Abstract
Description
Abstandsgewirk sowie Verfahren zu dessen HerstellungSpacer knit and method for its production
The invention relates to a spacer fabric with an upper and lower fabric, between which intersecting support threads are arranged, which hold the upper and lower textiles spaced apart from each other and a method for its production.
Spacer knitted fabrics are produced from an upper textile and a lower textile, which are kept apart by supporting threads, in particular monofilaments. The support threads or monofilaments are plastic materials and usually consist of one strand. Depending on the diameter of the support threads, their binding to the textiles, the density in the finished Abstandsgewirk and the crossing angle of the support threads to each other, the compression hardness of the spacer knitted fabric is determined. Spacer knits are used, for example, as a seat pad for wheelchairs or as a sleeping pad for pressure ulcer patients. Conventional spacer fabrics have the disadvantage that they can absorb only very limited shear forces and that they have limited ability to keep the textiles spaced from each other.
The object of the present invention is to provide a spacer knit and a method for its production, with which a better shear and compressive strength of the spacer knitted fabric can be achieved.
According to the invention this object is achieved by a spacer fabric having the features of claim 1 and a method having the features of claim 9. Advantageous embodiments and development of the invention are described in the subclaims.
The spacer fabric according to the invention provides an upper and lower fabric, between which intersecting support threads are arranged, which keep the upper and lower fabrics spaced apart and held together. At least parts of the supporting threads are connected to one another at their points of intersection, which results in an increased shear strength of the entire spacer fabric and an increased resistance to bending. be provided against the compression of the textiles towards each other. As a result, the finished spacer fabric can not be completely compressed or only compressed against an increased compressive force, since the intersecting support or spacer threads are connected to each other at certain points, comparable to welded wires in a chain link fence. Depending on the density and the crossing angle of the supporting threads as well as the number and arrangement of the connections in the crossing points, the hardness of the spacer knitted fabric can be adjusted.
A further development of the invention provides that the support threads are formed as monofilaments, twisted support threads or core-shell spuns. In particular, the support threads can be coated or sheathed, such as monofilaments, core-shell-puffs or twisted support threads, in order to facilitate or facilitate the connection of a plurality of support threads to one another at their points of intersection. The coating or sheath may be made of a plastic or an adhesive having a lower activation temperature than the core of the support thread. As a result, a connection of a plurality of support threads can be realized with each other without loss of strength and substantially without changing the geometric conditions by heating the finished knitted spacer fabric. This happens in the connection of two intersecting, coated with a plastic layer supporting threads cohesively by the outer coating is melted and melted and the intersecting, adjacent or adjacent support threads are materially connected to each other. In the case of coating with an adhesive which is activated at a certain temperature, it is not necessary for a plurality of coated supporting threads to lie against each other, but it is sufficient for an adhesive-coated supporting thread to rest on another, optionally without adhesive, supporting thread and the spacer knit Activation temperature is heated. Then, the two intersecting support threads adhere to each other due to the adhesive effect of the adhesive, without it having to come to a material connection of two coatings. Alternatively, it is provided that the wrapping consists of a low-melting material, which is melted on the setting of the temperature. Also, a chemical solution of the coating, sheathing or Wrapping followed by curing to achieve a connection of the supporting threads.
In order to adjust the hardness of the spacer fabric, ie the resistance that the spacer fabric opposes to a compressive or shear force, 20% to 80% of the threads are coated or provided with an adhesive. Depending on the desired application, it is thus possible to produce a desired number of connection points between the support threads, so that in addition to the crossing angle and the density of the support threads depending on the number of Verbindungsstel- len, the hardness and shear strength of the spacer knitted fabric is set. A support thread can also be connected at several points with other support threads.
Furthermore, the support threads themselves can have different diameters, whether by coating with a plastic or an adhesive, or that the desired compressive strength and shear stability should be set by a suitable choice of the support thread dimensioning.
The inventive method for producing a spacer fabric provides that at least parts of the intersecting support threads, which connect an upper textile and a sub-textile spaced apart from each other, are joined together at their intersection points. It is envisaged that the support threads are glued or welded together.
If the support threads have a core provided with a coating or sheathing, the coating, sheathing or wrapping is such that the melting point is lower than that of the core and that the spacer fabric is at a temperature below the melting point of the core Kerns and above the melting point of the coating, sheathing or wrapping is heated. As a result, either the adhesive is activated or the plastic coatings are melted, so that it comes to a non-positive or cohesive connection between two intersecting support threads. Instead of a thermal bond can also be a chemical bond by dissolution and curing of the coating, sheathing or wrapping done. In principle, uncoated support threads can also be connected to one another by a thermal or chemical bond by melting or dissolving only part of the support thread and then curing them.
After connecting the support threads by heating to a predetermined temperature, it is provided that the spacer fabric is kept at a temperature below the melting or activation temperature in order to reduce adjusting deformations and stresses within the spacer fabric.
Es zeigen:Hereinafter, an embodiment of the invention will be explained in more detail with reference to the accompanying figures. Show it:
Figur 1 - ein herkömmliches Abstandsgewirk; sowieFigure 1 - a conventional spacer fabric; such as
Figur 2 - ein erfindungsgemäßes Abstandsgewirk.Figure 2 - an inventive spacer fabric.
Between the textiles 2, 3 support threads 4 are arranged, which intersect and are attached to the textiles 2, 3 in a certain bond and density. The support threads 4 are not connected to each other, so that the compression hardness, ie the resistance to a load perpendicular to the textile plane, by the diameter of the support threads 4, the binding of the support threads 4 to the textiles 2, 3, the density of the support threads 4 in the finished product and the crossing angle of the supporting threads 4 can be determined.
So that a spacer fabric 1 can not be compressed completely or only with a considerably higher outlay, according to FIG. 2 in a spacer fabric 1 according to the invention, the intersecting support threads 4 are connected to one another at their points of intersection 5, either via an adhesive or a material fit due to a melted , connecting coating of the preferred monofilaments used. Depending on the density of the support threads 4 and the crossing angle connection levels 6 are created at certain heights of the finished spacer knitted fabric, which cause an increased stability of the spacer fabric 1. The connection levels 6, in the illustrated embodiment, these are two levels, can be compressed under load or partially fail, so that connection points 5 dissolve and the compression would take place up to the second level 6. For longer support threads 4 or a corresponding density and selection of the crossing angle even more connection levels 6 can be created. By a predetermined arrangement density of the support threads 4 and their corresponding orientation at an angle to the surface of the textiles 2, 3, a fixed number of connection points 5 can be defined. It can thereby be determined at which weight load the spacer fabric 1 can be completely compressed. For various ne weight classes of a patient or for different loads thus a correspondingly adapted material can be made.
So that not all intersections of the support threads 4 are connected to each other and become connection points 5, a limited and predetermined number of support threads 4 and monofilaments is provided with a coating and an adhesive. Thus, e.g. evenly distributed provides increased resistance to crushing or shearing motion in the spacer fabric. It is also possible to provide an increased number of crosslinks only at certain points of a finished spacer knitted fabric 1, which can be achieved by arranging coated and uncoated support threads in certain regions of the knitted fabric. Thus, it is possible to provide load-resistant resistors in a spacer fabric in order, for example, to achieve a uniform support of the entire body in decubitus patients.
Due to the increased resistance against pressure loading and increased shear stability, it is possible to offer thinner products than before for the same loads or to enable new applications, for example as upholstery material in prosthetics and orthotics or as shoe inserts.
In order to achieve a minimum of flexibility and elasticity, not all intersections of the support threads 4 are interconnected.
After bonding by heating, it is provided to keep the finished spacer fabric 1 at an elevated temperature below the activation or melting temperature of the coating, in order to be able to reduce stresses present within the spacer fabric 1.
