Actuellement l'alimentation des moteurs réducteurs qui actionnent les rouleaux où s'enroulent les couvertures des piscines, formées par des lames flottantes articulées les unes aux autres, est faite par la connexion au réseau électrique, pour cela la prise de courant dans ce réseau est menée dans un local technique ou se trouve la boite de connexion et grâce à des câbles passant par des gaines le courant est porté dans le moteur réducteur pour lequel ces câbles avec gaines doivent être enterrés. Tout cela semble complexe et antiéconomique, donnant lieu à de possibles pannes dans les connexions et à un moment précis l'approvisionnement d'électricité dans le moteur réducteur peut manquer.
