Produktionstechnisch wird in dem Mehrkomponentenspritzgusswerkzeug ein beweglicher Stempel vorgesehen, welcher sich zuerst in einer inneren Stellung befindet, so dass beim Einspritzen des ersten Kunststoffs die Basispalette hergestellt wird. In einem nachfolgenden Schritt wird der bewegliche Stempel um einen definierten Bereich nach außen versetzt, so dass zwischen der Basispalette und dem verschobenen Kern ein Hohlraum entsteht, in welchen der zweite Kunststoff eingespritzt wird. Der zweite Kunststoff ist das Material aus welchem die gleithemmende Schicht gebildet wird. Dabei wird zwischen der Basispalette und der gleithemmenden Schicht eine stoffschlüssige Verbindung erreicht. Dies bedeutet, dass vorzugsweise durch eine Art Anschmelzen eines Bereichs der Basispalette die gleithemmende Schicht untrennbar mit der Basispalette verbunden ist.
Die Größe des verschiebaren Stempels entspricht der gesamten Palettenfläche, insbesondere der Beladefläche. In Fig. 1 ist die Palette beispielshalber als Euro-Palette dargestellt. Diese weist üblicherweise die Maße 1200 x 800 x 144 mm auf und ist im Wesentlichen quaderförmig. Die oben liegende Fläche ist die Palettenhauptfläche. Auf der Palettenhauptfläche, im Folgenden auch Beladefläche 2 genannt, wird die zu transportierenden Ware gestapelt. Im dargestellten Aufführungsbeispiel entspricht die Beladefläche 2 der genannten Palettenhauptfläche. Die Palettenhauptfläche weist an den Kanten einen kleinen Radius auf. Die Kanten in Höhenrichtung der Palette sind jedoch durch einen deutlich größeren Radius gekennzeichnet. Die Beladefläche 2 ist eben und durchgehend flächendeckend mit einer gleithemmenden Schicht beschichtet. Zusätzlich weist die Beladefläche 2 eine Vielzahl von Durchbrüchen auf. Hierdurch wird eine tragende dreidimensionale Struktur gebildet, die eine hohe Tragfähigkeit verbunden mit möglichst geringem Materialeinsatz erzeugt. Die Durchbrüche der Beladefläche 2 sind geöffnet, jedoch ist auch denkbar, dass zumindest teilweise nach unten geschlossene Vertiefungen vorgesehen sind. Die Geometrie der Durchbrüche ist zweckmäßigerweise so bemessen, dass an keinem Bereich der Kunststoffpalette unzulässig große Materialanhäufungen gebildet sind.In Fig. 1, the pallet is exemplified as Euro pallet. Ferner ist im Bereich der Außenkanten der flächenmäßige Anteil der Vertiefungen geringer, was bedeutet, dass hier mehr Kunststoffmaterial vorgesehen ist, und dass die Palette an den Kanten somit verstärkt ist.
