Die dabei im Längsbereich des Wäschestückes ausgebildete Quetschfalte liegt in Transportrichtung des Förderbandes vorne. Sobald die Quetschfalte das vordere Ende des Förderbandes erreicht hat, kann der rückwärtig umgeschlagene Bereich des Wäschestückes nach vorne und unten herunterfallen, so dass sich die Quetschfalte öffnet. Das Ausbilden einer solchen, nachträglich wieder zu beseitigenden Quetschfalte stellt eine unerwünschte Belastung des Wäschestückes dar.
