A flexible metal sheet may be provided to cover the second portion and the periphery of the trough.
  • Heating element 274 may be placed on the flexible metal sheet.
  • a perforated portion may be provided in the flexible metal sheet, which enhances the transfer of heat from the heating element 274 to the second potion containing the smoking materials.

Any residual smoke present in the water pipe, which further passes to a next smoker, may thus be minimized. Further, covering of the trough of the water pipe with help of the flexible metal sheet ensures clean trough.

  • a first portion 301 may comprise of activated carbon 301c.
  • Perforations 301b may be provided at a part that acts as a smoke outlet from the smoke filter capsule.
  • a second portion 302 may be provided for placement of smoking materials 302c such as herbal Fruits, tobacco, or cannabis, mollases.
  • Perforated partition 323 may be provided such that the contents of the first portion 301 c are kept confined and distinct from the contents of the second portion.
  • Various specialized filtering means such as activated carbon 301c may be used in the first portion.
  • the perforations 323b in the perforated partition allows flow of smoke from the second portion to the first portion.
  • a flexible metal sheet 303 is provided that covers the second portion. Perforations 303b are provided in the flexible metal sheet that covers the second portion 302.
  • a first portion 401 may be provided as a cartridge having perforations 401b at its bottom. Perforations 401d may also be provided on the top. The portion 401 may thus be made available as a cartridge, which may be replaced.
