Description

The present invention initially relates, according to the preamble of claim 1, an electrical installation device for building installation in an embodiment as a socket, in particular for flush mounting.

Furthermore, the invention according to the preamble of claim 10 also relates to a central cover for such an electrical installation device.

From the document EP 1610 422 A1 is such an installation device in an embodiment known as a socket, which is equipped with bulbs to indirectly via the central cover, for example, an emergency or orientation lighting (so-called "night light") to create in building spaces. This known socket is mainly suitable for the first installation, because retrofitting is possible only by replacing the entire socket with insert and central cover, because at least some wesentlire parts of the lighting device in the device Einsate (base part) are arranged.

The document DE 20 2004 018 908 U1 describes another, also equipped with a lighting outlet whose central cover (cover part) is designed to be translucent and provided with a current-driven electroluminescent. This electroluminescent film can be arranged under the cover plate (ie on its rear side) or on the cover plate (ie on its front side), wherein a connection to the mains power supply is to be made via contact pins which are to be plugged as plug contacts into lateral insertion openings of an insulating part arranged in the socket insert. Due to the lateral insertion openings and the angled plug contacts, the connection during assembly of the cover part is difficult.

Other illuminated installation devices are in the documents US-A-5,670,776 (Switch with an electroluminescent lamp), US-A-4,774,641 (illuminated cover plate) and EP 1 122 845 A2 (Frame assembly or housing with lighting) described.

The present invention has for its object to provide an installation device of the type mentioned, with the universal lighting can be realized in a simpler, faster and more cost-effective manner.

This is achieved by an installation device having the features of claim 1 or by a central cover according to claim 10. Advantageous embodiments are contained in the respective dependent claims.

According to the invention, therefore, the central cover has an integrated lighting device with light sources and all other necessary components and with such trained connection contacts that contact the connecting elements of the illumination device automatically the contact elements of the device insert for tapping the mains voltage when mechanically connecting the central cover with the device insert , Here, the central cover is formed with optimum utilization of the available space as a housing for the components of the lighting device, wherein the connecting contacts protrude from the housing in a joining direction. The central cover has on its pointing away from the device insert front and / or bottom on a light exit, and the bulbs are disposed within the central cover in the region of the light exit. Preferably, a plurality of, in particular four light-emitting diodes (LEDs) are provided as lighting means, which are arranged together with an electronic power supply circuit on a printed circuit board housed in the housing. This supply circuit is designed so that it supplies the light-emitting diodes from the tapped off via the connection contacts mains voltage.

In an advantageous embodiment, the illumination device has a twilight sensor, wherein the lighting means are controlled via the supply circuit in response to output signals of the twilight sensor in particular so that automatically activates the lighting when entering darkness and is deactivated again when brightness occurs.

The invention achieves the significant advantage that only the central cover is designed to be "lighting-specific", so that a conventional (conventional) device insert can be used and equipped with the central cover according to the invention. Therefore, retrofitting is also possible in a simple manner, in that already installed devices only the original central cover is removed and replaced with the central cover according to the invention with lighting device. The use of equipment does not need to be dismantled, let alone completely replaced. Of course, the connection contacts have to be adapted to the position and configuration of the contact elements present in the device insert so that the contacting is possible.

Further design features and advantages achieved thereby will be explained below.

In Fig. 1 is an inventive electrical installation device 1 in a preferred embodiment as a socket, in particular as a Schuko-socket ("power outlet"). According to the usual today and widespread building installation technology, the installation device 1 consists of a socket-like device insert 2, a central cover 4 and usually a cover 4 enclosing the central cover 4 for this purpose is also on Fig. 3 directed. The device insert 2 has a frame-like support member 8 (so-called support ring), which is usually made of sheet metal and is provided for support on a mounting surface when the device insert 2 is inserted into an installation box, not shown.

The attachment of the device insert 2 within the installation box is done for example by means of so-called Spreizkrallen 10 or with fastening screws, not shown, which are screwed through keyhole-like holes 12 of the support member 8 in screw holes of the respective box. As a rule, such installation devices 1 are installed in flush mounting, the installation box is plastered into a wall surface or used as a so-called hollow wall box in an opening of a hollow wall construction. In the mounted state of the device insert 2 then the support element 8 is located on a building-side mounting surface (wall surface). It is then placed on the cover 6 and the central cover 4 inserted into the cover 6 and attached to the device insert 2. By this attachment, the cover 6 is held.

As it turned out Fig. 8 results, the device insert 2 electrical contact elements 14 for connecting the device to a mains voltage (usually 230V AC). As a rule, the contact elements 14 are formed at one end as plug-in terminals for plug-in connection wires. On the other hand go the contact elements 14 in the preferred embodiment as a socket in socket contacts (not visible), in the connector pins of a connector plug, also not shown are inserted.

Die stiftartigen Verbindungskontakte 20 durchgreifen dabei vorhandene Öffnungen eines isolierenden Kontaktgehäuses des Einsatzes 2.According to the invention, the central cover 4 now has an integrated illumination device 16 with light sources 18 and connection contacts 20 designed in such a way that the connection contacts 20 of the illumination device 16 are mechanically connected to the device insert 2 by mechanically connecting the central cover 4 automatically contact the contact elements 14 of the device insert 2 for tapping the mains voltage electrically. This is in the sectional view in Fig. 8 recognizable. The pin-like connection contacts 20 pass through existing openings of an insulating contact housing of the insert. 2

As can be seen in particular Fig. 5 to 8 results, the central cover 4 is formed as a housing 22 for components of the illumination device 16, wherein the connection contacts 20 according to FIGS. 5 and 6 the housing 22 in a joining direction (arrows 24 in Fig. 3, 4 and 8th ) and thus project in the direction of the insert 2. Preferably, the connection contacts 20 at their free ends by almost 180 ° bent contact portions 20a for resilient engagement with the contact elements 14 in the device insert 2, (see in particular FIGS. 5, 6 and 8 ). In the area of their front and / or edge side facing away from the appliance insert 2, the central cover has a light outlet 26, wherein the lighting means 18 are arranged inside the central cover 4 in particular in the region of the light exit 26, that according to FIG Fig. 1 Light in the direction of the arrows 28 - relative to the intended mounting state of the installation device 1 - down or obliquely forward and down exits.

As it turned out 3 and 4 As shown in the example, in particular four LEDs are distributed in a series arrangement over the length of the preferably slot-shaped light exit 26. The LEDs 30 are arranged on a printed circuit board 32, together with an electronic supply circuit 34, which is designed such that it supplies the light-emitting diodes 30 from the tapped off via the connection contacts 20 mains voltage. The connection contacts 20 are preferably held together with associated series resistors 36 in an adapter-like holding part 38 and electrically connected via the series resistors 36 to the printed circuit board 32 (see in particular Fig. 8 ). The series resistors 36 sit with a mutually and to the connection contacts 20 approximately parallel arrangement in a cartridge-like manner in each case a receiving chamber of the holding part 38 (FIG. Fig. 4 ).

In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the illumination device 16 has an additional twilight sensor 40 to control the bulbs 18 via the supply circuit 34 in response to light-dependent output signals of the twilight sensor 40. As a result, the lighting device 16 can be automatically activated or deactivated when it becomes darker or brighter in the room environment of the installation device 1. The twilight sensor 40 is also arranged on the circuit board 32 and in the region of a sensor opening 42 of the central cover 4 such that it monitors the room ambient light, but separated from the light of the adjacent bulbs 18 and thereby unaffected. For this purpose, between the twilight sensor 40 and the adjacent LED 30, a separator 44 may be provided for light-partitioning. In the partition member 44 may be - as in Fig. 4 shown - to act a separate item and / or a partition wall portion within the central cover 4 (see Fig. 7 ).

Preferably, the light exit 26 of the central cover 4 as a slot opening in the lower edge region (see Fig. 5 to 7 ) of a ramp-like rising to the front and bottom wall portion 46 of the central cover 4 is formed. According to Fig. 1 the light exit 26 is located outside (in front of) a front frame plane defined by the cover frame 6. It is advantageous if in the area of the light exit 26, an in 3 and 4 each recognizable insert part 48 is arranged, which consists for the uniform distribution of light from a suitable, in particular transparent or at least translucent material. Furthermore, the twilight sensor 40 in the region of the sensor opening 42 is advantageously associated with a corresponding light-conducting and optionally lenticular insert part 50.

In the preferred embodiment of the installation device 1 as a socket, the central cover 4 is formed with a socket 52 for receiving a connector plug. Here, the socket pot 52 is approximately annular or frame-like with preferably square (or rectangular) outer contour enclosing area formed as a housing 22 by the central cover 4, starting from its front wall 54 side walls 56 which enclose a housing interior with a certain height (see especially FIGS. 7 and 8 ). This housing space will be to the side of the Device insert 2 out through a preferably peripherally welded or glued housing cover 58 closed. The closed state is in Fig. 5 shown, and the housing cover 58 is separately in 3 and 4 recognizable. Due to the approximately annular housing 22 - due to the socket cup 52 - and the circuit board 32 and the housing cover 58 are correspondingly approximately annular and formed with preferably square (or rectangular) outer contour. From the housing 22 and through an opening extension of the housing cover 58, only a part of the holding part 38 projects with the connection contacts 20 and the series resistors 36 ( Fig. 5 ). Because of the limited space, the wall 54 inside (see Fig. 7 ) and / or the housing cover 58 on its inside (see 3 and 4 ) in the range of larger components of the printed circuit board 32, z. B. in the region of a capacitor 33, in each case a recess or recess 54 a ( Fig. 7 ) or 58a ( Fig. 3, 4 ) in order to keep the overall height of the housing 22 as small as possible. Furthermore, the holding member 38 has an approximately circular arc-shaped, adapted to the socket pot 52 cross-sectional shape, wherein the series resistors 36 sit symmetrically in the two outer side regions of the holding member 38 in the recordings. The connection contacts 20 are also held in the intermediate region in a symmetrical arrangement. The electrical connection of the connection contacts 20 with the series resistors 36 takes place according to FIGS. 5 and 8 via connecting wires 59. On the other side are the series resistors 36 with their pins 36a - see Fig. 8 - Connected directly to the circuit board 32, in particular soldered.

In a further advantageous embodiment, the central cover 4 positioning means, preferably in the form of pin-shaped projections 60, such that a connection of the central cover 4 with the device insert 2 in only one relative orientation is possible, in which the connection contacts 20 and the contact elements 14 of the insert 2 are connectable. This configuration avoids incorrect assembly and resulting damage in the contact area.

The invention also relates to the separate central cover 4 in the inventive design with integrated lighting device 16. In addition, protection for all items (spare parts) claimed, in particular for the circuit board 32 with the lamps 18 and the supply circuit 34 for Voltage supply of the lamps 18 from a mains voltage and preferably with the twilight sensor 40th
