Eine durch das strömungsbeeinflussende Mittel 10 und in dessen Bereich bedingte, partielle Erhöhung der Strömungsgeschwindigkeit verhindert eine Anlagerung von Gasen und eine Bildung unerwünschter Gasansammlungen. Gasblasen werden dadurch in einen förderwirksamen Bereich der Laufradschaufeln 4 geleitet und mitgefördert. Die Wirkung des strömungsbeeinflussenden Mittels 10 erreicht auch eine mehrteilige Anordnung von strömungslenkenden Elementen. Auch hier ist die Rippe 17 als ein strömungsbeeinflussendes Mittel exemplarischer Gestalt zu verstehen. Andere ein- oder mehrteilige Gestaltsformen des strömungsbeeinflussenden Mittels können mit quadratischem, rechteckigem, rundem, halbrundem, dreieckigem, polygonalem, profilartigem, trapezförmigem Querschnitt, gestaltet sein. Weiterhin durchdringt die saugseitige Gehäusewand 6 ein Saugstutzen 23, der als ein integrales oder auswechselbares Element gestaltet sein kann. An diesem rohrförmigen Saugstutzen 23 liegt das strömungsbeeinflussende Mittel 20 dichtend an. Ein solcher Saugstutzen 23 kann auch einstückig mit dem strömungsbeeinflussenden Mittel 20 verbunden sein. Der rohrförmige Saugstutzen 23 bildet mit seinem Innendurchmesser eine Saugöffnung 24 des saugseitigen Gehäusedeckels 19 und ist mit seinem Aussendurchmesser im Gehäusedeckel 19 befestigt. Alternativ dazu kann ein Saugstutzen 23 auch anders mit dem saugseitigen Gehäusedeckel 19 verbunden sein, beispielsweise mittels Schraub-, Flansch- und/oder Klemmverbindungen. Der rohrförmige Saugstutzen 23 ragt in den schaufellosen Raum 7 der Kreiselpumpe 18 hinein. Die mit Feststoffen und Gasen durchsetzte Förderflüssigkeit wird dadurch direkter den Laufradschaufeln 4 zugeführt. Ausserhalb der Kreiselpumpe 18 dient ein Teil des Saugstutzens 23 zur Verbesserung der Zuströmbedingungen. Dazu ist der Saugstutzen 23 an seinem saugseitigen Ende trichterförmig gestaltet.
