Description

The field of the invention is that of information display racks for communication or visual advertising at POS points of sale. The displays of the invention are collapsible columns on themselves and unfoldable almost automatically, with the advantage of being able to be transported and stored in excellent conditions, on the one hand, and to be very quickly installed on site, on the other hand.

From a folded state, simply begin to unfold the support so that, under the action of resilient return means, it unfolds completely automatically. Naturally, conversely, the folding of the support takes place against the action of the return means.

By the document FR-2824946 an information display rack is known on a presentation face, comprising a blank of a substantially rigid and collapsible material comprising said presentation face, resilient return and constraint means for bombarding the presentation face of the blank and a plurality of inserts for holding the presentation face of the blank in the convex state, antagonists of the elastic stress means.

In this support of the prior art, the holding strips, or inserts, in the expanded state of the support, extend inside the support.

The applicant has sought to provide a support whose interior space, in the deployed state, is left free to slide an object or slide the support around an object, which exceeds or not support. The object may have an advertising function or a purely physical function of maintaining the stability of the support if, in the deployed state, the surface of the base is too small.

Thus, the invention relates to an information display rack with at least one presentation surface comprising a plurality of blanks, of a substantially rigid material and articulated together in a hinge direction, with two edge blanks. each extending between a hinge edge and a free edge substantially parallel to the hinge edge, the support being able to be flat against the action of elastic return means, with the two free edges of the two edge blanks spaced apart from each other, and the blanks can thus be folded on themselves, the elastic return means being arranged for, after unfolding the blanks, bring the two free edges, one of the other, substantially confuse them and thus deploy the support, the width of one of the two edge blanks, between its hinge edge and its free edge, being different from the rest of the developed width of the support, the two edge blanks being extended each by flaps for fixing elastic return means, articulated at its free edge and folded inwards so that, in the deployed state of the support, the fastening flaps of the two edge blanks are flush against each other between the two border blanks.

By blank is meant a relatively lightweight cardboard element or card stock, or even relatively rigid plastic, extending between two hinge edges, or a hinge edge and a free edge if it is is a border blank, on the one hand, and two transverse edges, on the other hand. It may be an isolated element or a part of a larger blank, the element considered being then obtained after folding of the blank extended along one or two hinge edges.

By developed width of the support, is meant the sum of the widths of all the blanks of the support, the width considered between the two hinge edges or between the hinge edge and the free edge when it is a blank border. The rest of the developed width is therefore equal to this developed width minus the width of the border blank considered.

It will be noted from the outset that the support of the invention, in its developed configuration, has no hinge edge equidistant from the two free edges.

Note also that, as soon as the two free edges of the support of the invention are spaced from each other, the biasing means are under stress and that, under their action, the support is deployed to be able to erect on a polygonal base formed of contiguous transverse edges of the blanks, not folded over each other.

The support of the invention being devoid of internal retaining inserts, but only inner fastening flaps, in addition to its desired functional advantage, it is of a particularly low manufacturing cost.

Note that if the requester actually wanted to modify and perfect the document support FR 2,824,946 , the support of the present application is also different from that of the document FR 2,760,880 by the fact that, in the deployed state, fastening flaps of the elastic means, just like the eyelets or notches for fixing the elastic means, are hidden, which gives the support of the present invention requires a much more attractive exterior appearance In addition, the useful surface of presentation is greatly increased.

Preferably, there are provided, hinged to each free edge of the border blank and folded inwards against this border blank, as many flaps as there are blank panels that can be folded over each other.

As a particular application of the support of the invention, one can think of using it as a gondola head presentation of the products on a commercial sales area or as dressing anti-theft gates on such a surface or any other store.

In a preferred embodiment of the support of the invention, it comprises two articulated blanks of different widths.

In this case, in the deployed state, the larger width of the blank is bulged under the action of elastic return means.

The support of the invention may comprise three blanks, with the width of each edge blank smaller than the sum of the widths of the other two blanks or the width of one of the two edge blanks greater than the sum of the widths of the other two blanks .

In this case, in the deployed state, the transverse edges of the blanks, on one side or the other, form a base of erection and triangular support.

The support of the invention may also comprise three blanks with two border blanks of the same width.

The elastic return means may advantageously comprise elastics attached to flaps, as it has blank panels that can be folded over each other.

One could also consider a single elastic for the two border blanks.

The display stand of the figures 1-3 is formed in a single rather light cardboard starting blank or card stock, which is a rigid and unfoldable material, and has two blank portions 2.3 separated by a fold line 7 forming a hinge edge. Each blank portion 2, 3 is divided into panels 4, 5, here four in number, adjacent to each other along thick fold lines 6, here three in number. All panels 4, 5 are respectively identical to each other. These are the front faces of the panels 4, 5 which, when the support is deployed in a column 1 ( figure 2 ), constitute the information presentation faces 11, 12 of the support column. The column of the figure 2 can be folded on itself by folding on each other panels 4, 5.

The starting flan ( figure 3 ), of rectangular shape, has two lateral free edges 13, 14 and two transverse edges 15, 16. From the side edges 13, 14 have been formed side flap portions 17, 18 beyond two fold lines 19 , 20 for the fixing of return elastics which will be discussed below.

The flaps 17, 18, in the areas of the ends of the fold lines 6, are notched to allow folding of the panels 4, 5 on each other. Each flap comprises another pair of central notches 21, 22, for the passage and the receiving the return elastics. The flaps 17, 18 are folded over the inner faces of their adjacent panels 4, 5 so that the fold lines 19, 20 become the free edges of the blank portions 2, 3.

The two unique blank parts 2, 3 of the support of figures 1-3 , articulated around the edge 7, are edge blanks. The widths of the two blanks 2, 3 are different. Flat and the two blanks folded one on the other ( figure 1 ), the two free edges 19, 20 of the two blanks are spaced apart from each other.

The flaps 17, 18 are paired with each other and facing each other and a return elastic 23 is slid into the four central notches 21, 22 of the flaps 17, 18 of each pair of associated flaps.

When the support is flat, the two blanks folded one on the other, the elastics 23 are constrained in extension. In other words, the flattening is done against the action of elastics 23.

Under the action of the elastics 23, the two free edges 19, 20 are biased toward each other and they come close to being substantially merged, the associated flaps being in pairs on each other, plated and held against each other between the two blanks 2, 3, which are here both border blanks. In this expanded state of the support, because of the difference between the widths of the two blanks, the widest 2 is curved ( figure 2 ). Then, the support is perfectly deployed and can be erected on its base consisting of one of the two transverse edges to rectilinear part (of the blank 3 the smallest) and curvilinear part (of the widest blank 2). The flaps 17, 18 are inside the volume thus created, invisible. The external appearance of the display is attractive and its useful surface of presentation, all things being equal, greater than that of the displays of the interior art.

Column 1 being folded on itself, to mount it, unfolds the panels 4, 5 folded over each other around the fold lines 6 and, under the action of the elastics 23, it takes the state of the figure 2 . To dismantle it, it is flattened against the action of the elastics 23, then the panels 4, 5 are folded over each other.

The display stand 31 of the Figures 4-6 differs from that of the preceding figures in that it comprises, still in the same single blank starting, three blank portions 32, 33, 34, including two border blanks 32, 34 and a central blank 33 delimited by two folding or hinge edges 35, 36 parallel to the two free edges 37, 38 of the two blank portions 32, 34. Along the free edges 37, 38 are hinged flanges 39, 40, associated in pairs, for the fixing of return elastics 41, as in the previous embodiment.

The width of each border blank 32, 34 is still different from the sum of the widths of the other two 33, 34 - 32, 33. Here, the width of the border blank 32, between the hinge edge 36 and the edge free 37, is greater than the sum of the widths of the other two blanks 33, 34, as can be seen on the figure 4 .

After having unfolded the panels of the blank portions that were folded over each other, around the fold lines 42, the support 31, under the action of the elastics 41, unfolds in order to be able to erect on a triangular base. erection and support 43 ( figure 6 ) whose sides are constituted by the contiguous transverse edges 41-46 of the three plane portions 32-34.

In the folded and flat position of the figure 4 the two free edges 37, 38 of the support are spaced from one another, the elastics 41 being under stress. Under the action of these elastics, the support begins to form, the free edges 37, 38 beginning to approach one another ( figure 5 ) before being confused with one another in the perfectly deployed and erected condition ( figure 6 ), in which state the flaps 39, 40 are always inside the created volume, removed from the view of consumers and thus releasing a large display surface.

The display stand 51 of the figure 7 is similar to that of Figures 4-6 . It differs only in the width of the two border blank portions 52, 54 which is the same. The two border blank portions 52, 54 surrounding a central blank portion 53 between the two hinge lines 55, 56, the three blank portions being formed from a single blank.

As for the display stand 61 of the figure 8 it differs from the previous ones in that, again from a single blank, it comprises six adjacent blank portions 62-67 by five fold and hinge edges 68-72. Here again, the width of each edge blank portion 62, 67 is different from the rest of the expanded width of the blank 61.

In the expanded state, the transverse edges 73-78 of the blank portions 62-67 form a six-sided polygonal base.

Claims (11)

1. Display stand support with at least one display face comprising a plurality of sheets (2, 3; 32-34; 52-54; 62-67), made from a substantially rigid material and articulated on each other in an articulation direction, with two border sheets (2, 3; 32, 34; 52, 54; 62, 67) each extending between an articulation rim (7; 35, 36; 55, 56; 68, 72) and a free edge (19, 20; 37, 38) substantially parallel to the articulation rim (7; 35, 36), the support being able to be put flat counter to the action of the elastic return means (23; 41), with the two free edges (19, 20; 37, 38) of the two border sheets (2, 3; 32, 34) separated from each other, and the sheets thus being able to be folded on themselves, the elastic return means (23; 41) being arranged so as, after the sheets are unfolded, to bring the two free edges (19, 20; 37, 38) close to each other, substantially to merge them and thus deploy the support, the width of one of the two border sheets (2, 3), between its articulation rim (7) and its free edge (19, 20) being different from the rest of the developed width of the support, the two border sheets each being extended by flaps (17, 18; 39, 40) for fixing the elastic return means, articulated at its free edge (19, 20; 37, 38) and folded towards the inside so that, in the deployed state of the support, the fixing flaps of the two border sheets are pressed against each other between the two border sheets.
2. Support according to claim 1, wherein there are provided, articulated at each free edge (19, 20; 37, 38) of a border sheet (2, 3; 32, 34; 52, 54; 62, 67) and folded inwards against this border sheet, as many flaps as there are sheet panels (4, 5) able to be folded against one another.
3. Support according to one of claims 1 and 2, wherein two articulated sheets (2, 3) with different widths are provided.
4. Support according to one of claims 1 to 3, wherein three sheets (32-34; 52-54) are provided.
5. Support according to claim 4, wherein the width of each border sheet (52, 54) is less than the sum of the widths of the other two sheets (53, 54; 52, 53).
6. Support according to claim 5, wherein the two border sheets (52, 54) have the same width.
7. Support according to claim 5, wherein the width of one (32) of the two border sheets (32, 34) is greater than the sum of the widths of the other two (33, 34).
8. Support according to claim 1, which, in the deployed state, is erected so as to rest on a polygonal base.
9. Support according to one of claims 1 to 8, wherein the elastic return means comprise (8) elastic members (23; 41) fixed to as many flaps (17, 18; 39, 40) as there are sheet panels (4, 5) able to folded against one another.
10. Support according to one of claims 1 to 8, wherein the elastic return means comprise a single elastic member.
11. Support according to one of claims 1 to 9, wherein the sheets are obtained after folding a single sheet along one or two articulation rims (7; 35, 36; 55, 56; 68-72).
