Definitions
- Liquid packaging made of cardboard, beverage cans and cups with closure systems suffer to the present disadvantage that the desired absolute gas-tightness is not given, although the actual packing material is completely gas-tight.
- the problem lies in the closure systems. A certain gas permeation and thus a slow diffusion of oxygen through the closure system and its material is not effectively avoided. The shelf life of packaged liquids such as milk and fruit juices is therefore limited.
- the actual packing materials are completely gas-tight and one speaks of an aspetic packaging, the ingredients can "tip over" and spoil because of the diffusion of oxygen through the pouring and sealing system.
- the closure systems consist of three parts: a nozzle, which is mounted on the package, a guided in the nozzle cutting sleeve and a nozzle cap. When unscrewing the nozzle cap this rotates with the cutting sleeve, which then moves down and cuts the gas-tight film.
- the object of the present invention is to provide a gas-tight neck closure with opening device, which provides the required gas-tightness, which consists of only two parts and which includes an automatic opening device for easy opening.
- the neck closure should be incurred by the first-time opening of the neck closure no separately to be disposed of sealing film.
- the neck closure should also offer an externally testable first-opening guarantee.
- a gas-tight neck closure with opening device consisting of a nozzle with associated nozzle cap, which is characterized in that the nozzle is integrally sealed in its clear opening of a sealing plate and at the bottom of the nozzle cap in the clear opening of the nozzle fitting ring is formed, and that cooperating guide means on Stutzenaussenseite and cap inside are present, so that upon rotation of the nozzle cap in the opening direction the same with its ring under the breaking out of the sealing plate by the same first a piece pressed against the nozzle and afterwards it is removable from the nozzle.
- FIG. 1 the gas-tight neck closure is shown in the closed state, where he in this figure in a bottom filled beverage can. 2 is integrated.
- This beverage can 2 is sealed after filling in the toppled state with the can bottom 3 also shown.
- the nozzle closure consists of a nozzle 15, which is not visible here and in the example shown is integral with the beverage can 2, and further an associated nozzle cap 1, which is placed here on the nozzle 15.
- the neck closure from neck 15 and neck cap 1, that is to say the part shown here above the dividing line can also be used on other packagings, for example on cardboard packagings, on bottles and other containers.
- this nozzle closure without nozzle cap is shown on this beverage can 2.
- the actual nozzle 15 presents before placing the nozzle cap. It is gas-tight by being sprayed by means of a known co-injection technique.
- a barrier material of, for example, EVOH or PA as an injection component which is surrounded on all sides by two further injection components, injected into the cavity of the injection mold, so that afterwards a barrier layer is formed in the interior of the nozzle 15 and this is thus gas impermeable.
- a special feature can be seen on the outside of the collar of the nozzle 15 distributed around the circumference arranged, radially projecting guide cam 4. Next, the clear opening of the nozzle 15 is closed by a sealing plate 5.
- This sealing plate 5 is not only made of a thin film, but consists of a stable plate, which is integrally connected at its outer edge, however, via a thin point with the nozzle inner wall. Concentric on this sealing plate 5, an annular wall 6 is arranged, whose function will become clear in the further course of the description.
- FIG. 3 now the associated nozzle cap 1 is shown, and seen here from below, ie in a crashed position.
- a concentrically arranged snap ring 7 On the inside of the lid of the nozzle cap can be seen a concentrically arranged snap ring 7.
- a cutting ring 8 is concentrically arranged on the inside of the lid of the nozzle cap 1. This cutting ring 8 forms a toothed edge below. With attached cap 1, this cutting ring fits 8 exactly in the nozzle interior and connects to the nozzle inner wall.
- sunken grooves which are determined to act as guide slots 9 for arranged on the outside of the nozzle 15, radially projecting cam 4.
- the guide slots 9 have a slightly rising on the cap 1 section, which then merges into an approximately at 45 ° angle downwardly inclined portion.
- breakable guarantee tiles 10 are arranged, which have on their here facing the viewer inside of the nozzle cap 1 a ball portion and are therefore cambered.
- these guarantee tiles 10 are flush with the outside of the cap, which is otherwise grooved or knurled to provide a good grip for the user.
- the lower, here the viewer facing edge of the nozzle cap 1 has 9 bevels 11 relative to the ends of the guide grooves. With the help of these chamfers 11, the nozzle cap 1 can be put over the cams 4 on the nozzle 15 on the same. The cams 4 then slide over the chamfers 11 and along the cap inner wall into the guide grooves 9 and snap into it.
- FIG. 4 shows the neck cap 1 seen from above. It can be seen the bevels 11 lower edge, seen from the outside, and the grooved outer peripheral wall and held therein over fine material bridges, break-out Guarantee tiles 10th
- FIG. 5 shows the recessed from the inner wall of the nozzle cap 1 groove 9, which acts as a guide link for a cam 4, based on a cross section.
- the design of the warranty tiles 10 can be seen, which have on their inside a spherical surface and are held in the example shown on four fine material bridges in the neck cap wall.
- the snap ring 7 and the cutting ring 8 with its toothed cutting edge.
- it is on the inside of the bottom edge of the snap ring 7 a bead 14 formed with which the snap ring 7 can snap on the annular wall 6 on the sealing plate 5 of the nozzle 15.
- FIG. 6 the nozzle closure in the closed state in a cross section along the axis of rotation of the nozzle 15 and the cap 1 is shown.
- the nozzle cap 1 was slid axially from above onto the nozzle 15.
- the protruding radially from the outside of the nozzle cams 4 accumulated on the chamfers 11 and snapped as made visible here in the grooves 9 and guide slots in the inside of the cap wall.
- the undercuts 13 ensure that the neck cap 1 can not be withdrawn again from the nozzle 15 in the axial direction. In this patch or pressed-on position of the neck cap 1 of the cutting ring 8 is full on the inside of the nozzle 15.
- the snap ring 7 on the other hand was slipped over the annular wall 6 and the outer bead on this annular wall 6 snaps behind the inner bead 14 on the snap ring 7 a. Despite this snap connection but can the snap ring 7 relative to the annular wall 6 rotate about the axis of rotation of the nozzle 15 and the cap 1. Likewise, instead of the over-insertion of the snap ring 7 on the annular wall 6 of the snap ring 7 also fit into the interior of the annular wall 6 and the snap connection would then be realized by an outer bead on the snap ring and an inner bead on the annular wall.
- the sealing plate 5, which extends over the clear opening of the nozzle 15 is integrally connected at its edge via a circumferential thin spot 12 with the inner wall of the nozzle 15. The next figure shows how this shutter is opened.
- FIG. 7 shows the neck closure during the opening process, wherein the neck cap 1 is shown in a cross section along its axis of rotation, to provide an insight into the interior of the closure.
- To open the neck cap 1 is rotated counterclockwise.
- the toothed lower edge of the cutting ring 8 rotatably presses on the thin spot 12 around the sealing plate 5 and shears it off under the prevailing point load. After this shearing, the cams 4 are at the bend of the guide slot 9, which now drops in an approximately 45 ° angle.
- the same Upon further rotation of the nozzle cap 1, the same is therefore moved away from the nozzle 15 in the axial direction and can finally be deducted from this. Because of the snap connection formed between the snap ring 7 on the neck cap 1 and the annular wall 8 on the sealing plate 5 during the initial placement of the neck cap 1, the sealing plate 5 remains on the neck cap 1 and continues to be held by the same.
- FIG. 8 shows the neck closure in the closed state in a horizontal section through the neck cap 1 and the nozzle 15.
- the section runs just above the cam 4.
- the position of the cam 4 and the guarantee plate 10 after the first attachment of the neck cap 1 the nozzle 15 reasonable.
- the warranty tiles 10 are driven over the cam 4 and therefore break two to three of the fine material bridges and the guarantee tiles 10 are pivoted slightly outwards in the sequence, but still at one or two bridges of material held.
- the nozzle cap 1 can then be rotated further counterclockwise, which as described above, the sealing plate 5 is broken out of the pipe 15, and then the nozzle cap 1 can then be withdrawn after further loosening together with the broken-off sealing plate 5 from the nozzle 15.
- the withdrawn neck cap 1 is seen from below. Inside it holds the punched out or sheared sealing plate 5 so that it does not lie left as a disposable careless anywhere, but later disposed of properly together with the whole can and its closure. After opening the neck closure, the beverage can presents itself as in FIG. 10 shown.
- the neck cap 1 again on the neck 15 is placed, the cutting ring 8 fits exactly into the nozzle 15 and seals against the nozzle inner wall.
- the cam 4 again in the guide slot 9 and the cap 1 is secured to the nozzle 15 against accidental removal.
- the cap 1 can also be rotated in the reverse direction as the first time opening, that is, in Uhr manufactureersein on the neck 15. The closure is then tight again and the cap 1 secured on the neck.
Abstract
Description
Liquid packaging made of cardboard, beverage cans and cups with closure systems suffer to the present disadvantage that the desired absolute gas-tightness is not given, although the actual packing material is completely gas-tight. The problem lies in the closure systems. A certain gas permeation and thus a slow diffusion of oxygen through the closure system and its material is not effectively avoided. The shelf life of packaged liquids such as milk and fruit juices is therefore limited. Although the actual packing materials are completely gas-tight and one speaks of an aspetic packaging, the ingredients can "tip over" and spoil because of the diffusion of oxygen through the pouring and sealing system.
