Definitions
- the invention relates to a beverage can with drinking cap, wherein the drinking cap has a cup with a bottom and a side cup wall with drinking edge and a Aufsteckrand for holding on a can bead.
- DE 201 16 724 (Schwöbel) describes a beverage can with an associated drinking attachment.
- the beverage can has a molded collar that encloses an inner sheath made of plastic.
- the inner shell forms at its upper end an outwardly curved drinking edge.
- a modification of the beverage can is required, with the result that even those beverage cans for which no drinking attachment is needed, must be provided with a raised collar.
- DE 202 15 265 (Schwöbel) describes a drinking attachment that can be placed on a conventional can with beaded can bead.
- the drinking attachment contains a funnel with a flexible wall, which is sealingly supported on the end wall of the can. Through an opening of the drinking cap through the closure of the can be torn open.
- the drinking attachment contains an additional container which at the same time forms the lid for the drinking attachment.
- US Pat. No. 4,098,439 and US Pat. No. 4,715,510 each describe a drinking attachment for a can, wherein the drinking attachment consists of a cup made of plastic, which is fastened in a clamping or latching manner on the can.
- the invention has for its object to provide a beverage can with drinking cap, which can be accommodated to save space and storage for transport and in this state has a low overall height.
- the beverage can according to the invention is characterized by the features of claim 1. Thereafter, the cup of the drinking cap is sized so that it is firmly attached to the can with a tight fit.
- the beverage can according to the invention offers the possibility to put the cup-shaped drinking cap on the upper end of the beverage can, so postpone the cup upside down on the beverage can.
- the drinking attachment then has a firm hold on the can so that it can be transported and stored together with the can.
- the drinking cap is removed and placed in the correct orientation, namely with bottom facing down on the can.
- the drinking cap can thus be mounted in two different positions on the can, namely in an everted state and in a drinking state.
- the transition from the inverted state to the drinking state is very simple, because the drinking attachment only needs to be removed from the can, turned around and then snapped back again.
- the drinking attachment forms a drinking cup with drinking rim, so that there is no risk that the lips are injured on a sharp can edge of the metal sheet can.
- the drinking cap can be made with little effort as one-piece plastic part, which sits in the delivery state to save space on the can. As a result, the cost of the can is increased only slightly and also required for the drinking cap volume is reduced to a minimum.
- the bottom of the cup includes an opening which can be closed with a removable closure lid.
- the cap causes the open top of the drinking cap forms a resealable lid, which prevents uncontrolled leakage of the drink in the can, even if the can should fall over.
- the user is not forced to drink the can immediately empty. Rather, he can re-close the can after the first opening or after the tearing of the actual can closure.
- the closure lid may have an arm attached to the bottom of the cup. In this way he is captive connected to the cup, which is ensured by the arm, the required mobility of the closure lid.
- a preferred embodiment of the invention provides that the bottom of the cup forms an elevation, which rises from a seated on the end wall of the box degree of sealing.
- the degree of sealing which rests in the use position of the drinking cap on the end wall of the can, is sufficiently flexible to effect the required sealing.
- a seal is also caused by the closure lid. Liquid emerging from the can opening is thus received in the limited by the increase chamber from which it can not escape. The danger of leakage and Spilling liquid from the cup is easily avoided.
- Another seal forms the Aufsteckrand with which the drinking cap is clamped in the position of use on the can bead.
- the Aufsteckrand can protrude from an inclined surface or conical surface of the drinking cap, which connects the side cup wall with the degree of sealing.
- Fig. 3 is a longitudinal section through the inverted state on the
- Beverage can sitting drinking cup
- Fig. 4 shows a longitudinal section through the drinking cap in the use state
- Fig. 5 is a plan view of Fig. 4 from the direction of arrows V - V.
- a common beverage can 10 is shown in each case, which is usually made of tinplate and contains a drink such as lemonade or beer.
- the beverage can 10 has an integrally molded bottom 11 and at the opposite end a conical neck 12.
- the upper end of the can is closed by the end wall 13 which is connected to the neck 12 by a crimping rim 14.
- the bead 14 forms an outward protruding bead.
- the end wall 13 includes a breakable closure member 15 which can be torn open to expose a pouring spout 16.
- the drinking cap 20 On the beverage can 10 sits in inverted state of the drinking cap 20.
- This consists of a one-piece plastic part. It forms a cup 21 with a bottom 22 and a circumferential side cup wall 23.
- the cup wall 23 terminates in the drinking edge 24 which surrounds the cup opening and forms an outwardly projecting annular bead.
- an elevation 25 is formed which projects into the interior of the cup.
- the lower end of the conical inclined surface 26 is formed by a sealing degree 30, which is placed sealingly on the curved upper end wall 13 of the can.
- the bottom 22 has an elevation 33, below which, according to FIG. 4, a cavity 34 is formed which is delimited by the end wall of the can.
- an opening 35 In the upper wall of the elevation 33 is an opening 35 which is closable with a closure lid 36 which sealingly cooperates with the opening 35.
- the closure cap 36 is integrally connected to a flexible arm 37.
- the arm 37 is connected to the top wall of the elevation 33.
- the closure lid 36 has a lateral pull tab 38, which facilitates withdrawal of the closure lid from the opening 35.
- Fig. 1 shows the placement of the drinking cap on the can 10.
- the drinking cap is pushed in inverted state, ie with upwardly facing bottom 22 from above to the can 10.
- This encloses the cylindrical Cup wall 23, the upper part of the can 10 with a tight fit.
- the inner diameter of the cup 21 is therefore equal to the outer diameter of the cylindrical portion of the box 10th
- the transport and storage condition of the drinking cap 20 is shown in FIG.
- the lateral cup wall 23 fits tightly against the cylindrical part of the can 10.
- the bead 14 of the can and the upper end wall 13 are covered by the drinking cap.
- the Aufsteckrand 27 of the drinking cap and the degree of sealing 30 are free upwards.
- the drinking cap 20 To use the drinking cap 20 this is withdrawn from the box 10, turned over, so that the cup opening 40 now faces upwards, as shown in Fig. 4, and pressed with the Aufsteckrand 27 on the bead 14 of the can. In this case, the barbs 28 tear under the bead 14, while the sealing degree 30 presses sealingly against the end face of the can.
- the can closure 15 was opened.
- the cap 36 When the drinking cap has been attached to the can 10 in the use position (FIG. 4), the cap 36 may be opened to expose the opening 35. By tilting the can then the beverage flows through the opening 35 in the cup 21. By attaching the drinking edge 24 to the mouth of the user can drink the contents of the can.
- the cap 36 In the use state of the cap 36 can be arbitrarily, often resealed and then reopened.
- the cap prevents leakage of the contents of the can in case of tipping over the can. It is therefore not necessary to immediately dehydrate the contents of the can.
