The invention has for its object to provide an electrical connection element which can be produced with a lower economic cost. At the same time a reliable function of the connection element should be permanently ensured.
The object is achieved by an electrical connection element with the features of claim 1.
Due to the integral formation of the bushing section, in other words, the contact spring arms and the locking tongue, not only the material input, i. Thus, the amount of material required for the production of the connecting element, minimized, but also achieved a higher production rate, since according to the invention no separate over-spring needs to be attached to a base of the female section. Overall, the connection element according to the invention can therefore be produced more cheaply.
Characterized in that from at least one side wall segment of the female portion a protective tab emerges, which is bent so that it projects beyond a contact spring arm at least partially, a simple form of overbending protection is achieved.
The connecting element according to the invention is preferably a stamped / bent part, which is brought into a shape such that the outer geometry of the bushing section substantially matches the outer shape of the two-part bushing section of a conventional connecting element by a suitable bending of a corresponding punching plate. The connecting element according to the invention can thus be used instead of a conventional connecting element in an existing housing and locked in this.
Advantageous embodiments of the invention are taken from the dependent claims.
According to one embodiment, the contact spring arms project from opposite wall segments of the socket section in a region of the socket section facing away from an insertion opening for the plug contact. The contact spring arms are thus in the range of their - seen in the insertion direction - hinged rear ends, while their front, located in the region of the insertion opening free ends during insertion of the plug contact in the socket portion allow a squeezing of the contact spring arms.
The locking tongue can emerge from a wall segment of the socket section located in the region of an insertion opening for the plug-in contact and can be bent outward at least in the region of a free end facing away from the insertion opening. The locking tongue is articulated in other words in the region of its front end and bent in the region of its rear end to the outside. In this way, the locking tongue can cooperate with a latching projection provided in a housing for the connection element and prevent the connection element from being pushed out of the housing during the insertion of a plug contact into the socket section.
Advantageously, the locking tongue extends outside of one contact spring arm, i. it is arranged on the side facing away from the other contact spring arm of a Kontaktfederarms.
According to the invention, overbending protection is provided for at least one of the contact spring arms. Preferably, such overbending protection is provided for each of the contact spring arms. The overbias protection prevents the contact spring arms from e.g. if the plug-in contact is improperly inserted into the socket section, it can be excessively bent outwards and thereby damaged. The overbending protection thus contributes to a permanently reliable function of the contact spring arms and thus of the connection element as a whole.
A contact spring arm preferably has a lateral projection which engages in an opening provided in a wall segment of the socket section. The engaging in the opening projection is a particularly simple and effective form of overbending protection for the contact spring arm. In addition, the engaging in the opening Protrusion form a lock for the female portion and prevent "unfolding" of the female portion.
In principle, it is possible to design the bushing section such that both contact spring arms are protected by protective tabs protruding from side wall segments of the bushing section and at least partially overhanging the contact spring arms or both contact spring arms each have a lateral projection which engages in a corresponding opening in a wall segment of the bushing section ,
According to a particularly preferred embodiment, however, one contact spring arm has a projection engaging in a wall segment opening, while the other contact spring arm is at least partially surmounted by two protective tabs. This variant of the various types of overbending protection for the two contact spring arms can be implemented in a particularly simple manner in the case of a connecting element designed as a stamped and bent part.
According to a further embodiment, a Überbiegeschutz for the locking tongue in the region of a free, so seen in the insertion direction, the rear end of the locking tongue is provided. By this Überbiegeschutz and the locking tongue from damage, for example, by over-bending in case of improper insertion of the connection element in a housing, protected. The overbend protection carries So helping to ensure a reliable function of the locking tongue and thus secure locking of the connection element in a housing permanently.
The overbending protection for the locking tongue is preferably effective on opposite sides of the locking tongue. This prevents the locking tongue from twisting due to improper use of the connection element.
According to the invention, the overbending protection for the locking tongue comprises a wall segment of the bushing section and a projection projecting laterally out of the locking tongue and bent over in the direction of the wall segment. The wall segment and the projection are preferably aligned with each other so that the projection is seated on the wall segment when the locking tongue is pressed inwardly, thereby preventing further deformation of the locking tongue.
Alternatively or additionally, and in particular on the opposite side of the projection of the locking tongue of Überbiegeschutz includes a protruding from a wall segment of the female portion and inwardly bent support portion. Preferably, the support portion is bent inwardly so that the locking tongue, when pressed inwards, approximately in the bending state on the support portion is seated, in which a provided on the opposite side of the locking tongue bent projection on an associated wall segment. In this way, it is ensured that the overbending protection unfolds its protective effect simultaneously on both sides of the locking tongue, whereby a twisting of the locking tongue is reliably prevented.

The locking
The locking
In order to protect the locking
The
In order for the lower
Similarly, the locking
The flattening of the lower
Here, the engaging in the
