Anordnungen von Eckwinkeln in hohlen Abstandshalteprofilleisten zwischen Isolierglasscheiben sind aus der DE 10 2004 054 019 bekannt. Um den Eintritt von Feuchtigkeit zwischen die Glasscheiben und ggf. den Austritt von hochmolekurlargewichtigem Füllgas aus dem Zwischenraum zu verhindern, ist außerhalb desselben auf der Profilleiste eine Schicht aus Thiokol oder ähnlichem zwischen den Scheiben angebracht.
Eine Dichtigkeit der Stoßstellen der mit einem Eckwinkel aneinander gekoppelten Hohlprofilleisten ist jedoch dadurch nicht gegeben und es bedarf aufwendiger Einzeldichtmaßnahmen der Stoßstellen.
Insbesondere ist bei Isolierglasscheiben, die an Konstruktionsprofilen für rahmenlose Fassaden befestigt werden, die Gasdichtigkeit an den Scheibenecken bisher nicht gewährleistet. Dies ist zur Einhaltung der Norm EN 1279 aber gefordert.
