Definitions

  • the invention relates generally to a contacting device, in particular for smart cards, and more particularly, the invention relates to a SIM block, i. a contacting device for a simcard.
  • the invention aims to provide a super flat Simblock, which can be used universally preferably in a telephone, in particular in a mobile phone, where the greatest possible space savings must be achieved because of the handiness of the mobile phone.
  • the super-flat Simblock should preferably be designed so that a Simcard, not only safely in one direction in the region of the contacting side, i. where the contact points of the contact elements are located, can be introduced, but preferably from a relatively large range of insertion particular Einschiebraumen.
  • sim cards There are already numerous contactors for sim cards, which are often also in the form of a simblock, i. a contact carrier made of plastic in the contact elements (short: contacts) are fixed, which work together with the contact zones of a sim card.
  • a Simblock usually has no cover and the pressing of the Simcard done by in the device (for example, a mobile phone) to be provided investment or support surfaces.
  • US-B1-6,955,572 discloses a contactor, in particular a contact, which is arranged in an insulating housing of an electrical connector and is suitable for electrical connection to an integrated circuit, for. B. produce a processor.
  • the document shows DE 100 64 137 A1 a smart card connector having a contact carrier in which contact elements are mounted, which are suitable for making contact with the contact zones of a smart card.
  • the invention provides a Simblock, in which prevents the arrangement of the contact elements that during grinding operation in the longitudinal or transverse direction with respect to the Simblocks upsetting or damaging the contacts or contact elements occurs through the card and thereby a variable use of the contact block in transverse or longitudinal direction, based on the Receiveeinstory
  • the contact tips of a contact element of a Simblock are then spoon-shaped, if it is necessary to be able to insert a Simcard slidably longitudinally and transversely.
  • the dome edges must be within the contact body, otherwise the card may hit an edge when inserted.
  • the contact tip would no longer be pressed down into the contact body, but deformed, so that the Simblock would be destroyed.
  • These geometric conditions mean that the contact body height or the contact body thickness be greater than or equal to the dome height including hitch tolerances, must allow a complete immersion of the dome in the contact body. If you want to reduce the height to a minimum while creating a contact block that allows a variable mounting position in the longitudinal and transverse directions, so suitable contacts must be created in a suitable manner and housed in the contact block in a suitable manner.
  • the contact elements are arranged in the direction of the bisecting line between two mutually perpendicular insertion directions, so that it is possible to insert the card without deformation of the contacts.
  • the card always touches the contact arm when rubbed against the contacts and pushes them down, including the contact tip. In this way, it is ensured that the card does not first touch the tip end and deforms the contact on further insertion.
  • the tip end does not have to be inside the contact body, which means that the dome height is independent of the contact body height.
  • the contacts are mounted without orthogonal to the contact plane arranged mounting elements with the contact body, since the height of these mounting elements would also determine the minimum height of the contact body.
  • a contacting device 10 is shown which is suitable for contacting contact zones provided on smart cards (clip cards), in particular SIM cards.
  • the contacting device 10 will be explained with reference to the illustrated SIM card contacting device 10.
  • the card contacting device 10 is a simblock 10, which, according to the invention, is configured in such a way that a super flat simblock 10 is produced.
  • Simblock 10 After the preferred embodiment is a super flat Simblock 10, reference is made below to the contacting device 10, as Simblock 10.
  • the Simblock 10 has a contact carrier 11, which may also be referred to as a contact body.
  • the contact carrier 11 is made of plastic and is preferably - as shown - formed as a cuboidal plate which has a thickness of 0.5 mm and wherein the length and width dimensions are not significantly larger than the standard length and width dimensions of the contact field of a SIM card , That the length of the contact carrier is about 10 mm and the width is about 8 mm.
  • the simblock 10 has, in addition to the contact carrier 11, a contact arrangement 12, which consists of individual contact elements 15.
