Claims (1)

  1. A device (13) for slowing down and/or accelerating print sheets or copies severed from a web-like substrate, with at least one first device (13) rolling on a top side of the print sheets or copies and at least one second device (14) rolling on a bottom side of the print sheets or copies, between which print sheets or copies which are to be slowed down or accelerated can be moved through, wherein the devices (13, 14) continuously slow down or accelerate the print sheets or copies starting out from a starting speed to an end speed, characterized in that the first device (13) rolling on the top side of the copies are formed as cams and the second device (14) rolling on the lower side of the copies is formed as a roll, wherein a surface of the roll (14) over its entire circumferential extension forms a contact region (16), and wherein a surface of the cam (13) forms a contact region (15) merely over a defined angular region, wherein the devices (13, 14) are driven in such a manner that when the devices (13, 14) with their respective contact regions (15, 16) contact a print sheet or a copy for the first time, the contact regions (15, 16) of the same have a circumferential speed which corresponds to the starting speed of the print sheet or copy, in that starting out from this the devices (13, 14) with their respective contact regions (15, 16) and thus the print sheet or the copy can be continuously slowed down to or accelerated to the end speed, and in that when the devices (13, 14) with their respective contact regions (15, 16) release the copy slowed down or accelerated to the end speed, the devices (13, 14) with their respective contact regions (15, 16) can be accelerated or slowed down in such a manner, that the same contact a copy to be next slowed down or accelerated in such a manner that the contact regions (15, 16) of the same in turn have a circumferential speed when the same contact the copy next to be slowed down or accelerated for the first time, which corresponds to the starting speed of the copy, wherein the first device rolling on the top side of the copy and the second device rolling on the bottom side of the copy are assigned a common own drive, which drives the first or the second device directly and the respective other device indirectly via the directly driven device.
