Abstract
Provided is a method for supplying a waste, wherein when a waste is charged into a melting furnace, a compressed block is prevented from falling apart and being scattered and CO, which is a harmful gas, is prevented from flowing backward. A method for supplying a waste to a body of a furnace in which a waste is heated and molten, characterized in that the waste is converted by a compression apparatus to a compressed block being so compressed as to have a density being 2 to 20 times that of the waste before compression, and the compressed block is supplied to the inside of the furnace from a port for charging provided in the furnace wall at a position lower than that of the modification section of the furnace body in such a manner that the distance of the fall of the compressed block in the furnace is 3 m or less, or is supplied without being fallen.
