Claims (4)

  1. Office chair,
    having a seating area support, which is mounted in a supporting frame (4) so as to be inclinedly adjustable about a horizontally and transversely extending axis,
    the inclined adjustment being effected by means of an eccentric rotary shaft which is mounted in a rotary bearing of the supporting frame by at least one concentric shaft part (13) and has at least one eccentric shaft part (14), which travels in an eccentric bearing of the seating area support in such a manner that an adjustment to the angle of rotation of the rotary shaft, which is accomplished by the seat user, changes the inclination of the seating area support relative to the supporting frame,
       characterised in that
    the rotary shaft has an operational part (10), which is rotatable relative to the functional part (11) of the rotary shaft,
    in that a releasable locking interengagement means (17, 18) is provided between the functional part of the rotary shaft and the supporting frame (4), which means blocks the adjustment to the angle of rotation of the functional part of the rotary shaft in the non-released state,
    and in that a first angle-of-rotation range of the adjustment to the angle of rotation, which adjustment is accomplished by the seat user at the operational part of the rotary shaft, is converted into a release movement of the locking interengagement means by means of a conversion transmission unit (19, 20),
    and in that a subsequent second angle-of-rotation range of the adjustment to the angle of rotation, which adjustment is accomplished by the seat user at the operational part of the rotary shaft, causes an analogous adjustment to the angle of rotation of the functional part of the rotary shaft via a retaining stop member (21) between the operational part and the functional part of the rotary shaft.
  2. Office chair according to claim 1, characterised in that
    the locking interengagement means is in the form of a spur wheel toothing (17), which rests on the functional part (11) of the rotary shaft in a non-rotatable manner and, in the non-released state, is in engagement with a spur wheel toothing (18), which is secured on the supporting frame (4) in a stationary manner,
    and in that the spur wheel toothing (17), which rests on the functional part of the rotary shaft, is releasable by axial displacement on the rotary shaft in opposition to the pressure of a tumbler spring (15).
  3. Office chair according to claim 1, characterised in that
    the conversion transmission unit is in the form of one or more inclined edges (19, 20), which are disposed on the end-face abutment faces, which abut against each other, of the operational part (10) and of the functional part (11) of the rotary shaft.
  4. Office chair according to claim 3, characterised in that
    the inclined edges (19, 20) are orientated in both directions of rotation of the rotary shaft.
