Description

The present invention relates to a lift truck for the maintenance and repair of light vehicles, such as quads, motorcycles, lawn tractors or the like, of the type comprising a load-carrying platform and a lifting mechanism acting on said platform. load carrier.

Such benches are well known to those skilled in the art. They are now widely used for interventions on light vehicles, such as quads, motorcycle, lawn mower tractor or other. The trend today is to have a specialized bench either dedicated to a motorcycle intervention, or to an intervention on quad because the platform widths necessary for the reception of the vehicles are different for a motorcycle or a quad . Generally, the tables for motorbike have platform dimensions with a width of about 750 mm while the tables for quad, tiller, micro-tractor, cart or other have a width of about 1300 mm.

Une telle solution est par exemple décrite dans le document DE-U-29815973 .Attempts have, however, been made for the realization of polyvalent benches. The solutions offered are not entirely satisfactory. A proposed solution on the market is to report, along the longitudinal edges of the platform whose dimensions correspond to those required for the reception of a narrow-gauge vehicle, such as a motorcycle, tablets that allow to increase the surface of the platform for the reception of a machine with wide lane. However, in this case a solid surface is formed which makes it difficult to operate under the wide-gauge machine. Indeed, even if the operator works with outstretched arms, it has great difficulty to access the middle part of the bottom of the wide track machine. Such a solution is for example described in the document DE-U-29815973 .

The patent US-B-6345693 describes another embodiment of a lift truck, especially for motorcycle. This bench comprises a platform having a cutout inside which can be inserted a sliding plate, itself connectable to a ramp. In this document, the platform is not in the form of a plurality of trays cooperating with a carrier frame on which the trays are mounted slidably but simply in the form of a platform consisting of at least two trays, one fixed, the other slidably mounted on the fixed bed in a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the fixed bed. The absence of carrier frame limits the possibilities of modifying the surface of the platform and, in particular, the possibilities of access to the interior of said platform. Finally, this arrangement does not allow to free access spaces for the operator around said platform in the case of a narrow-track machine.

The European patent EP-A-0297632 describes a recessed chassis and trays removably mounted on said chassis. These trays are not slidably mounted on said frame. Indeed, these trays are provided with hooks for attachment to said frame as illustrated in the figures. Sliding is prevented due to the configuration of the trays and the interruption of the central frame rail for receiving said trays. As a result, again, it is not possible to release, by moving the trays, access to the interior of said platform or around said platform.

The patent US 3330382 , as well as the documents DE-1080752 and US 2777538 , describe benches for the vehicle elevation in which the platform does not constitute a vehicle traffic platform on the surface of which a vehicle can move. Indeed, in such benches, the vehicle, which moves on the ground, is brought above the platform which is in the low position, the wheels remaining resting on the ground. Platform pads are then positioned by the operator under the bottom of the vehicle and the platform is raised so that the wheels of the vehicle are in a vacuum. Such benches do not accommodate motorcycles or other narrow-gauge machines.

In the document US 3330382 , the elements of the platform are movably mounted to slide relative to the following carrier frame a direction orthogonal or transverse to the longitudinal axis of said platform. In particular, these platform members are mounted telescopically interlocking in the carrier frame so that these elements can be spaced apart from each other without saving free space between said elements preventing access between said elements.

Les documents US-B-6.695.287 et JP 2004/323181 appartiennent quant à eux à l'arrière-plan technologique.The documents US-B-6695287 and JP 2004/323181 belong in turn to the technological background.

An object of the present invention is therefore to provide a versatile lift bench whose design allows the operator to intervene without difficulty on machines wide or narrow track.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a lift bench, the design of the load-carrying platform allows it to occupy two positions: one, small overall width, suitable for narrow-track machines, the other, larger overall width, suitable for heavy gauge machines.

For this purpose, the object of the invention is a lifting platform for the maintenance and repair of light vehicles, such as quads, motorbikes, lawn tractors or the like, which in combination has all the technical features according to claim 1.

Due to the design of the platform as a plurality, ie at least two, sliding trays, it is possible to increase the width of the platform by simultaneously releasing access spaces inside. of the platform in the case of intervention on wide-track gear or conversely to minimize the width of said platform to allow free access spaces around said platform thereby allowing intervention on narrow-gauge or zero-value gears. Such a lift bench then becomes a versatile bench adapted to receive any type of light machine, regardless of the path of said machine, the platform being able to vary in width within a range generally between 750 mm and 1 mm. 500 mm. It should be remembered that means the transverse distance between the wheels of the same axle on a vehicle, this track being considered equal to zero for a motorcycle.

The trays cooperate with the carrier frame, to cause, during their movement, parallel to a variation of the overall width of the platform, the release of access spaces for the operator is around said platform , either inside the platform, depending on the location of the intervention zones on the machine. The trays thus cooperate with the carrier frame to cause, either parallel to the increase in the width of the platform, the release of spaces inside the platform, or parallel to the reduction of the width of the platform, a release of spaces around said platform.

  • la figure 1 représente une vue en perspective d'un banc élévateur conforme à l'invention en position de plus faible encombrement des plateaux pour la réception d'engins à voie étroite ;

The invention will be better understood on reading the following description of exemplary embodiments, with reference to the appended drawings in which:
  • the figure 1 represents a perspective view of a lift truck according to the invention in a position of smaller space trays for receiving narrow-track machines;
  • the figure 2 represents a perspective view of a lift truck according to the invention in a position of greater bulk, the trays constituting the middle part of the platform having been removed;

  • the figure 5 represents, in the form of schematic views, some examples of configurations that can be occupied by such a lift bench depending on the type of intervention to be performed on the machine placed on such a bench.

As mentioned above, the bank 1 elevator object of the invention is more particularly intended for the maintenance and repair of light vehicles, such as quads, motorcycle, lawn mower tractor, tiller, electric car or other. This bank 1 elevator comprises, in a manner known per se, a load platform and a lift mechanism 2 acting on the platform load carrier. This lifting mechanism 2 generally consists of a scissor-type structure associated with a drive device in displacement of said structure, this driving device being of the pneumatic, hydraulic, electric or other type. It can be constituted by a jack, a bellows or any other equivalent element. This elevator mechanism will not be described in detail below because it is well known to those skilled in the art. Such a mechanism makes it possible to move the platform between a lowered position in which the machine can take place on said platform at a high position in which the operator performs maintenance or maintenance operations on the machine.

The load platform is in the form of at least two, generally a plurality of trays, shown in 3 to 5, the figures cooperating with a carrier frame 6. By convention, the longitudinal axis of the platform is taken in the direction of movement of a vehicle on the surface of said platform. Indeed, each time a vehicle is brought on the platform or the opposite evacuated platform, it moves in a direction taken in the length of said platform. The longitudinal axis of the platform, represented in XX 'at the figure 2 , therefore extends substantially parallel to the direction of movement of a vehicle on the surface of said platform. It does not matter whether the vehicle is brought on and evacuated from the platform by one end of the platform or by two different ends.

The platforms of the platform are slidably mounted on said frame 6 in a direction T transverse to the longitudinal axis XX 'of the platform to form an adjustable surface bearing area. The surface is adjusted by varying the width of said platform. The trays, constituting the support structure of the vehicle on the platform, thus allow, during their displacement sliding, in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal axis XX 'of the platform, to release spaces 7 , 8 for the operator to be around said platform, when the platforms of the platform are in their position of smaller footprint, or within said platform, when on the contrary, the platform occupies a position of greater bulk. The position of the trays is chosen according to the location of the intervention zones on the machine. In order to obtain, in parallel with a variation of the width of the platform, a release of the access zones, these plates are slidably displaced in a direction transverse to or orthogonal to the longitudinal axis of the platform.

In the examples shown, the carrier frame 6 is in the form of a lattice obtained by assembling rails cooperating with slides 9 equipping the trays 3, 4, 5 movable sliding. Thus, as illustrated by figure 3 each tray is equipped with two sets of slides intended to cooperate with rails made from tubular sections of the carrier frame 6. A simple traction or pushing on the longitudinal edges of the trays can move them sliding along the rails of the carrier frame 6. The carrier frame 6, because of its embodiment in the form of a recessed structure, allows access to the area left free by the spacing of two trays. The trellis of the frame 6 is here formed by two longitudinal members and two cross members conferring on the lattice flat the general shape of a H double center bar. An operator can thus enter the zone between the two longitudinal members until reaching the median bar of the H.

In the examples shown, the platform is formed of six trays in three pairs and movable in the same plane. These trays slide along axes orthogonal to the longitudinal axis of the platform. Each plate in pairs is able to occupy two positions, one of small size, in which said plates of the pair are in contact by their side, the other, of larger size, in which the plates are distant from each other. others to provide access spaces 7 within said platform. It is understood that the more the number of trays is multiplied, the greater the number of configurations that can be obtained.

In the case of a platform with six trays, as shown, two trays are removable. Each removable tray is positioned between two trays, called end, irremovable. The end trays of one of the pairs constitute an access zone to said platform.

As mentioned above, the platform thus consists of removable trays, represented at 4 in the figures, and irremovable trays shown at 3 and 5 in the figures. The removable trays 4 constitute the middle part of the platform and they make it possible in particular, in the case of an arrangement of the platforms of the platform, in a position of greater bulk, to have easy access to the median part. or from below the light gear on which an intervention is to be made. Each plate is made from a sheet metal plate provided with fold lines according to the shape imparted to said plate. The end plates 5 of a pair of end plates may for example be equipped, in extension of their outer transverse edge, ramps access. The other pair of end plates, shown in 3 in the figures, can be provided with a return along its transverse end edge which constitutes a limit stop at the introduction of a vehicle on said platform. In this case, access and evacuation of the platform takes place at the same end of the platform. A vehicle accessing the platform therefore moves on the first pair of end plates and the pair of removable intermediate plates and the second pair of end plates before reaching a limit stop. The evacuation of the vehicle from the platform is effected by reverse movement. These movable trays 3, 5 movable still include a limit stop 10 marking the position of the largest footprint of the platform. This abutment 10 end of the race is here delimited by a fold of the plate to form a wing intended to bear against one of the lattice elements of the carrier frame 6 during the sliding drive of the plate of the position of more small footprint of the platform towards the position of larger footprint of the platform. It is also provided, between the carrier frame 6 and each movable plate, at least one immobilized locking member 11 of the plate on the frame 6. In the examples shown, each locking member 11 is formed by a bolt 11A, such as a latch, pivoting, spring loaded, cooperating with at least one receiving striker 11 B formed in the tray. In the examples shown, this keeper 11 B is simply formed by a slot 12 formed in the receiving face of the tray. The immovable trays include a single strike to lock the tray in a smaller position.

Regarding the removable trays 4, they comprise, conversely, two receiving latches 11B each cooperating with the same locking bolt 11A carried by the carrier frame 6. Each receiving light or strike corresponds to one of the extreme positions adapted to be occupied by the removable movable plate 4 during its sliding movement. The bolt 11A is constituted by a spring-loaded pivoting latch, this spring tending to return the latch in the locked position. It is thus necessary for the operator to act on said latch to cause the unlocking between the carrier frame and movable plate and for security purposes.

It may also be provided an additional pivoting lever 13 positioned on one of the transverse edges of two end plates of the platform, this pivoting lever for securing said trays facing each other when they occupy one more position. small footprint.

As mentioned above, the platform of the lift can have different configurations as illustrated by figure 5 . Thus, it can occupy a position of smaller footprint in which the six trays are close to each other and are in contact two by two by their side. It can also occupy a position of greater bulk in which the trays of each pair are arranged at maximum spacing from one another.

Then, it is possible, between these two extreme configurations, to choose configurations in which two opposite trays are close together and occupy a position of smaller footprint while the other trays are spaced from one another and occupy a position bigger footprint. It is also possible to obtain new configurations by removing the removable trays constituting the middle part of said platform. Some illustrations of these different configurations have been represented at figure 5 . Each movement of a plate is effected by simply pushing or pulling on the latter after if necessary pivotally engaged the latch 11A to extract the corresponding latch 11B formed in the plate. As a result, the transition from one configuration to another of the platform is easy and fast.

Thanks to all these possibilities, it is possible to intervene on wide or narrow-gauge vehicles and to cover all the necessary interventions on such vehicles.
