  • Such embodiment if preferred, can be a much lighter, simpler, and less expensive variant which can be used also on pedal powered pleasure craft.

  • Such embodiment differs from previously described embodiments by the fact that the casings 4 are formed on a strut 18 and back-to-back arranged and are hinged directly to the connecting rods 7.
  • Said strut is rotatable in order to assure the steering operation of the vessel on which it is mounted.
  • the embodiment in fig. 8 offers the further advantage of keeping vortices, generated during the propulsion motion of the hydrofoil blades 1, away from the surface of said vessel. It can be adapted to any displacement or planing hull, or to an outboard motor.
  • a given vessel can also be equipped by one or more such struts 18 each of which incorporating one or more oscillating hydrofoil systems according to the present invention.
  • the height of the vessel's hull from the water can be controlled and adjusted, as desired, by changing the angle of attack of the hydrofoil blades 1, depending on the weight of the same vessel and the desired speed.
  • a separate mechanisms are provided for propulsion motion and steering operation.
  • the strut 18 is provided with a pair of housings 21 for the casings 4 each, in turn, provided with a hole 4' and a hinge 4".
  • the hole 4' houses the hydrofoil blade axle 1' which is also connected to the flap mechanism 3, whilst the hinge 4" is connected to a first end of a rod 7, the other end of which is hinged with an end of a yoke 6.
  • Said yoke 6 is also hinged to a rod 13 which has a reciprocating motion thus delivering the necessary oscillation to the hydrofoil blades 1.
  • Figs. 8c to 8e illustrate different displacements reachable by the hydrofoil blades 1 driven by the just described propulsion mechanism and pitch controller.
  • an actuator 8 which controls a crown wheel, or any similar mechanism, on the strut upper perimeter, provided with a gearing profile.
  • the hydrofoil blades 1 can be rigid or flexible, or any combination of both, as preferred, for optimum efficiency at any moment and in any condition as need be.
  • the flap mechanism 3, can be preset, or remotely actively controllable or variable, as preferred. Said flap mechanism 3 can also be lockable or not lockable as preferred.

Claims (6)

  1. Antriebs- und Steuersystem für ein Wasserfahrzeug, mit den folgenden Merkmalen:
    (i) zumindest ein Paar von hydrodynamischen Flügeln (1), mit zumindest einem drehbar an jeder von mindenstens zwei Kästen (4) verbundenen hydrodynamischen Flügel (1).
    (ii) mindestens ein gelenkig an jeden hydrodynamischen Flügel (1) aufklappbarer Ablenkmechanismus (3), der ein voreingestellter oder ferngesteurter Dämpfungsmechanismus sein kann;
    (iii) mindestens zwei Kästen (4),die je um mindenstens einen hydrodinamischen Flügel (1), und an den Ablenkmechanismus (3), und miteinander drehbar verbunden sind;
    (iv) mindestens zwei Arme (5), die mit den besagten Kästen (4), über mindestens zwei Schnecken(12) scharniert und eingegriffen, oder miteinander eingegriffen sind wie in fig.2 und 2a;
    (v) mindestens zwei mit den besagten Armen (5) angelenkte Verbindungsstangen (7);
    (vi) wenigstens eine mit den besagten Verbindungsstangen (7) angelenkte Übertragungsstange (13),
    (vii) mindenstens eine mit den genannten wenigstens zwei Kästen (4) über mindestens zwei Teleskopwellen(9) verbundene Transmissionseinheit (8)und jede an die Kästen (4) mittels mindestens zwei Schnecken (12) angelenkt ist,
    (viii) mindestens zwei Schnecken (12)auf den genannten zwei Armen (5), die an die genannten Kästen (4) eingreifen,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die genannten mindestens zwei Kästen (4) am Wasserfahrzeug um einen Winkel zwischen 0 und 360 Grad um die eigene Achse syncron in der gleichen Richtung gedreht werden können, um das genannte Wasserfahrzeug mittels der Drehung der Welle(11) zu lenken, die durch die genannte Transmissioneinheit(8) an jeder Teleskopwelle (9) übertragen wird, welche wiederum, jede Schnecke (12) dreht, der seinerseits den entsprechenden Kasten(4) synchron in der gliechen Richtung dreht, und teilweise gedreht,indem Leistung, durch die Hin- und Herbewegung der Übertragungsstangen (13) durch die Verbindungsstangen (7) an die Arme (5) durch die Schnecken (12), auf die Kästen (4), und dann an die hydrodynamischen Flügel (1) übertragen wird, um die gesagten Kästen (4) antisymmetrisch zu drehen, und die genannten hydrodynamischen Flügel (1) gleichzeitig antisymmetrisch um einen ausgewahlten Winkel relativ zur Richtung ihrer Neutralstellung zu schwingen, um das Wasserfahrzeug zu bewegen.
  2. Antriebs- und Steuersystem für ein Wasserfahrzeug nach Anspruch 1, wobei die genannten Kästen(4) auf einer drehbaren Strebe des Wasserfahrzeugs angeordnet sind, und mittels Gleitstäben (7) verbunden werden, die an beiden Enden mit einer, schiebbar und drehbar auf der Anordnungsebene der genannten Kästen(4) geführten Gabel(6) angelenkt sind.
  3. Antriebs- und Steuersystem für ein Wasserfahrzeug nach Anspruch 2, wobei die genannte Gabel (6) so ferngesteuert für die Verstellung des Angriffswinkels der hydrodynamischen Flügel (1), und motorisiert werden kann, um das Wasserfahrzeug selbst zu bewegen.
  4. Antrieb- und Steuersystem für ein Wasserfahrzeug nach Anspruch 1, mit der Ausnahme der Kästen, umfassend mindestens ein Paar hydrodynamische Flügel (1), die jeweils drehbar direkt mit einem versunkenen oder versenkbaren Teil des besagten Wasserfahrzeugs befestigt und an Verbindungsstangen angelenkt werden, die, wiederum, an wenigstens eine gleitende Übertragungsstange (13) angelenkt sind, welche sich in der Längsrichtung hin- und herbewegen kann, um die hydrodynamischen Flügel (1) antisymmetrisch für einen bestimmten Winkel bezüglich der Richtung ihrer Neutralstellung zu schwingen, um das Wasserfahrzeug zu bewegen, und die auch auf die Anordnungsebene der genannten hydrodynamischen Flügel seitlich verschiebbar ist, wenn diese durch einen Lenkmechanismus (11) angetrieben werden, um die Wendung zu erhalten.
  5. Antriebs- und Steuersystem für ein Wasserfahrzeug nach Anspruch 1, umfassend mindestens ein Paar hydrodynamische Flügel (1) wobei, sowohl der Getriebemechanismus als auch der Lenkmechanismus in ein Gehäuse (15) auf jedem Kasten (4)zusammengestellt werden, jedes von wenigstens eine Hauptsteuereinheit (16) gesteuert, so dass die genannten Kästen (4) antisymmetrisch drehen, und die genannten hydrodynamischen Flügel gleichzeitig antisymmetrisch um einen bestimmten Winkel bezüglich der Richtung ihrer Neutralstellung zu schwingen, um das Wasserfahrzeug zu bewegen, und die genannten mindestens zwei Kästen (4) können um einen Winkel zwischen 0 und 360 Grad um ihre eigene Achse synchron in die gleiche Richtung gedreht werden, um das Wasserfahrzeug zu lenken.
  6. Antriebs- und Steuersystem für ein Wasserfahrzeug nach Anspruch 1, wobei die Verbindungsstangen(7) und die Arme (5) in Parallelbewegung auf einem einzigen Kasten (4) mit einem gesonderten Lenkmechanismus eingestellt sind.
