Description

Technisches GebietTechnical area

The invention relates to a cable processing device having a plurality of processing stations for assembling a cable comprising a pivot arm with a Schwenkarmkopf, the cable guide, a can be brought into an open and closed position cable gripper, a guide tube and a feeder for conveying the cable through the cable guide, the cable gripper and the guide tube to the processing stations.

Stand der TechnikState of the art

Such a cable processing device is known from EP 1548903 known. The cable guide, the cable gripper and the guide tube have a common central axis and are jointly intended to transport a cable to be assembled in the required mass from a cable drum in the direction of the front end of the Schwenkarmkopfes and from this successively to different processing stations and with their help assemble. The Schwenkarmkopf performs for this purpose pivotal movements and in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the pivoting arm reciprocating movements. The cable gripper serves to secure the cable against an axially directed relative displacement in the Schwenkarmkopf while this is retracted, for example, to strip the front end of the cable. In order to secure the required, firm grip on the cable, the cable gripper usually consists of a pliers-like structure that surrounds the cable with comb-like clamping jaws with several gripper fingers on both sides and which has a prismatic cable passage of variable cross-section, which allows cables with different To fix diameters with the necessary holding force. Darstellung der ErfindungPresentation of the invention

The invention is based on the object to further develop such a cable processing device such that new cable ends can be quickly threaded into the guide tube while avoiding manual labor and risky manipulations.

This object is achieved in a device according to the preamble by the characterizing features of claim 1. In advantageous developments, the dependent claims.

Accordingly, it is provided in the cable processing device according to the invention that the guide tube parallel to its longitudinal direction slidably mounted in a guide of the Schwenkarmkopfes and in the open position of the cable gripper through it with the cable guide into engagement and displaceable in the rest position into a position in the its front end projects beyond the swivel arm head by at least the length of the cable gripper.

The guide tube can be designed to be displaceable by means of a spring in the rest position. In this case, no internal motor drive for the shift is required. The guide tube, which is arranged together with the cable gripper and the cable guide on a common longitudinal axis, can thus be pushed or pulled on the axis far enough into the Schwenkarmkopf that it penetrates the open cable gripper and at least approximately engages the cable guide. Also very easily bendable, flexible cable ends can therefore be safely and reliably advanced through the cable guide into the nozzle tube to its front end. The nozzle tube, the one Length, which exceeds that of the cable gripper, can then be moved back to its normal operating position, in which it projects beyond the front end of the Schwenkarmkopfes without the risk that the inserted cable falls down. Suitably, the nozzle tube is at least twice as long as the voltage applied to the surface of the cable cable gripper.

The guide tube can be moved through a motor drive with the cable gripper open therethrough and designed to be engageable with the cable guide, for example, by an electric motor drive or by a piston / cylinder unit, in which a pressurizable fluid can be fed.

According to an advantageous embodiment, it is provided that the guide tube can be applied with its front end face to a fixed mounted stop and by a longitudinal displacement of the pivot arm or Schwenkarmkopfes with open cable gripper through this slidably and with the cable guide is engageable. This embodiment is preferred within the scope of the invention, because the pivot arm or the Schwenkarmkopf anyway execute programmatically the required relative to the threading of a new cable end relative movements of the guide tube, without the need for its own drive or its own control. In addition, eliminates the weight of their own drive and its own control to its operation for the correct implementation of the relative displacements of the guide tube and the susceptibility of their own energy supply for the drive.

The guide tube may have a cable passage which is hollow-cone-shaped widened at the end facing the cable guide, wherein the cable guide tapers conically at the end facing the guide tube and thereby self-centering with the guide tube can be brought into engagement. Even taking into account the usual game, it is possible by self-centering mating the mutual mouths so precisely fit that even flexible cables of a very small diameter can be pushed fully automatically and easily.

Ausführung der ErfindungEmbodiment of the invention

In the Fig. 1 shown cable processing device is used for sequentially feeding a plurality of processing stations with a cable that is to be assembled and is to be provided, for example, with a crimped to the end contact element. For this purpose, the cable end must first be stripped, what happens in a first processing station, and then the stripped cable end to the next processing station be converted, in which it is combined with a crimp contact element and thus permanently connected. Further processing operations can be connected in further processing stations. All of them are positioned in a semicircle around the swiveling arm, which can be swiveled about a vertical axis, and are started by the swivel arm in the respectively required sequence in a program-controlled manner and operated by forward and backward movements of the swivel arm head.

The pivot arm 2 is mounted in a carriage 10 which is in a carriage guide 11 of a turntable 12 parallel to its longitudinal direction back and forth and forth pivotable about a vertical axis 13 by means of the turntable. Both the reciprocating movements and the pivoting movements of the swivel arm 2 are motorized and programmatically.

The swivel arm 2 comprises at the front end a Schwenkarmkopf 3 and a cable guide 4, a means of a motor rotatable about its axis shaft 9 in an open and closed position cable gripper 5 and a guide tube 6 and a feed device, not shown for conveying the cable 1 through the Cable guide 4, the cable gripper 5 and the guide tube 6 to the processing stations.

The feeder is arranged outside de swivel arm 2 and not shown in the drawing. It consists at least of a cable drum, a straightening station for the unwound from the cable drum cable and a cable conveyor, which may be formed by two conveyor belts, which compress the cable to be conveyed between them and programmatically in the direction of the cable guide 4 and the Schwenkarmkopfes 3 and move it aligned guide tube 6 forward.

The guide tube 6 is slidably mounted parallel to its longitudinal direction in a guide of the Schwenkarmkopfes 3 and in the open position of the cable gripper 5 through the cable gripper and slidably engageable with the cable guide 4 in engagement. In the rest position, the guide tube 6 can be advanced by means of a spring 7 into a rest position in which its front end projects beyond the pivot arm head 3 by at least the length of the cable gripper 5.

The guide tube 6 may be formed engageable by a motor drive with the cable gripper open with the cable guide.

In contrast, in the execution of the Fig. 1 and 2 the guide tube 6 parallel to its longitudinal direction to a stop 8 can be applied and against the force of the spring 7 by a longitudinal displacement of the pivot arm 2 with the cable gripper 5 open through this slidably and with the cable guide 4 engageable. For the backward displacement of the guide tube 6 in its rest position, it only requires a retraction of the swing arm 2 in its initial position. For this purpose, no separate self-propulsion with its own control for the movements of the guide tube 6 is required, but it can be expanded and used accordingly for this purpose, the existing drive and the control of the swing arm 2, the Schwenkarmkopfes 3 and the cable gripper 5. An actual expansion of the hardware is usually not necessary, but it is sufficient to program the necessary movements to perform a new cable, starting from the cable conveyor, fully automatically in the guide tube 6 and continue with the operation.

The guide tube 6 has for this purpose a cable passage which is widened at the end facing the cable guide 4 hollow cone, wherein the Cable guide 4 tapers conically at the end facing the guide tube 6 and thereby self-centering with the guide tube 6 can be brought into engagement. Even very thin and highly flexible cables can be advanced fully automatically to the front end of the guide tube 6 after insertion into the cable guide 4 by means of the cable conveyor. Subsequently, the Schwenkarmkopf 3 is withdrawn from the stop 8 and the guide tube 6 relieved, being displaced by the force of the spring 7 in the Schwenkarmkopf 3 forward until its collar abuts against a stop of the Schwenkarmkopfes 3. The guide tube 6 is thus in its working position and is adapted to supply the cable to be assembled programmatically to the individual processing stations.

The cable guide 4 and the guide tube 6 have an inner diameter which is only slightly larger than the outer diameter of the cable to be assembled. The cable containing metallic cable strands can therefore also be pushed by the cable conveyor if it is of only small diameter and great flexibility.
