Description

Technisches GebietTechnical area

The invention relates to a scouring body comprising a fabric provided with a scouring composition, the scouring composition comprising a binder and scouring particles, the fabric comprising a cleaning surface having a relief pattern.

Stand der TechnikState of the art

From the DE 298 02 421 U1 a scouring body is known which has as a carrier material a textile fabric which is provided with a scouring composition. The textile fabric consists of a nonwoven fabric which has been mechanically consolidated by needling or by water jet. On the sheet is applied a scouring composition comprising a chemical binder and abrasive particles. The previously known scouring body is suitable for absorbing or absorbing aqueous substances and for loosening firmly adhering soiling due to the abrasive effect of the scouring composition.

In a thin, flexible trained scouring body is disadvantageous that in these by limited grip options, the power transmission is limited. Furthermore, the power transmission takes place predominantly only at the point at which pressure is exerted on the scrubbing body.

Darstellung der ErfindungPresentation of the invention

The invention has for its object to provide a scouring body with a more effective power transmission.

This object is achieved with the features of claim 1. In advantageous embodiments, the dependent claims relate.

To solve the problem, the fabric is arranged on a sponge body. The textile fabric is formed as a nonwoven fabric made of synthetic fibers and preferably solidified by means of water jet. The thickness of the sheet is between 0.8 and 3 mm and the basis weight is between 50 and 200 g / mm 2. Such fabrics have a low basis weight and a small thickness with high tensile strength. The sponge body forms a support body which offers a variety of grip options. As a result, in various ways, effective force can be exerted on the fabric provided with the scouring composition so that a good cleaning performance against firmly adhering contaminants results. The relief pattern additionally improves the cleaning action of the scrubbing body. In this case, the relief pattern may be formed by a nub structure, wherein the nubs are arranged hexagonally. This will prevent the dirt from adding to the abrasive surface as the dirt collects between the dimples in the recesses, thereby not affecting the scrubbing process.

The sponge body may be formed of an open-cell plastic foam or a natural foam. The foam can be formed in particular of polyurethane or viscose. Foams made of these materials are inexpensive to produce and have good mechanical properties, so that they are easy to grasp and can transmit forces. Viscose has a high water absorption capacity.

On the sponge body, another textile fabric may be arranged. The scrubbing body is preferably cuboid and has two major surfaces. Then, on a first major surface, the sheet with the abrasive composition is disposed. On the second main surface opposite the first main surfaces, the further textile fabric is arranged. This sheet preferably also consists of a nonwoven fabric with synthetic fibers, wherein the nonwoven fabric is formed so that the further fabric has a high water absorption. The second main surface then serves for the aftertreatment of surfaces which have already been cleaned with the first main surface and for the absorption of liquids.

The further fabric may comprise microfibers. Microfibers have a fiber diameter smaller than 1 μm. The microfibers used have a high absorption capacity for liquids such as water and fats.

The scouring composition may comprise glass granules. Glass granules have a high hardness and are particularly suitable for cleaning glass or ceramic surfaces, such as glass ceramic cooktops or slices of stoves.

The binder may be latex, phenolic resin and / or acrylate based. A phenolic resin-based binder has high hardness, high abrasion resistance. In another embodiment, the binder may be acrylate-based. Acrylate-based binders have a pleasant feel. Latex-based binders have a high elasticity. Blends of latex and phenolic resin binder have by the phenolic resin a high flexural rigidity, wherein the bending stiffness is reduced by the latex content so far that the abrasive body can be wrung well. In a further embodiment, the binder may consist of a mixture of acrylate and phenolic resin. The properties of both binder materials then influence the feel and hardness of the material. In this case, the binder may be formed on the sheet such that the sheet is substantially impermeable to water. As a result, when cleaning, a film of cleaning liquid remains between the fabric having the abrasive composition and the surface to be cleaned. Dirt is dissolved in the cleaning fluid and it results in a gentle and effective cleaning of the surface to be cleaned. The binder may also be formed so that the sheet is rigid. This results in a particularly good power transmission and an improved cleaning effect against firmly adhering dirt. Other possible binders are melamine resin, nitrile rubber, polyurethane or compounds of all the binders mentioned.

The sponge body may be formed quadrangular, wherein the edges have a curved contour. As a result, hard to reach areas can be effectively cleaned. It results in a variety of different grip options.

The mutually opposite edges can be congruent with each other. The scouring body is usually made of a flat Precursor produced by punching. In this shaping results in a lossless and therefore cost-effective production of abrasive bodies with curved edge design.

The scrubbing body may have a thickness of 2 to 5 cm. In particular, with a thickness of the scrubbing body of 4 cm, many grip options and a good power transmission.

The above-described scouring body is particularly suitable for use for cleaning glass and / or ceramic surfaces due to its advantageous embodiment.
