Es wird eine Steckdose (1) mit Orientierungsbeleuchtung vorgeschlagen,
• mit einer einen Steckdosentopf (12) aufweisenden Zentralscheibe (4), deren Frontseite einen zugeordneten Abdeckrahmen (42) um ein vorgegebenes Maß überragt und welche eine seitliche Lichtaustrittsöffnung (7) aufweist,
• mit einem mit der Zentralscheibe (4) verbindbaren Gerätesockel (22), an dessen Bodenseite ein separates Leuchtmittelmodul (29) montiert ist, welches in seinem Innenraum mindestens eine Leuchtdiode (31, 33) mit zugeordneter Lichtaustrittsöffnung (30, 32) sowie Energieversorgungsmittel für die Speisung dieses Lichtmittels aufweist,
• und mit einem Lichtleiter (13), dessen Lichteintrittsfläche (17, 18) über der Lichtaustrittsöffnung (30, 32) des Leuchtmittelmoduls (29) angeordnet ist und dessen Lichtaustrittsfläche (19) in die seitliche Lichtaustrittsöffnung (7) der Zentralscheibe (4) greift.
