Claims (7)
- A chair comprising a tiltable seat (1) and a back rest (2) carried by a back rest support (5), wherein a bearing block (10) is provided, in which an eccentric disk (9) is rotatably mounted, wherein the eccentric disk (9) has a rod (8) passing eccentrically through it, which rod is connected to said eccentric disk in a non-twistable manner and which is connected at one end to a handle (7) with which it can be turned and wherein an arm (6) is provided in which the rod (8) is mounted rotatably, characterised by the following features:- the bearing block (10) is provided on the back rest support (5) and the arm (6) is provided on the underside of the seat (1);- a detent sleeve (14) is connected to the said end of the rod (8) in a non-twistable manner but is displaceable along the rod (8) between a first and a second position;- in the first position said detent sleeve (14) engages with detent means (21) formed thereon with mating detent means (22) on the seat (1),- in the second position, the detent means (21) on the detent sleeve (14) are disengaged from the mating detent means (22) on the seat (1) and spring-loaded against the first position; and- the handle (7) is joined to the detent sleeve (14) in a non-twistable manner.
- The chair according to claim 1, characterised in that the detent sleeve (14) is provided with notches or detent teeth (21) as detent means at the end surface.
- The chair according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the mating detent means comprise a locking cog (22) projecting downwards from the underside of the seat (1).
- The chair according to any one of claims 1-3, characterised in that a compression spring (18) is provided for spring-loading of the detent sleeve, which is supported at one end towards the first position against the detent sleeve (14) and at the other end at least indirectly against the rod.
- The chair according to claim 4, characterised in that a guide sleeve (15) is secured non-twistably and non-displaceably on the rod (8) and that the compression spring (18) is supported on said guide sleeve.
- The chair according to claim 5, characterised in that said detent sleeve (14) overlaps the compression spring (18), the guide sleeve (15) and the free end of the rod.
- The chair according to claim 6, characterised in that said handle (7) is joined to the detent sleeve (15) on the other side of the free end of the rod.
