Die Versteifungsprofile können sowohl vor als auch nach dem Aufbringen der Abdeckplatten auf das Plattendeck in die Kammern eingebracht werden. Nachdem sie dann in das Palettendeck eingebracht worden sind, werden die Abdeckplatten vorzugsweise durch Schweißung oder Klebung mit dem Palettendeck verbunden. Da außerdem keine Feuchtigkeit darin eindringen kann, können die Versteifungsprofile auch aus Stahl bestehen, da sie nicht rosten. Die Anordnung der Versteifungsprofile im Palettendeck ist vorteilhaft, da sie bei einer Biegebeanspruchung der Kunststoffpalette auf Zug beansprucht werden, wodurch die versteifende Wirkung besonders groß ist. Da die Andeckplatten flächenbündig liegen, entsteht eine ansatzfreie als glattflächig anzusehende Ladefläche. Damit die Verschlußelemente bzw. die Stopfen nicht gegenüber den angrenzenden Flächen vorstehen, ist vorgesehen, daß die Bohrung außenseitig ausgesenkt ist. Das Verschlußelement bzw. der Stopfen hat dann einen entsprechenden Flansch, der in dem ausgesenkten Bereich liegt. An der unteren Seite stehen die Flächen der Kunststoffpalette im Winkel zueinander. Zweckmäßigerweise sind die einzelnen Flächen glattflächig. Zur Erhöhung der Biegesteifigkeit ist es dann zweckmäßig, wenn in bestimmten Bereichen das Palettendeck mit Taschen versehen ist.
