Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif (10) permettant de mesurer l'épaisseur (t) d'une couche (14) déposée sur un tronçon de chaussée (16). Ce dispositif comprend les éléments suivants: éléments détecteurs (S) constitués par un premier et un second dispositifs (E1, E2) capables respectivement d'émettre un signal acoustique (18) et un signal optique (20), signaux pouvant être reçus par un premier et un second dispositifs récepteurs (R1, R2), respectivement; unité de calcul (19) associée auxdits éléments détecteurs (S) et conçue pour déterminer l'épaisseur (t) en tant que fonction de la distance parcourue respectivement par le signal acoustique (18) émis par le premier dispositif émetteur (E1), puis réfléchi par la couche (14) et reçu par le dispositif récepteur (R1); et par le signal optique (20) émis par le second dispositif émetteur (E2), puis réfléchi par le tronçon de la route (16) et reçu par le second dispositif récepteur (R2). L'invention concerne également un procédé de mesure de l'épaisseur susmentionnée (t) et un système de surveillance faisant appel au dispositif de mesure (10).
