  • a mascara composition comprising fibers.
  • the latter can, when they are sufficiently rigid and visible and they are at the end of eyelashes, provide an elongation of the eyelash.
  • the elongation gain obtained by such a composition remains moderate because it is relatively difficult to orient the fibers at the end of the eyelashes.
  • Another solution may consist, as disclosed in WO 2006/037904 A1 to use a mascara composition having a non-zero magnetic susceptibility and to create in the vicinity of the eyelash a magnetic field to act on the composition present on the eyelash to lengthen it by a magnetic attraction effect.

Description

The present invention relates to the makeup of eyelashes.

The invention aims more particularly but not exclusively to provide a physical elongation eyelashes.

US 2,630,516 discloses an eyelash curling iron provided externally with a sheath of a fibrous material, preferably a chamois leather, for retaining an excess of mascara. In this patent, heat is used to freeze mascara.

EP 1 468 627 A1 discloses a heating applicator for applying a viscous composition having a particular thermal profile. The composition is deposited on the applicator by immersing it in a bottle containing the composition, provided with a wringing member.

He is known by the publications WO 2006/043544 , WO 2006/057438 , WO 2006/057439 and WO 2006/057071 applying a mascara composition to the eyelashes by means of a heating application device.

The devices disclosed in these publications are relatively complex and relate more to the bending of the eyelashes than their elongation.

It is known to obtain an effect of elongation of the eyelashes, to use a mascara composition comprising fibers. The latter can, when they are sufficiently rigid and visible and they are at the end of eyelashes, provide an elongation of the eyelash. The elongation gain obtained by such a composition remains moderate because it is relatively difficult to orient the fibers at the end of the eyelashes.

Another solution may consist, as disclosed in WO 2006/037904 A1 to use a mascara composition having a non-zero magnetic susceptibility and to create in the vicinity of the eyelash a magnetic field to act on the composition present on the eyelash to lengthen it by a magnetic attraction effect.

Another possibility is to use a composition of mascara having a character running at room temperature, as disclosed in the application EP 1 430 868 A1 . Such a composition may, however, prove to be relatively difficult to apply because the control of the length of the yarns formed at the end of the eyelashes proves to be delicate.

The Applicant has developed mascara compositions having a character spinning only hot.

The invention aims to facilitate the application of such compositions and more generally the application of any composition having a property to the application which is modified by application of heat.

La composition peut ĆŖtre solide Ć  tempĆ©rature ambiante et ramollir, voire se fluidifier, lorsque chauffĆ©e.The invention thus relates, according to one of its aspects, to an assembly comprising:
  • an application device comprising a heating support,
  • an applicator tip having a shape adapted to its mounting by fitting on the heating support,
  • a composition to be applied to the eyelashes, exhibiting at least one property that varies as a function of temperature, said composition being contained in the applicator tip, the applicator tip being made at least partially, or entirely, with the composition.
The composition may be solid at room temperature and soften or even fluidify when heated.

The composition is for example intended to lengthen the eyelashes but can still be used to make up otherwise, including bending, according to its formulation.

The above property is for example the spinning character, the composition having in this case a spinning character when heated above a certain temperature, for example 40 Ā° C.

The composition may have a viscosity that decreases with temperature.

The invention can facilitate the handling of the composition since it is sufficient in one case to arrange the applicator tip on the heating support before applying to the eyelashes, and when the applicator tip has ceased to be usable. , it can be easily replaced by a new applicator tip.

The use of an applicator tip having a shape adapted to the fitting greatly simplifies the placement of the composition on the heating support compared for example to the devices disclosed in the publications WO 2006/057438 and WO 2006/057439 .

The fitting can be carried out with insertion of the heating support into a cavity of the applicator tip.

Alternatively, the fitting can be carried out with insertion of the applicator tip into a cavity of the heating support.

The fitting can be carried out axially, along the longitudinal axis of the heating support. Alternatively, the fitting can be performed laterally in a direction transverse to the longitudinal axis of the heating support. The fitting can still be performed more complex, for example with a rotation or with a snap. The term "fitting" must therefore be understood in a broad sense.

A hollow form of applicator tip may be preferred in certain exemplary embodiments of the invention, because it allows it to cover easily, if desired, the heating support over its entire circumference, which facilitates the use of the application device in multiple orientations relative to the eyelashes.

The applicator tip may also be in the form of a nail, the body of which serves for fixing it on the heating support and the head for application to the eyelashes.

The applicator tip may still not cover the heating support over its entire circumference, which is the case for example when it has a tile or dome shape.

The heating support may have a heating surface extending 360 Ā° about the longitudinal axis of the heating support. Alternatively, the heating support may have a heating surface that extends only over a limited angular sector around the longitudinal axis of the heating support.

When the applicator tip has a tile shape, the heating surface can extend angularly about 180 Ā°. The heating support may have an enlargement on either side of the heating surface, in order to delay and / or oppose the flow of the composition once the tip has been heated.

In particular, when the applicator tip does not extend all around the heating support, for example has a tile shape, the heating support may comprise opposite the hot surface of the teeth, sometimes also called pins, for example from molding with the heating support.

The applicator tip may be formed exclusively by the composition to be applied, especially when it is solid at room temperature (25 Ā° C.). In this case, the composition may be molded directly with the shape of the applicator tip for subsequent use by the consumer on the application device.

In an alternative embodiment of the invention, the applicator tip is composite, and the composition is for example in the form of a coating exterior to the surface of a substrate shaped to mount on the heating support. Such a composite structure may be desirable for example for compositions not having the rheology suitable for molding an applicator tip or for improving the retention of the composition on the hot applicator tip.

Depending on the shape given to the applicator tip, different makeup effects can be obtained.

In exemplary embodiments of the invention, the heating support has a finger shape. The applicator tip may then for example have a shape of a glove finger, being for example configured to cover the heating support over at least a portion of its length from its distal end.

A form of applicator tip glove finger can allow to use the distal end of the applicator tip to apply the composition on the eyelashes, which may allow easier localized treatment, for example cil per eyelash.

The applicator tip may, in at least one cross section, be continuous over its entire circumference. In a variant, the applicator tip has, in at least one cross-section, an aperture, this aperture being, for example, a slot extending longitudinally on the applicator tip over at least a portion of its length.

The applicator tip may have no aperture on its side surface.

The heating support may comprise an envelope having a housing in which is arranged at least one heating resistor, this housing opening for example at one end of the envelope so as to allow the insertion of the heating resistor into the envelope after manufacture of the envelope. This housing may be central, so as to allow, if desired, obtaining a homogeneous temperature around the longitudinal axis of the heating support.

Alternatively, the heating support comprises an envelope which is overmolded on the heating resistor.

The envelope may be made of a good heat-conducting material, for example a metal or a thermoplastic or cross-linkable material loaded with metal particles or having a good thermal conductivity.

The outer surface of the heating support can be defined at least partially or completely by a metal, a glass, a ceramic or an elastomer.

The application device may comprise at least one switch to allow the user to trigger the heating of the heating support. This switch is for example a contactor, for example a push-button, triggering the heating of the heating support when depressed by the user, heating the heating support stopping for example as soon as the contactor is released by the user. This can allow the user to create relatively short heating pulses and well controlled over time, which can facilitate the operation of application of the composition on the eyelashes.

In an alternative embodiment of the invention, the application device comprises a switch that can take a position in which, even when released by the user, the heating support remains energized, if necessary for a predefined period of time. way to save the power source.

The application device may comprise a temperature regulating member of the heating support.

Le dispositif d'application peut Ʃgalement comporter un indicateur lumineux renseignant l'utilisateur par exemple sur l'Ʃtat alimentƩ ou non du support chauffant et/ou sur la tempƩrature de celui-ci.The application device may also include a light indicator informing the user for example on the supplied or unpowered state of the heating support and / or on the temperature thereof.

The indicator light is, for example, a light that comes on when the heating support is electrically powered and changes color, flashes or stops flashing when the appropriate temperature for the application is reached.

The application device may also include a thermochromic indicator, for example changing color when a temperature suitable for use is reached.

The application device may comprise a housing for receiving at least one spare applicator tip, before mounting on the heating support.

The application device may comprise a housing housing an electrical source, for example at least one battery or accumulator. The application device can still be powered by the mains, for example by means of a step-down transformer. The use of a 9V battery to power the heating media can increase the current in the resistor and allow a faster rise in temperature, which can facilitate makeup.

The electrical source and the heating support are, for example, chosen so that the heating support can reach a surface temperature of, for example, less than or equal to 95 Ā° C., for example 45 and 95 Ā° C., for example between 45 Ā° C. and 90 Ā° C, better still at least 60 Ā° C in less than 120 s, better 30 s, starting from an initial temperature of 25 Ā° C in a closed environment at 25 Ā° C.

The heating support may have a shape facilitating its cleaning and / or removal of the applicator tip once it is used, including a generally conical shape, converging towards the distal end of the heating support. Such a shape may also be preferred when the heating support is loaded by being immersed in the composition. The heating support may be made of a material having a state and / or a surface tension such that the composition is non-adherent at 25 Ā° C to the heating support. The surface of the heating support may be smooth and nonporous or have teeth, ridges and / or grooves.

The heating support may be made of PTFE (TeflonĀ®) or have a coating of PTFE or similar material.

In an exemplary implementation of the invention, the heating support is fixed relative to a gripping portion of the application device.

In another example of implementation of the invention, the heating support is movable relative to a gripping portion of the application device.

The heating support is for example mobile in translation. This can reduce the size of the application device in the absence of use.

The application device may also be arranged such that the displacement of the heating support relative to the gripping portion causes ejection of the applicator tip of the heating support. To facilitate this ejection, the applicator tip may for example comprise at its base an extra thickness, for example in the form of a flange, coming to bear against a wall of the application device when the heating support is moved.

The heating support may also be mobile in rotation, for example around an axis of rotation perpendicular to its longitudinal axis, on itself or around any axis not coincident with its longitudinal axis.

The application device may also comprise, in an alternative embodiment of the invention, an ejection member movable relative to the heating support. This ejection member is for example in the form of a pusher which is moved by the user to drive the applicator tip out of the heating support.

The heating support may have any form suitable for the desired makeup.

The heating support may have a longitudinal axis which is rectilinear or not. A curvilinear longitudinal axis can for example further improve the ergonomics.

The longitudinal axis of the heating support may be coincident or parallel to the longitudinal axis of a gripping portion of the application device, this gripping portion being for example merged with a housing of the application device.

The longitudinal axis of the support may be rectilinear and make an angle with the longitudinal axis of the gripping portion of the application device.

The heating support may have a cross section which decreases towards its distal end. This can facilitate the removal of the applicator tip.

The support may comprise a heating resistor disposed inside an envelope which may have a substantially constant thickness, for example to more easily obtain a relatively homogeneous temperature over the entire length of the heating support. Where appropriate, the casing may have a longitudinally varying wall thickness depending on a desired temperature profile.

The thickness of the envelope may, for example, decrease towards the distal end of the heating support, for example to obtain a higher temperature. high end of the heating support. Alternatively, the thickness of the envelope may be constant at least on the portion covered by the composition.

The heating support may have an outer surface of circular shape or not in cross section, for example polygonal, and may be smooth or not, have streaks or not, or any other relief.

The presence of reliefs such as streaks, in particular longitudinal streaks, may, for example, promote the adhesion of the composition once softened or liquefied by the heat released by the heating support.

The applicator tip may have an internal cross section which is homothetic or not the outer cross section of the heating support.

The applicator tip may have a tapered shape and in particular have a narrowed tip, which may facilitate the production of an eyelash treatment by eyelash.

The applicator tip may have an outer surface of generally conical shape over at least a portion of its length.

The distal end of the applicator tip may be rounded.

The applicator tip may have at its base an extra thickness, for example in the form of a flange, intended for example to facilitate the gripping of the applicator tip by the user and / or the removal of the applicator tip of the applicator. heating support. This extra thickness can cover an unheated region of the application device.

The applicator tip may have an outer cross section of circular shape or not, for example polygonal, and / or flattened, with streaks or not.

The applicator tip may have axial symmetry, or even a symmetrical shape of revolution.

On at least a portion of its length, the applicator tip may have a substantially constant wall thickness, for example between 0.5 and 2 mm.

The application device may be devoid of application element such as teeth or bristles, especially when it is intended to deposit a composition for extending the eyelashes.

Alternatively, the application device may comprise at least one row of teeth and / or bristles, for example to comb the eyelashes after application of the composition, especially when it is not intended to lengthen the eyelashes.

These teeth and / or bristles may be integral with the heating support and / or alternatively integral with a holding member disposed near the heating support, for example extending along the latter on at least one side or on two opposite sides of the heating support.

Where appropriate, the application device comprises a pressing element for bending the eyelashes after application of the composition.

The assembly may comprise a wire cutter device, which is for example integral with the application device. The cutter device may for example comprise a blade integrally molded with the housing of the application device. The wire cutter device can still be secured to a cover coming to cover the heating support. The applicator tip is made with the composition which is, for example, solid at 25 Ā° C. and has a sharpness at 45 Ā° C.

The applicator tip has, for example, a shape having a concavity, for example a hollow shape, for example a thimble, a tile, a dome, or a nail shape, as indicated above.

The applicator tip may be proposed to the user within a string of nozzles made in one piece by molding the composition, two adjacent tips being connected by at least one breakable material bridge.

The applicator tip may have a shape allowing its stacking.

Several end pieces may be proposed to the user integral with a grid from which each end can be extracted by the heating support, thanks, for example, for example, a frictional force between the heating support and the upper nozzle to the retaining force of the tip on the grid.

The application device may be arranged so that the temperature of the heating support is comprised during the operation of the heating support between 45 Ā° C and 90 Ā° C, better still between 50 and 70 Ā° C, on at least a portion of its length and on this portion all around the longitudinal axis.

The device may comprise means for regulating the temperature of the heating support, for example a thermostat or an electronic circuit comprising a temperature probe.

The heating support may be movable relative to a housing of the application device or the application device may comprise an ejection member of the applicator tip, as indicated above.

The heating support may have a finger shape, especially undercut, to facilitate the extraction of the applicator tip after use.

The support may comprise a central housing containing a heating resistor. The application device may comprise or be arranged to receive a vibrating source.

The subject of the invention is also a process for making eyelashes, comprising the steps of:

The application device 10 shown in FIGS. Figures 1 to 4 comprises a heating support 11 and a housing 12 housing an electrical source 13, which is for example constituted, as illustrated, by a flat battery of 9V.

In a variant not shown, the power source is rechargeable and can be recharged for example by arranging the application device on a base.

In another variant not shown, the 9V battery is replaced by at least one 1.5V stick battery, or two 1.5V batteries arranged side by side, or a 3V button cell.

The application device can still use an accumulator or be powered by the mains.

The application device 10 may comprise a member 14 for controlling the operation of the heating support 11, for example in the form of a contactor, for example a pushbutton, allowing, when entrenched by the user, electrically supplying a heating resistor 15, not apparent on the figure 1 but visible on the electrical diagram of the figure 13 .

The application device 10 may optionally comprise, as illustrated, a light indicator 16 to signal to the user that the heating resistor 15 has been energized.

The heating resistor 15 may be chosen such that even when electrically fed continuously, the temperature at the surface of the heating support 11 remains lower, in a closed environment at 25 Ā° C., at a temperature likely to cause a risk of burns. the user in case of accidental contact, for example a temperature of 90 Ā° C or 95 Ā° C.

Preferably, in operation, the surface temperature of the heating support 11 remains between 45 Ā° C and 95 Ā° C, more preferably 45 Ā° C and 90 Ā° C, more preferably between 55 and 65 Ā° C, but it is not beyond the scope of the present invention when the temperature during operation is other, especially higher.

Preferably, the surface temperature varies by less than 5 Ā° C as one moves about the circumference of the heating support at a point of its length.

In an exemplary embodiment of the invention, the heating support 11 may receive an applicator tip 20, as illustrated in FIGS. Figures 2 to 4 .

This applicator tip 20 comprises an eyelash makeup composition having a property that varies as a function of temperature, in particular a running characteristic.

This is for example a composition comprising at least one reversible polymer.

The running character may in particular be of d max greater than or equal to 5 mm, measured as indicated below.

The running characteristic of the composition is determined using the texturometer sold under the name TA X-T2i by the company RHEO, equipped with a temperature-controlled mobile, this mobile being a reference stainless steel heating cartridge Firerod DIV-STL (Watlow Company, France), with a diameter of 3.17 mm and a length of 60 mm, with a maximum power of 40 W at a voltage of 24 V, with a K-type thermocouple loc C.

The heating cartridge is powered by a DC power source and its temperature is regulated by a TC 48 PID controller from Faucigny Instrument (France). An attachment appendix has been created to fix the temperature-controlled mobile to the measurement arm of the texturometer.

The measurement is made on son of composition obtained by imposing a vertical displacement of the mobile to contact with a sample of the composition and, after a waiting time in contact, imposing a vertical movement of the mobile up. Since the composition has a hot-running character, a wire is formed between the mobile in the shrinkage phase and the sample of the composition, this wire becoming more consistent under the effect of cooling with ambient air. The measurement of d max consists of a measurement of the length of wires thus formed after detachment from the surface of the mobile.

The protocol is as follows:
  1. a) a sample of the composition is prepared by filling to its maximum a stainless steel cup 2 mm thick and 20 mm in diameter, the excess composition being leveled at the surface,
  2. b) the temperature of the mobile is controlled at 40 Ā° C.,
  3. c) the mobile descends at a speed of 10 mm / s until contact with the surface of the composition,
  4. d) the mobile is held stationary for 10s and then raised at a speed of 10 mm / s.

During the removal phase of the mobile, a wire is formed between the composition and the mobile. As the mobile is moved away from the surface of the composition, the formed wire cools and becomes more consistent. From a certain elongation, the wire is detached from the mobile.

The quantity d max (expressed in mm) corresponds to the length of the wire obtained after breaking, measured with a graduated rule.

The measurement of the spinning character is repeated three times for the same composition, in different places of the cup, and a mean of "spinning" d max is calculated for each composition.

Among the values of filant that can be obtained at different temperatures, the highest value is used as the rolling character value d max .

La composition utilisĆ©e peut prĆ©senter par exemple un caractĆØre filant dmax supĆ©rieur ou Ć©gal Ć  5 mm, pouvant aller jusqu'Ć  100 mm, de prĆ©fĆ©rence supĆ©rieur ou Ć©gal Ć  7 mm, mieux supĆ©rieur ou Ć©gal Ć  10 mm et mieux supĆ©rieur ou Ć©gal Ć  15 mm.The composition used may have, for example, a filament character d max greater than or equal to 5 mm, up to 100 mm, preferably greater than or equal to 7 mm, better than or equal to 10 mm and better still greater than or equal to 15 mm. mm.

De prĆ©fĆ©rence, la composition est apte Ć  former un fil tel que, si aprĆØs formation du fil et mesure du dmax selon le protocole indiquĆ© ci-dessus, on place la coupelle comprenant la composition Ć  la verticale (de maniĆØre Ć  ce que le fil soit en position horizontale, c'est-Ć -dire soumis Ć  la gravitĆ©) au moins trente secondes, le fil conserve une longueur minimale de 5 mm (mesurable manuellement Ć  la rĆØgle graduĆ©e).Preferably, the composition is capable of forming a yarn such that, after forming the yarn and measuring the d max according to the protocol indicated above, the cup comprising the composition is placed vertically (so that the yarn in horizontal position, that is to say subjected to gravity) at least thirty seconds, the wire keeps a minimum length of 5 mm (measurable manually to the scale).

The temperature at which the applicator tip 20 is worn is for example the temperature at which the running character d max is maximum.

The inner surface 21 of the applicator tip 20 can match the shape of the outer surface 35 of the envelope 30, as shown in FIG. figure 40 , with a draft facilitating the evacuation of the composition residues on the heating support 11 after application.

The applicator tip 20 may comprise at its base a collar 22 which is thicker, the thickness of the flange 22 being for example at least double that of the endpiece at mid-length.

The thickness e of the applicator tip 20, from the flange 22 to the distal end, is, for example, between 0.2 and 2 mm, preferably between 0.3 and 1 mm, being, for example, About 0.4 mm.

The flange 22 may have a thickness greater than e, especially greater than 1 mm, for example about 2 mm.

The applicator tip 20 may cover an unheated region of the applicator device 10.

For example, the flange 22 may cover an unheated region of the application device, for example a ring of thermal insulating material, located at the base of the heating support 11.

The mounting of the applicator tip 20 can be done by fitting by moving it along the longitudinal axis of the heating support 11, as shown in FIG. figure 6 . The removal can be done by the reverse movement.

The application of the composition to the eyelashes C can be carried out for example by bringing the outer lateral surface 23 of the applicator tip 20 heated tangentially into contact with the eyelashes C, as illustrated in the drawings. Figures 7 and 8 . The longitudinal axis X of the applicator tip 20 is for example oriented substantially parallel to the eyelash fringe.

During application, the applicator tip 20 is for example moved parallel to itself without substantial rotational movement, along the eyelashes C, from their base to their point and beyond it, so as to create a composition thread in the extension of the eyelashes.

The user may optionally act on the heating control member 14 so as to act on the consistency of the composition and obtain the desired result.

The application of the composition can be carried out on several eyelashes C simultaneously.

Alternatively, the user can treat the eyelashes individually, as illustrated in the Figures 9 and 10 for example by bringing the distal portion of the applicator tip 20 into contact with an eyelash C, the X axis being for example oriented substantially perpendicularly to the eyelash fringe.

The son of composition can be cut to the desired length after their formation at the end of eyelash.

The applicator device 10 can be made with a housing for receiving a spare applicator tip, as illustrated in FIG. figure 11 .

This housing is for example provided in the housing 12 on the opposite side to the heating support 11, being for example arranged to maintain the collar 22 of the applicator out of the housing 12, to facilitate its grip by the user.

In a variant, the housing 12 comprises a housing accessible through the opening of a hatch of the housing, to receive one or more applicator tips 20. Where appropriate, access to this housing can be effected by opening the housing, especially when it is made by molding with two parts 12a and 12b connected by a film hinge 12c, as illustrated in FIG. figure 12 .

The heating support 11 may be fixed relative to the housing 12. Alternatively, as illustrated in FIGS. Figures 14 and 15 , the heating support 11 may be movable relative to the housing 12, for example between a position of use shown in FIG. figure 14 and a retracted position represented at the figure 15 .

Le dĆ©placement du support chauffant 11 peut s'effectuer par exemple grĆ¢ce Ć  un curseur 40 mobile relativement au boĆ®tier 12 et solidaire du support chauffant 11.The displacement of the heating support 11 can be carried out for example by means of a slider 40 movable relative to the housing 12 and secured to the heating support 11.

This slider 40 can slide for example in a slot 41 of the housing 12.

The displacement of the heating support 11 can take place independently of its power supply or not. Alternatively, the power supply may take place in the output position of the heating support 11, regardless of how the application device is made.

As illustrated on Figures 14 and 15 , the heating support 11 can move through an opening 43 of the housing 12, which preferably has a sufficiently small size so that the retraction of the heating support 11 is accompanied by an ejection of the applicator tip 20, which remains in abutment against the surface 44 of the housing 12 bordering the opening 43.

If necessary, locking means in the retracted position or output of the heating support 11 may be provided, these locking means being for example in the form of a relief generating a hard point in the running stroke of the heating support 11.

In the variant illustrated in Figures 16 and 17 the ejection of the applicator tip 20 is obtained by means of an ejection push-button 47 which can move relative to the heating support 11 when the user presses on an actuating member 48.

The heating support 11 can still be mobile relative to the housing of the application device 10 other than in translation, for example in rotation about its longitudinal axis or an axis perpendicular thereto, as illustrated in FIGS. Figures 18 and 19 .

In this example, the heating support is movable about a quarter turn between a retracted position shown in FIG. figure 18 and a retracted position shown at figure 19 . Such pivoting may be useful in particular to reduce the size of the application device in the absence of use.

The passage from the retracted position to the retracted position can take place, if necessary, against the return action of an elastic member and the application device can comprise an unlocking member of the heating support 11 so that that it automatically resumes the output position under the action of return of the elastic member.

The heating support 11 can be made with different shapes and orientations. In the example of the figure 20 the possibility has been illustrated for the heating support 11 to extend along a curvilinear longitudinal axis Y, the axis Y being, for example, substantially arc-shaped, of curvature for example adapted to that of the bangs of eyelashes.

In the variant illustrated in figure 21 , the longitudinal axis Y of the heating support 11 is rectilinear and extends at an angle Ī± with the longitudinal axis Z of the housing 12 of the application device.

The eyelash treatment unit, comprising the applicator device 10 and the applicator tip 20, may optionally comprise, in a single package, a wire cutter device 50, as illustrated in FIG. figure 22 .

This device 50 is for example part of the application device 10, as illustrated in this figure, being for example at least partially, or entirely, made in one piece by molding plastic material with the housing 12 or being attached to that -this. The device may also, in a variant not shown, be made with a removable cover for protecting the heating support.

The wire cutter device 50 may alternatively be independent of the application device 10 and provided to the user for example in a common package or with the applicator tips 20 or a container containing the composition.

The wire cutter device 50 shown in FIG. figure 22 has a blade 51 for cutting a wire F of composition extending the end of an eyelash C, as illustrated in FIG. figure 23 , to the desired length. This wire F can be cut by being pinched between the blade 51 and a counterblade 53 formed for example by a wall of the housing 12.

The wire cutter device 50 could still be otherwise, especially in the form of a guillotine.

The housing 12 can be made with various shapes, and as illustrated in FIGS. Figures 24 to 26 , with a housing 12 of elongate tubular shape giving the application device 10 a general shape of pen.

If appropriate, such an application device 10 may comprise at its end opposite the heating support 11 a housing for receiving a spare applicator tip, as illustrated in FIG. figure 27 .

A pen shape can make it possible to use, for example, as an electrical source 13, one or more 1.5V stick batteries for example.

On peut Ć©galement munir d'un capot 100 le dispositif d'application 10 reprĆ©sentĆ© Ć  la figure 1 ou tout autre dispositif d'application 10.On the figure 25 , the possibility has been illustrated for the applicator device 10 to comprise a cover 100 that can cover the heating support 11 before and after the application of the composition. Such a cover 100 may, if necessary, facilitate the temperature rise of the applicator tip 20 through the confinement of hot air. It is also possible to provide a cover 100 with the application device 10 shown in FIG. figure 1 or any other application device 10.

Cette portion est par exemple de longueur comprise entre 3 et 40 mm.The heating support 11 can be made with various shapes and in particular various cross sections, in particular on the portion intended to be covered by the applicator tip 20 during use. This portion is for example of length between 3 and 40 mm.

A titre d'exemple, on a reprƩsentƩ diffƩrentes possibilitƩs de sections transversales sur les figures 29 Ơ 34.By way of example, different possibilities of cross-sections on the Figures 29 to 34 .

The heating support 11 may have an envelope 30 having an outer surface of circular shape in section, as illustrated in FIG. figure 29 , or polygonal, for example triangular as illustrated in FIG. figure 30 , hexagonal as shown in figure 31 , or square as shown in figure 32 , with concave faces 37 as shown Figures 33 or 34 or in non-illustrated variants with outer faces convex, with lobes or in the form of a polygon with more than six sides, for example octagon.

Ces stries s'Ć©tendent par exemple longitudinalement au moins sur la majeure partie de la longueur de la portion destinĆ©e Ć  ĆŖtre recouverte par l'embout applicateur 20.Where appropriate, the outer surface of the envelope 30 may be made with reliefs such as streaks 38, as illustrated in FIGS. Figures 35 and 36 . These ridges extend for example longitudinally over at least most of the length of the portion intended to be covered by the applicator tip 20.

On the figure 32A there is shown a heating support having in section a rectangular shape and on the figure 32B a reniform heating support in cross section.

The heating support shown at figure 32C has an upper portion 11a and a base 11b protruding on either side of the upper portion 11a.

The latter has for example a half-cylindrical shape. The width of the base 11b on each side of the upper portion 11a is for example greater than or equal to the thickness of the associated applicator tip. The latter may present, as illustrated in figure 61 , a tile shape, of dimensions adapted to those of the upper part 11a.

When the applicator tip is fitted laterally on the upper part 11a, as illustrated in FIG. figure 62 , the applicator tip 20 can come into contact with or near the base 11b, which can oppose the flow of the product downwards.

The base 11b of the heating support may be made of a heat conductive material or not. The realization of the base 11b in a thermal insulator can improve its product retention function.

Cette rangƩe est reprƩsentƩe en pointillƩs Ơ la figure 32C.The base portion 11b may comprise, in a variant, at least one row of teeth opposite the hot surface. This row is shown in dashed line at figure 32C .

The applicator tip 20 may have an inner surface 21 that does not fully conform to the shape of the outer surface facing the heating support 11, as is the case in the example of the figure 35 , the applicator tip 20 coming for example initially in contact with the heating support 11 only at the top of the ribs 38.

During the heating of the heating support 11, the applicator tip 20 softens or even becomes fluid, and the applicator tip 20 can deform and tend to take the shape of the outer surface of the heating support, as illustrated in FIG. figure 36 .

Cela peut amƩliorer l'accrochage, notamment par capillaritƩ, de la composition de l'embout applicateur 20 sur le support chauffant et diminuer le risque de coulure de la composition hors du support chauffant 11.This can improve the attachment, in particular by capillarity, of the composition of the applicator tip 20 on the heating support and reduce the risk of the composition running off the heating support 11.

In the example of Figures 37 and 38 , the heating support 11 has a multi-lobed shape, for example trilobal as illustrated, and the applicator tip 20 does not initially come into contact with the bottom of the concave surfaces defined between the lobes.

It is only after softening of the applicator tip 20, as illustrated in FIG. figure 38 that the composition comes into contact with the heating support 11 over the entire circumference.

The applicator tip 20 can be made with different shapes adapted to that of the heating support 11 and the desired makeup.

The applicator tip 20 may in particular have a cross section, in its portion which is intended to contact the eyelashes, circular as illustrated in FIG. figure 41 or non-circular, for example polygonal, in particular hexagonal as illustrated in FIG. figure 42 , triangular as illustrated in figure 43 , square as shown in figure 44 , even rectangular or octagonal.

The applicator tip 20 may also be made with a flattened shape, for example at least in its distal portion, as illustrated in FIGS. Figures 45 and 46 .

The applicator tip 20 can be made with a constant material thickness, in particular in its portion intended to come into contact with the eyelashes, for example the portion of the applicator tip covering the lateral surface of the heating support 11.

The thickness of material may also be non-constant, for example because the outer contour and the inner contour, in cross section, of the applicator tip 20 have different shapes, for example a circular shape for the outer contour and a polygonal shape for the inner contour, as illustrated in FIG. figure 47 , or the opposite as illustrated in figure 48 .

The applicator tip 20 can be made with a narrowed point 29 at the end, as shown in FIG. figure 49 this narrowed point 29 being connected by a recess 28 to the rest of the applicator tip 20.

Alternatively, it can be made with a shape also narrowed, corresponding to that of the tip 29 of the applicator tip.

The presence of a narrowed portion at the distal end of the applicator tip 20 may facilitate eyelash treatment.

The applicator tip 20 may have a length that corresponds substantially to that of the heating support, for example a length which is greater so that the applicator tip has an unheated portion substantially retaining its shape and facilitating the extraction of what remains of the applicator tip after use. As a variant, the applicator tip 20 may have a length less than that of the heating support, as illustrated in FIG. figure 50 .

If necessary, several applicator tips having different shapes and / or made in different compositions may be provided with the same application device, the user choosing the applicator tip adapted to the makeup to be performed.

De prƩfƩrence, l'embout applicateur 20 prƩsente une forme creuse et vient recouvrir la surface latƩrale du support chauffant 11, mais l'invention n'est pas limitƩe Ơ un tel agencement de l'embout applicateur 20 relativement au support chauffant 11.Preferably, the applicator tip 20 has a hollow shape and covers the lateral surface of the heating support 11, but the invention is not limited to such an arrangement of the applicator tip 20 relative to the heating support 11.

The applicator tip 20 may for example have a nail shape and be fitted into a housing 60 provided at the end of the heating support 11, as illustrated in FIG. figure 51 .

In such an example, the applicator tip 20 is partially covered by the heating support.

Le cas Ć©chĆ©ant, un poussoir intĆ©rieur 61 est prĆ©vu pour Ć©jecter l'embout aprĆØs utilisation, ce poussoir 61 coulissant par exemple Ć  l'intĆ©rieur d'un logement du support chauffant 11.If necessary, an inner pusher 61 is provided for ejecting the tip after use, this pusher 61 sliding for example inside a housing of the heating support 11.

The head of the tip that covers the tip of the heating support can be used to make up the eyelashes.

The heating support 11 can still be produced, as illustrated in FIGS. Figures 63 and 64 with a domed heating surface 500 forming, for example, a projection on one side of a flat rod 300.

The applicator tip 20 may have a spherical cap shape, in order to come into close contact with the heating surface 500.

In the exemplary embodiment of the figure 67 , the heating support 11 has a ball-like shape and the applicator tip has for example a substantially complementary hollow shape in order to be inserted above, either axially or by the side.

In the variant illustrated in figure 68 , the heating support has a fork shape. The applicator tip 20 may then have any shape adapted to engage on and / or between the teeth of the heating support 11.

The envelope 30 of the heating support may have a variable thickness depending on the position along the longitudinal axis Y of the heating support, as illustrated in FIG. figure 28 , in particular a wall thickness which decreases closer to the distal end 33, so as to give the outer lateral surface 35 a generally conical shape facilitating the extraction of the applicator tip 20.

La variation de l'Ć©paisseur de la paroi de l'enveloppe 30 peut ĆŖtre choisie en fonction de la tempĆ©rature Ć  atteindre en surface, en fonction par exemple de la nature et de la position de la rĆ©sistance chauffante 15 disposĆ©e Ć  l'intĆ©rieur de l'enveloppe 30.The variation of the thickness of the wall of the casing 30 can be chosen as a function of the temperature to be attained at the surface, as a function, for example, of the nature and position of the heating resistor disposed inside the casing. envelope 30.

Where appropriate, as illustrated in figure 52 the casing may have a substantially constant wall thickness over most of the length of the heating support 11.

The heating resistor 15 may extend all along the portion of the heating support 11 covered by the applicator tip 20, as illustrated in FIG. figure 53 . Alternatively, the heating resistor 15 may extend only over a portion of that length, as illustrated in FIG. figure 54 , being for example located at the end of the heating support 11.

The heating resistor 15 is for example inserted into a housing of the casing, with a small clearance, so as to improve the heat transfer.

L'enveloppe peut encore ĆŖtre en PTFE (TeflonĀ®) ou recouverte de PTFE.In a variant, the envelope 30 is overmolded on the heating resistor 15, as illustrated in FIG. figure 55 . In this case, in order to produce the envelope 30, it is possible to use a synthetic material such as silicone, for example filled with metal or magnesia particles. The casing can be made of PTFE (TeflonĀ®) or covered with PTFE.

L'enveloppe 30 peut ĆŖtre rigide ou souple. The envelope 30 may be rigid or flexible.

In a variant, the envelope 30 is made of glass or ceramic.

The applicator tip 20 can be made in one piece in the composition to be applied to the eyelashes.

As a variant, the applicator tip 20 may be composite, comprising, for example, a substrate S covered by the composition P to be applied, as illustrated in FIG. figure 56 .

In another example, which is not part of the present invention and which is illustrated in the Figures 57 to 60 the composition P to be applied to the eyelashes is not initially in the form of a mouthpiece but is contained in pulverulent, pasty, gelled or liquid form in a container 200 which may be of any type and which has not been shown that very schematically about the Figures 57 and 58 .

To load the heating support 11 with the composition P, the heating support 11 is brought into contact with the composition P, for example by immersing the heating support 11 in the composition P contained in the container 200, as illustrated in FIG. figure 57 .

In the case where the composition P is pulverulent, the heating support 11 can be brought to the hot state in contact with the composition P so that it adheres to the heating support because of its softening or its fluidization on contact of it.

After removal of the heating support 11, a layer of composition P remains on the heating support 11 as can be seen on the Figures 59 and 60 surrounding the heating support 11 over its entire circumference. The heating support 11 thus coated with the composition may be used as described above, with reference to the Figures 7 to 10 .

The heating support 11 can be further loaded by being brought to the cold state in the container 200, and then cold out of the container or put into operation in the container.

The composition P may contain a binder, for example an oil, intended to improve the adhesion of the composition P to the heating support 11, in particular when cold.

The container 200 may advantageously comprise a seal 210 applying to the application device when the heating support 11 is introduced into the container 200, in order to reduce the risk of loss of composition P in the event of the container 200 being turned upside down.

The seal 210 is for example overmolded on the opening of the container 200 or otherwise fixed.

Alternatively, the seal 210 is carried by the application device.

Where appropriate, as illustrated in figure 58 , the container 200 can be fixed on the application device except when loading the heating support 11 with the composition P.

The applicator device is for example designed to allow the closure of the container, and comprises for example a threaded skirt 211 on the opposite side to the heating support 11.

In a variant not shown, the heating support 11 of the applicator device can be used without an applicator tip, for example to curl the eyelashes, by pressing on them against a heated surface by the heating support. This heated surface is for example the outer surface of the heating support or that of a tip to bend reported on the heating support.

On donne ci-aprĆØs des exemples de compositions.Examples of compositions are given below.

It is understood that the invention is not limited to a particular composition.

EXEMPLES PROPOSESPROPOSED EXAMPLES Exemple 1 : Example 1

The ingredients are mixed at 100 Ā° C. and allowed to cool to room temperature in a mold in the shape of the tip.

On obtient un mascara solide de couleur noire. We obtain a solid mascara of black color.

On mesure le dmax de la composition selon le protocole indiquƩ plus haut : ce mascara prƩsente un dmax d'environ 35 mm.The d max of the composition is measured according to the protocol indicated above: this mascara has a d max of approximately 35 mm.

Exemple 2 : Example 2

The composition of Example 1 is used, but in pulverulent form, for example with a particle size of between 1 Ī¼m and 3 Ī¼m, the powder being formed, for example, by abrasion.

A binder such as an oil may be added, if necessary.

When the heating support is brought into contact with such a powder, the heating support is sheathed by the composition which covers it on a complete revolution about its axis.

The invention is not limited to the examples which have just been described.

The temperature of the heating support can be regulated electronically or not.

The applicator tip may have other shapes than those illustrated, for example a partially rounded section of tongue section, of thickness for example between 0.2 and 2 mm.

In particular, it is possible to combine the various features of embodiment of the various examples within new non-illustrated variants.

In a variant not shown, access to the inside of the housing of the application device is from the rear, for example through an articulated bottom.

The assembly comprising the applicator device and the applicator tip may be offered to the consumer with, where appropriate, a composition to be applied to the eyelashes before bringing them into contact with the composition present on the heating support, for example example in order to make up and / or reduce the adhesion of the composition son formed in the extension of the eyelashes.

The assembly may also be provided with a composition to be applied to the elongate eyelashes, for example to change their color or create effects.

The application device may comprise a vibrating source, if necessary. This vibrating source can be integrated into the device or reported on it.

We have shown figure 69 a device 10 arranged to allow the attachment thereon of a vibrating source 400. The latter is for example engaged in a housing housing 12 to transmit the vibrations it generates to the heating support 11. The housing 12 has by example a flattened form, for example generally parallelepipedic.

The vibrating source 400 may comprise an electric motor 410 driving an eccentric flyweight, the axis of rotation of this motor being disposed within the vibrating source 400 as a function of the desired orientation for the vibrations, for example parallel to the axis longitudinal of the heating support 11 or transversely to this axis or else otherwise.

We illustrated on the figure 69 the possibility of carrying out the power supply of the device 10 by means of two 1.5-volt batteries 410, of the stick-battery type, for example, but the power supply of the device 10 can be carried out still differently.

L'alimentation Ć©lectrique du support chauffant 11 peut s'effectuer grĆ¢ce Ć  un interrupteur 14.The power supply of the heating support 11 can be effected by means of a switch 14.

The vibrations can be switched on for example by means of a switch, present for example on the vibrating source 400, which enables the user to choose the operating mode of the device, namely heating with vibrations, vibration alone or heating alone.

When the vibrating source is integrated in the housing 12 of the device 10, the latter may comprise two switches, one to trigger the heating and the other to trigger the vibrations. In a variant, the device comprises only one switch which simultaneously controls both at the same time.

The device 10 may be in an elongated form, as illustrated in FIG. figure 71 , for example with a power supply comprising two stick batteries arranged end to end.

The vibrating source 400 may be at the rear of the device, being for example integrated therein or constituted by a removable unit.

Requirement WO 2006/090343 , whose contents are incorporated by reference, discloses examples of vibrating sources, an example of a removable vibrating source being shown in FIG. figure 45 this request.

La frƩquence des vibrations est par exemple supƩrieure ou Ʃgale Ơ 1 Hz, Ʃtant par exemple comprise entre 1 et 500 Hz, mieux 50 Ơ 200 Hz.The vibration frequency is for example greater than or equal to 1 Hz, being for example between 1 and 500 Hz, better 50 to 200 Hz.

The amplitude of the vibrations of the heating support is preferably less than or equal to 5 mm, more preferably 3 mm, microvibrations being preferable.

We illustrated at the figure 72 the possibility of vibrating the device 10 by means of a vibrating source which is temporarily brought into contact with the device 10, for example by being pressed against the housing 12.

The vibrating source 400 is then, for example, in the form of a ring which is provided with a mounting means 420 on the finger of the user.

The vibrating source 400 may comprise a contactor 430 which is actuated when the ring is applied against the object to which it must transmit vibrations.

In the illustrated example, the contactor 430 is present on the face of the ring which is opposite to the mounting means 420, and the user can transmit the vibrations to the heating support 11 by tightening between the two fingers the application device 10 , the vibrating ring being mounted on one of these fingers.

The presence of vibrations during application may be useful to control the application of the product more easily and in particular break the length of the product son that are formed at the end of the eyelashes. The user can for example stretch the son of product without vibrations and trigger the vibrations when they have reached the desired length to break them.

The vibration of the heating support can thus make it easier to lengthen the eyelashes without necessarily having to rapidly stretch the son of product, which is an operation difficult to reproduce. The vibrations can make it easier to break the son of products to the desired dimensions.

The user can also, thanks to the invention, form a succession of small packets of product at the end of the eyelashes, as illustrated in FIG. figure 73 .

The vibrations can promote the adhesion of the melted composition on the eyelashes, make the elongation more homogeneous, and allow a makeup gesture that is slower and more easily reproducible.

Vibrations can also broaden the acceptable temperature range for makeup.

The vibrating source can be made otherwise than with a motor driving an eccentric flyweight, for example comprising a motor driving an eccentric, a piezoelectric or electromechanical vibrator. The vibrating source may comprise a motor driving a toothed wheel and a shoe constituted for example by an elastic blade applying to this toothed wheel.
