Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a device for receiving and transporting at least one tray containing a food product, in particular intended to be kept at a temperature below room temperature, such as ice cream. It also aims a freezer adapted to receive such a device.
  • This device is intended to present, serve, isolate temporarily ambient heat, and possibly replenish the cold content of ice cream trays trade and stiffen the trays.
  • Ice cream here means any finished food product sweetened or even salted and frozen mainly based on water or milk. These trays can be taken out of a domestic freezer but also kept inside the freezer.
  • the trays are released one by one from the freezer and, it is not very easy to extract ice cream balls with a spoon because it is difficult to immobilize the trays.
  • the trays are thin and sharp for the fingers. This is particularly aggravated by the fact that the trays manufacturers do not generally want to produce them in a plastic too thick since these trays are used only once. It is also not very practical to have to put them back in a freezer as soon as possible, even leaving them a little later for a new consumption. It is also not hygienic to leave these trays on a table because their contents should not be refrozen after thawing. During the summer, when it is very hot, it is sometimes difficult to bring ice creams from the cold aisle of a supermarket, even in an insulated bag, without melting them.
  • An object of the present invention is thus to propose a device designed _
  • the object of the present invention is to overcome these disadvantages and achieve this objective by providing a device for receiving and transporting one or more trays containing a food product to be maintained at room temperature at room temperature, such as ice cream .
  • the device comprises a thermally insulated enclosure and an insulating cover.
  • the device further comprises: means for holding said tray within a housing provided in said insulated enclosure when a user extracts product from said container, and
  • These holding means can be made by implementing a means for clamping and strangling the tray under a flange often equipping the trays.
  • Each tray can be belted under its collar to immobilize it in all directions, so that the extraction of ice cream by means of a spoon does not lift the tray. The collar then serves as a stop.
  • a device comprising a housing that promotes buckling of the flat portions of the tray outwards rather than inwards. It is possible to initiate an outward buckling by producing a slightly ovalized impression.
  • the immobilization of a tray can be strengthened by throttling and clamping thereof in a portion of the housing which is the imprint of the specific shape of the tray. This clamping can be achieved at a collar often equipping the trays and which comes to be in abutment on the upper face of the enclosure when a user drives a tray into a housing.
  • the edge of the housing in the upper part of the enclosure is elastic and dimensioned slightly smaller than the portion of a tray located just under the collar.
  • the device is plate without its insulating cover, pressing between the two trays, which provides a comfortable position of the hand.
  • a third lid can be placed on one of the two trays to support surely (full hand) and press the device on its support. We can then extract the ice cream from the other tray. Then simply put the lid on the other tray, perform a half-turn 180 ° and extract the ice cream from the other tray. This provides a particularly comfortable position for the supporting hand.
  • the third lid may not have a label, to avoid any risk of confusion on the types of ice cream stored.
  • This cover can optionally be isolated.
  • the device can be clasped on its support with the hand in a comfortable position, including pressing full hand (hand flat) on a tray lid mounted on a tray to extract the ice cream from the other tray .

  • the insulated enclosure and the insulating cover may be separately watertight by spraying and immersion, which thus allows a washing with hot water or in the dishwasher of each element of the device according to the invention including the cold accumulator in its removable version.
  • the insulating cover can take an open position on the insulated enclosure, thus allowing a thermal balance between the inside and the outside of the insulated enclosure, which has the effect of cooling the ice cream when the user places the device according to the invention in a freezer with its insulating cover in the open position.

  • the device according to the invention comprises bosses arranged at the bottom of the insulated enclosure, so as to move the bottom of the tray from the bottom of the enclosure to thereby provide a layer of air that communicates through conduits vertical with the cold air of a freezer in which the device according to the invention has been placed, or with the ambient hot air to soften the ice cream to allow easy depression of a spoon.
  • the device according to the invention may further comprise cold accumulation means for refilling in cold the contents of the ice cream trays transported in this device.
  • These cold accumulation means may consist of a sealed envelope containing a coolant.
  • the cold accumulation means may advantageously comprise one or more housings shaped to receive trays and having for this purpose a total or partial imprint of the specific shape of these trays.
  • These means of accumulation of cold are recharged cold whenever the device according to the invention is placed in a freezer, with its insulated lid ajar. On the outside of the freezer, the cold accumulation means yield their frigories to the ice cream contained in the trays stored in the device according to the invention and in thermal contact with the cold accumulation means in the isolated enclosure .
  • the cold accumulation means may be of the so-called low temperature type, with a latent energy transfer at about -18 ° C.
  • the cooling liquid may be a mixture of water and ethyl alcohol dosed so that the latent cold generated by the liquefaction of the frozen mixture is returned mainly at a temperature just above the temperature of the ice cream outlet out of a freezer, that is - 18 ° C. _ _
  • the device according to the invention is further provided with bosses, either on the bottom of the accumulation means, or on the inside of the bottom of the insulated enclosure, whose function is to separate the bottom of the accumulation means from the inside of the bottom of the enclosure, thereby creating a layer of air in communication by vertical ducts with the cold air of the freezer. This is to cool the cold accumulation means by a larger heat exchange surface.
  • the device means for positioning a tray, either in a low position, or in a high position, a tray being in thermal contact with the cold accumulation means in low position, while in the high position, a layer of air is created between the bottom of the tray and the cold accumulation means and is in communication with the cold air of the freezer by vertical ducts.

  • the invention has been described more particularly with a stop of the tray on the device under the flange, the stop can also be done at the bottom of the tray or at any level in the thickness thereof, even if the tray does not have a collar.
  • the device may also contain an icy Christmas log. In this case, only the isolation function is retained. It is also possible to use a device according to the invention to receive containers of pasty materials at room temperature.
  • the insulating cover can be articulated and removable design on the insulated enclosure through at least one hinge, and can adopt a half-open position from the closed position by a rotation of a few degrees.
  • This arrangement has the advantage of avoiding the loss of the lid inside the freezer and to minimize the space occupied by the device on a table when the lid is open at 90 °. If it were adopted in a systematic way, the device according to the invention could have an ecological interest. Indeed, as trays implemented in this device no longer require high rigidity and could be made of biodegradable material, for example rice starch.
