Description
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Schiffchenstick- oder Steppmaschine mit auf Schiffchenbahnen vorwärts und rückwärts bewegbaren Schiffchen, Nadeln mit einem Öhr für den Nadelfaden, einem hin und her bewegbaren Nadellineal oder hin und her bewegbaren Nadelstösseln und Befestigungsmitteln zur Befestigung der Nadeln auf dem Nadellineal oder den Nadelstösseln in einer bestimmten Ausrichtung der Achse des Öhrs in Bezug auf die Schiffchenbahn. Solche Maschinen werden seit mehr als hundert Jahren hergestellt und machen von einem Stichbildungsverfahren Gebrauch, dessen Prinzip in all dieser Zeit praktisch gleich geblieben ist. So dringt bei der Bildung eines Stichs die Nadel durch den zu bestickenden Stoff, macht eine kurze Rückwärtsbewegung, sodass sich eine Schlaufe im Nadelfaden hinter dem Stoff bildet. Diese wird bei der Vorwärtsbewegung des Schiffchens, in dessen Inneren sich der Schiffchenfaden befindet, erfasst und beim Durchgang des Schiffchens ausgeweitet. Galten noch vor wenigen Jahren 185 Stiche pro Minute bei grossen Maschinen und 250 Stiche pro Minute bei kleinen Maschinen als obere Limiten, so werden jetzt bereits mehr als 600 Stiche pro Minute ausgeführt, und es sind Bestrebungen im Gange, die Geschwindigkeit noch weiter zu erhöhen. Hohe Stickgeschwindigkeiten stellen erhöhte Ansprüche sowohl an die Konstruktion der Stickmaschinen als auch an das Material des Nadelfadens und des Schiffchenfadens. Aus diesen Gründen wurden bei Stickmaschinen viele konstruktive Änderungen vorgenommen, die insbesondere den Zweck hatten, die bewegten Massen zu verkleinern. Bezüglich des Schiffchenfadens und des Nadelfadens möchten die Besitzer von Schiffchenstickmaschinen aber möglichst weiterhin mit einer breiten Palette von bisherigen Materialien arbeiten können. Es hat nun aber gezeigt, dass es bei schnell laufenden Maschinen insbesondere bei der Verwendung von dünnen Baumwollgarnen zu vermehrten Fadenbrüchen kommt.
