specific location and protected at the table, they are often forgotten on the table. Rails, damaged or deteriorated against the beds during patient transfer operations.
  • a second disadvantage is related to the positioning dissociated and remote from the remote control device with the handlebar control of the displacement of the table.
  • the user must regularly intervene on the remote control device of the table to adjust the height.
  • the user must be able to perform a declivity at any time in case of emergency.
  • this dissociation requires the user to have to move regularly from the control handle to the remote control device while during the transfer operation, significant vigilance must be maintained on the patient. To avoid these successive passages from one device to another, some users make the choice to hold the remote control device in the hand throughout the transfer, thus making the guidance of the table easy.
  • Another disadvantage is related to unidirectional command transfers, from the command block to the engine, without feedback.
  • the command block transmits a movement command to the table, it remains, in any case, "blind" to the execution of the command or not and what happens at the table, in particular in the engine electronics and the motorized wheel.
  • the user of the operating table is therefore not able to know immediately the causes of the non-execution of displacement and possibly to be able to remedy it.
  • Another disadvantage is related to the use of wireless links. These links are indeed disturbing, and therefore unreliable. However, poor communication between the control and the wheel generates speed variations, stops, or even untimely breakdowns. Infrared communication is also particularly undesirable because (i) the slightest light disturbance can impair transmission (ballast lighting such as neon lights and too much illumination such as daylight disturbing), and (ii) nothing happens if a field of operation covers the infrared receiver or transmitter.
  • control handlebar operates autonomously. It follows a regular electricity recharge, which can prove particularly restrictive following the use of said operating tables. It can also happen that the commands are unloaded while moving the tables, blocking them with their patients being transferred.
  • the invention aims in particular to overcome the disadvantages of the systems described above by proposing a control unit, according to claim 1, comprising the control means for moving the table and the positioning control means of the table top, so that the operating table is controlled by only one control system.
  • the invention relates to a device for guiding a motorized operating table comprising a tray for supporting a patient and a base supporting said plate, said base comprising a motor block, of the type comprising a control block for controlling the movement of the table, said control block being coupled to the engine block of the table, and characterized in that control block comprises a housing having a housing arranged to receive a control device for control the positioning of the tray relative to the base supporting the tray.
  • control device is necessarily "stored" because of the presence of a specific location dedicated to it, thus avoiding not only any risk of forgetting by the user, but also any risk of deterioration.
  • the housing opens at least on one side face of the housing, the side face advantageously constituting the front face of said housing.
  • the housing comprises an upper face and at least one lateral face, said housing opening on said upper and lateral faces, the lateral face advantageously constituting the front face of said housing.
  • the housing is delimited by two lateral walls and a bottom, said walls being interconnected by a wall facing the opening formed on the lateral face of said housing (hereinafter referred to as a rear wall). ).
  • the side walls converge slightly in the direction of the opening formed on the lateral face of said housing so as to form a clamping zone of the control device between the side walls and to retain said control device in the housing.
  • retaining means may be provided for retaining the control device in the housing.
  • said retaining means comprise an advance of the upper face of the housing above the housing.
  • the control device comprises a fastening means in the form of a hook
  • the housing will advantageously comprise means for guiding said control device in the housing, said guide means comprising a cavity formed in the bottom of the housing. The cavity will be arranged to allow the sliding of the attachment means of the control device until it abuts against the rear wall of the housing.
  • the rear wall of the housing comprises electrical coupling elements capable of cooperating with complementary electrical coupling elements formed on the face of the control device intended to come into contact with said wall.
  • the invention relates to a motorized operating table, of the type comprising a movable plate for supporting a patient associated with at least one actuator, a base supporting said plate, said base comprising an engine block, a device for control of the positioning of the plate coupled to the actuator, and a guide device according to any one of the preceding claims, said guide device being integral with the plate.
  • the guiding device is removable.
  • the operating table comprises a tray for supporting a patient, said tray being mounted on a support base.
  • This base comprises the motor for actuating the movement of the table and a wheel associated with said motor.
  • the tray meanwhile, is generally formed by a juxtaposition of three parts for receiving respectively the head, the back and the pelvis, as well as the legs of the patient.
  • the end portions are mounted hinged relative to the central portion of the plate.
  • the operating table further comprises rails fixed to the lateral edges of the plate by means of spacers. More specifically, each of the parts constituting the plate comprises, on their respective lateral edges, a rail. The rails thus arranged around the tray allow to hang the necessary accessories to the surgeon during the surgical procedure.
  • the guiding device comprises a control block 1 intended to control the displacement of said operating table.
  • control the movement of the operating table is meant the starting and stopping of the motor of the table, the control of the forward or reverse movement of said table, as well as the control of its speed of movement. These actions are performed by specific control means which will be detailed later.
  • Control arms 10 and 20 extend on either side of the control block 1 in the same plane and symmetrically with respect to the longitudinal plane of the plate.
  • the guide arms 10, 20 have at their end fixing means for removable attachment on either side of the plate, respectively on a side rail.
  • the control block 1 comprises a housing 2 in which is disposed the electronic device for controlling the movement of the table.
  • the housing 2 comprises an upper face 3 and a lower face 4, a front face 5 and a rear face, and two lateral faces 7 and 8.
  • the terms “front” and “rear” define the faces of the housing 2 with respect to their position vis-à-vis the user manipulating the operating table.
  • the guide arms 10 and 20 respectively extend on the lateral faces 7 and 8 of the housing 2.
  • Said housing 2 comprises, according to the embodiment described, a housing 9 for receiving a control device 18 of the position of the plate on the base or the position of the end portions of the plate relative to the central plate.
  • Said housing 9 is disposed on the upper part of the housing 2, so as to have an opening on the upper face 3 and an opening on the front face 5.
  • the housing 9 is delimited by a bottom 15 and by two side walls 11 and 12 joined by a rear wall 13.
  • the rear wall 13 faces the opening on the front face 5 of the housing 2.
  • the rear wall 13 comprises a coupling element 6, of the electric type.
  • said coupling element 6 is housed in the rear wall 13 so as to be able to retract.
  • the side walls 11 and 12 of the housing 9 are slightly oblique so as to approach slightly on the front face 5 of the housing 2.
  • the side walls 11 and 12 have a length greater than or equal to at the length of the rear wall 13.
  • the bottom 15 of the housing 9 comprises a longitudinal cavity 16 adapted to accommodate, when the control device 18 is inserted into the housing 9, a possible hook 17 equipping said device.
  • said control device 18 of the tray consists of a remote control configured to be arranged in the housing 9 of the housing 2.
  • control device 18 comprises an upper portion 24 and a lower portion 14, said upper portion 24 being configured to be disposed in said housing 9, and said lower portion 14 to extend out of said housing 9.
  • the upper portion 24 has a substantially "triangular" shape, the width between the side walls 19 of the control device 18 decreasing to the junction between the upper portion 24 and the lower portion 14.
  • the upper zone 21 preceding this narrowing constitutes, with the converging ends of the side walls 11 and 12 of the housing 2, locking zones for locking the control device 18 in the housing 9.
  • the control device 18 further comprises on its upper face 23 a coupling element 22, of the electric type, configured to cooperate with the coupling elements 6 arranged on the rear wall 13 of the housing 9.
  • said control device 18 comprises on its rear face 25 a hook 17 for hooking said control device 18 on the operating table, and more specifically on the side rails of the table.
  • the control device 18 is put in place on the control block 1 as follows (cf. figure 2 ).
  • the control device 18 is presented in front of the housing 9 of the housing, the upper face 23 carrying the coupling element 22 being kept substantially in the same plane as the coupling element 6 carried by the rear wall 13 of the housing, and slightly tilted down.
  • the control device 18, partially arranged in the housing 9, is slid towards the rear of the control block 1 (see arrow No. 1), until the coupling elements 6 and 22 meet, thus establishing the electric contact.
  • the hook of the control device 18 is, parallel, housed and reassembled along the cavity 16.
  • the control device 18 is then lowered (see arrow No. 2), until the portion of the rear face 25 come into contact with the bottom 15 of the housing 9.
  • the control device 18 is then maintained in the housing 9 by the zones 21 "pinch" against the converging ends of the side walls 11 and 12, thereby forming, for the control device 18, lateral stops.
  • the upper face 3 of the housing 3 advantageously comprises a slight advance 32 of the rear wall 13, extending above the housing 9 (cf. figure 4 ), to form an upper stop.
  • control device 18 is interconnectable and interchangeable with the control blocks equipping other guiding devices.
  • the control means 26 is advantageously located on the guide arm 20 constituting the right gripping handle of the guiding device.
  • the control means 26 includes a control collar 28 surrounding the guide arm 20.
  • the control collar 28 includes two lateral extensions 29 and 30 for rotating said collar around the guide arm 20.
  • the rotational movement of the extension 29 applied towards the table constitutes the forward motion control
  • the rotational movement of the extension 30 applied towards the user constitutes the reverse movement control.
  • the validation and securing means 27 is advantageously located on the guide arm 10 constituting the left gripping handle of the guiding device, close to the lateral face 7 of the control block 1.
  • Said control means 27 consists of a button -pressor that is actuated so as to control, on the one hand the descent and the ascent of the motorized wheel, and on the other hand the safe movement and braking of the operating table.
  • the descent and the ascent of the wheel are actuated respectively by the pressure and release of the push-button. Securing the displacement is obtained, meanwhile, by a continuous maintenance by the user, the pressure on the push button, the release of the push button automatically causing the braking of said table, followed by the recovery of the motorized wheel.
  • the push button has the function of enabling the user to confirm the speed command of the operating table.
  • the action of the validation and selection button 27 allows, once the motorized wheel down, a rotation of said operating table on itself.
  • the selection button 31 is advantageously situated on the front face 5 of the casing 2, between the opening of the front face 5 of the casing, and the lateral face 8 of the casing 2.
  • the function of the selection button 31 is to enable the casing user to choose the preferred direction of advance of the table. This control thus makes it easy to move the operating table towards the patient's head or feet, while maintaining the same ergonomics of movement.
  • the displacement control 29 of the control means 26 can always represent the forward movement, and the displacement control 30 always represents the reverse.
  • control block 1 This functionality of the control block 1 is particularly important, especially depending on whether the guiding device, being removable from the operating table, is disposed on the front part of the plate (part of the plate supporting the patient's head), or on the back part of the table (part of the tray supporting the patient's legs).
  • the guiding device is attached to the front of the operating table, to select the back direction as the preferred direction of advance.
  • This feature further has the advantage of allowing a pre-adjustment of the speed so that the reverse movement will be performed at a lower maximum speed compared to a forward motion. For example, the speed in reverse will be reduced by 50% compared to the forward speed.
  • control block 1 also comprises means for setting a maximum speed of movement of the operating table.
  • This maximum speed will be chosen according to the path to be performed by the operating table. In particular, it will be chosen a maximum movement speed of the table even lower than the areas traveled by said table during the journey are cramped.
  • control block 1 comprises communication means coupled with communication means related to the operating table, the communication between said means being bidirectional.
  • the operation table will send back to said command block 1 information relating to the execution, non-execution or non-compliance of the instructions sent by said command block 1. The user is thus guaranteed the good communication between the control block 1 and the table, and informed of the situation of the motorized wheel (up or down), the preferred direction of advance selected and the speed level requested .
  • the grouping on the guide device, at the control block 1, the control means 26, 27 and 31 of the displacement of the operating table and the remote control device 18 of the plate, makes it possible to secure the transfer of the patient by simplifying and facilitating access to the controls of the operating table.
  • the coupling of the control block with the engine is achieved by means of a secure wired connection (computer protocol).
  • control block 1 is powered directly on the operating table.
  • the guiding device consisting of the control block 1 and the control device 18 will have a balanced shape to avoid the rotational movement observed on the systems of the prior art during their disassembly of the operating tables.
