Description

The invention relates to a plastic ring for releasably securing a round shank chisel in a chisel, wherein the inside of the chisel has an annular groove, in which engages the received in an annular groove of the chisel shank resilient plastic ring, wherein the plastic ring is formed slotted and at least one on the outer surface of the Plastic ring projecting and extending over at least part of the circumference of the plastic ring rib has.

Round shank bits are detachably fastened to clamping heads or clamping rollers so that they can be replaced after wear and tear with as little work as possible. In contrast to the requirement of easy solubility is the requirement of a good stop of the round shank bits on the Schremmköpfen or Schremmwalzen, especially since they are exposed to relatively high centrifugal forces and shear forces. Another requirement for attaching a round shank bit to a chisel is to be non-sensitive to harsh operating conditions exacerbated by fine particles and coolant, etc. These operating conditions should also not make it difficult to loosen a round shank chisel from his chisel.

A plastic ring for releasably securing a round shank chisel in a chisel of the type described above is known from WO 01/23708 and from the AT 004 193 U1 known. According to this latter document, the insertion of the round shank bit into the bit bush is achieved by the depth of the ring groove of the bit shaft exceeding the total thickness of the plastic ring in the region of its rib and the slot having such a width that the diameter of the plastic ring can be reduced in diameter such that that the plastic ring does not look beyond the diameter of the chisel shank in the area of the annular groove when inserting the round shank chisel in the chisel. When installing a round shank chisel of the plastic ring is so far reduced in diameter that it fits completely into the annular groove of the round shank chisel, whereby his rib can not hinder the onset of the round shank chisel.

Only when the round shank chisel has reached the correct seat in the chisel, the plastic ring springs on and the rib of the plastic ring engages at least partially in the provided on the inner surface of the chisel ring groove. Thus, according to the prior art, the holding force is given by the springing of the plastic ring of an outer diameter smaller than or equal to the outer diameter of the round shank chisel to a diameter exceeding this outer diameter.

It has been shown that in harsh Schremsmbetrieb the so-caused holding force is often insufficient. It comes as a result of centrifugal forces to an involuntary removal of a round shank chisel from the chisel, which is favored by inclined walls of the rib and the corresponding purpose designed annular groove.

The invention has as its object to provide a plastic ring of the type described above, with a simple insertion of a round shank chisel in the chisel and also a simple removal is possible, however, a sufficiently tight fit of the round shank chisel is given during operation in the chisel. So the task is to fulfill two completely contradictory requirements.

This object is achieved in that the cross section of the plastic ring has a radially inwardly compressible and outwardly resilient portion which extends at least over part of the circumference of the plastic ring, which portion relative to the other portions of the cross section of the Kunststoffiinges From a relaxed starting position with a certain outer diameter larger than the inner diameter of the chisel in a smaller outer diameter corresponding to the inner diameter of the Meiselbüchse, mounting position can be pressed and spring back into the relaxed starting position, either the total thickness of the relaxed plastic ring the depth of Ring groove of the drill collar exceeds or the slot has a width which is dimensioned such that in a reduction of the diameter of the plastic ring to the contact of the side walls of the slot of the radially resilient Ab section of the cross section of the plastic ring protrudes beyond the outer diameter of the drill collar when inserted into the annular groove plastic ring.

The basic idea of the invention thus lies in the fact that the penetration of the plastic ring, ie of its rib extending over at least part of the circumference, into the groove of the chisel bush is not effected by a radial springing of the entire plastic ring, but by the fact that the rib itself is resilient is and springs radially over the outer circumference of the plastic ring. This can be done in principle in two ways. On the one hand that the total thickness of the plastic ring is thicker than the depth of the annular groove of the drill collar, or in that the plastic ring, even if its slot is compressed, at least with its rib still protruding beyond the outer diameter of the drill collar.

According to a first preferred embodiment, the cross-section of the plastic ring is wave-shaped, wherein a radially outwardly projecting wave crest forms the radially inwardly compressible and outwardly resilient portion of the cross section of the plastic ring.

A further preferred embodiment is characterized in that the plastic ring - which has an approximately cylindrical outer surface - is provided with a radially over the outer surface projecting rib which forms the radially inwardly movable and outwardly resilient portion of the cross section of the plastic ring, wherein expediently the rib is inclined at an angle to the axis of the plastic ring, preferably at an angle between 35 ° and 75 °.

Preferably, the radially inwardly compressible and outwardly resilient portion extends only over a portion of the circumference of the plastic ring, preferably over at least 80% of the circumference.

In practice, it has been found that for the plastic ring with a wall thickness between 0.7 and 3 mm, preferably between 1.3 and 1.8 mm, the Auslangen is found, wherein in the case of forming a radially outwardly projecting rib this has a smaller wall thickness than the remaining cross-section of the plastic ring.

Zweckmäßig ist der Kunststoffring aus einem der folgenden Materialien gebildet: Polyamid (PA), Polyacetal (POM), Thermoplastische Polyester (PET), HT-Polymere (PEEK, PSU), Polyethylen (PE), Polypropylen (PP), Polyvinylchlorid (PVC).The plastic ring is expediently formed from one of the following materials: polyamide (PA), polyacetal (POM), thermoplastic polyesters (PET), HT polymers (PEEK, PSU), polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polyvinyl chloride (PVC) ,

For particularly hard operational use of the plastic ring is characterized in that it is formed with a fiber reinforcement, such as a glass fiber reinforcement.

The invention is explained in more detail with reference to two embodiments shown in the drawings, wherein Fig. 1 a cross section through a plastic ring, Fig. 2 a top view and Fig. 3 illustrate a skew of the plastic ring according to a first embodiment. In Fig. 4 the plastic ring is shown in the installed state. Fig. 5 again represents a cross section of the plastic ring and Fig. 6 a plan view of the same according to a second embodiment. Fig. 7 again illustrates the plastic ring in the installed state.

How out Fig. 4 can be seen, a round shank chisel 1 has a circumferential on the chisel shank 2 annular groove 3, which has a certain depth 4 and a certain width 5. In the amount of this annular groove 3 is a chisel 6, in which the round shank chisel 1 is inserted, also provided on the inside with an annular groove 7, which, however, has only a smaller width 8 than the annular groove 3. For releasably securing the round shank chisel 1 in the chisel sleeve 6, a plastic ring 9 is provided, which according to the in the Fig. 1 to 4 illustrated embodiment has a wave-shaped cross-section. Approximately in the middle of the width 10 of this plastic ring 9 protrudes a section 11 - hereinafter also referred to as rib 11 - with its outer diameter 12 on the outer diameter 13 of the two ends of the plastic ring 9 before. The plastic ring 9 is how out Fig. 2 can be seen, provided with a slot 14. Its largest thickness 15 projects beyond the depth 4 of the annular groove 3 of the round shank chisel 1, when the plastic ring 9 is in a relaxed position, as shown in the figures, so that it projects beyond the inner diameter 6 'of the chisel.

The insertion and removal of the round shank chisel 1 in and out of the chisel sleeve 6 is possible in that the projecting rib 11 is zurückdrückbar, namely so far zurückdrückbar that it comes to rest within the annular groove 3 of the round shank chisel 1. This results in an increase in the width 10 of the plastic ring 9, which is why the width 5 of the annular groove 3 of the round shank chisel 1 is dimensioned such that the plastic ring 9 also takes place in the flat-pressed state within the annular groove 3, so to speak. This flattened state of the plastic ring 9, so the pushed back rib 11, is in Fig. 4 illustrated with dashed lines.

According to the in the Fig. 5 to 7 illustrated embodiment, the plastic ring 9 has a radially outwardly projecting from an approximately cylindrical annular base body 16 of the plastic ring 9 and obliquely directed towards one end of the plastic ring 9 rib 17 whose wall thickness 18 is kept slightly lower than the wall thickness 19 of the cylindrical base body sixteenth Also, this plastic ring 9 is slotted, in order to postpone it on the round shank chisel 1 can. How out Fig. 7 can be seen, the ring-cylindrical base body 16 abuts against the groove bottom of the annular groove 3 of the round shank chisel 1, and it protrudes the rib 17 in the relaxed state in the annular groove 7 of the chisel. 6

As in particular from Fig. 7 can be seen, the thickness 19 of the ring-cylindrical base body 16 of the plastic ring 9 is dimensioned such that upon insertion of the round shank chisel 1 in the chisel 6 compression of the protruding rib 17 to the base body 16 is possible and in this compressed state, the depth 4 of Ring groove 3 of the round shank chisel 1 is not exceeded by the plastic ring 9. This spring-loaded state of the rib 17 is in Fig. 7 illustrated with dashed lines.

When removing the round shank bit 1 in this embodiment, a destruction of the plastic ring 9, i. the protruding rib 17 is largely torn or sheared off from the ring-cylindrical base body 16 of the plastic ring 9.

The projecting ribs 11 and 17, both according to the one and the other embodiment, need not extend around the entire circumference of the plastic ring 9; they can also be used in combination, that is, over a part of the circumference of a rib 17 according to Fig. 5 and over another part of the circumference a rib 11 according to Fig. 1 extends.

Die Breite 20 des Schlitzes 14 liegt zwischen 1 und 8 mm, vorzugsweise bei 4 mm.The plastic ring 9 is preferably formed from the following materials: polyamide (PA), polyacetal (POM), thermoplastic polyester (PET), hat polymers (PEEK, PSU), polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), optionally with or without fiber reinforcement, in particular glass fiber reinforcement. The slot 14 may extend in the axial direction of the plastic ring 9 or even below 45 ° thereto. The width 20 of the slot 14 is between 1 and 8 mm, preferably 4 mm.
