Description

The present invention relates to a timepiece comprising a rotating bezel and more particularly the mounting and snapping of the rotating bezel on the timepiece box.

Current systems for mounting and latching a rotating bezel on a watch case generally comprise a rack arranged between the bezel and the middle of the box, the teeth of this rack extending in a direction parallel to the axis of symmetry of the watch case and cooperating with a ratchet. These systems are not entirely satisfactory because they generate a radial clearance between the bezel and the middle part of the watch case. In addition, the reliability of the torque is not optimal.

The document JP 2000 298,178 shows a timepiece having a rotating bezel with a toothing that cooperates with a resilient member ratchet type.

The object of the present invention is to produce a timepiece comprising a rotating bezel in which the mounting and snapping of the rotating bezel on the watch case allows rotation of the bezel with a minimum clearance on the case and a snap that allows to control the torque of rotation of the bezel.

The present invention relates to a timepiece, in particular a wristwatch or pocket watch, comprising a rotating bezel which is distinguished by the features listed in claim 1.

  • The figure 4 is a perspective view of a ratchet ring for mounting the rotating bezel on the middle part of the watch case.
  • The figure 5 is a partial bottom view of the ratchet ring shown in FIG. figure 4 .
  • The figure 6 is a section along the line BB of the figure 5 .
  • The figure 7 is a cut along line AA of the figure 4 .

The timepiece, according to the present invention, and an embodiment of which is illustrated in the drawing comprises a watch case formed of a middle part 1 on which are fixed a bottom 2 and an attachment window 3 of an ice cream 4. This timepiece further comprises a rotating bezel 5 mounted and snapped on the middle part 1 of the watch case as described below.

The caseband 1 comprises an upper annular extension 1a having an internal thread cooperating with an external threading that comprises the attachment window 3 of the window 4. This middle part 1 comprises an outer annular face 1b surrounding this upper annular extension 1a in which is formed an annular groove 6. The outer annular wall of this annular groove 6 comprises at least one, three in the illustrated example, recesses 7.

Le diamètre extérieur de la bague dentée 8 correspond au diamètre extérieur de la gorge 6 de la carrure 1.A toothed ring 8 has an internal toothing 9 and its outer peripheral wall is provided with protruding formations 10 whose shape and position correspond to the shape and location of the recesses 7 of the inner peripheral wall of the annular groove 6. The outer diameter of the toothed ring 8 corresponds to the outside diameter of the groove 6 of the caseband 1.

L'épaisseur radiale de la bague dentée 8 est inférieure à la largeur radiale de la gorge 6 de la carrure 1.Thus, in the service position the toothed ring 8 is placed in the annular groove 6 of the middle part 1, against its outer peripheral wall and is positioned angularly with respect to the middle part 1 by the projecting formations 10 which are housed in the recesses 7 1. The radial thickness of the toothed ring 8 is less than the radial width of the groove 6 of the caseband 1.

The rotating bezel 5 has in its underside an annular housing 11 in which is snapped a ratchet ring 12. This ratchet ring 12 is retained in the annular housing 11 of the bezel 5 by the interaction of the ratching flanges 11a, 12a which respectively comprise the housing 11 and the ratchet ring 12.

Ainsi, en position encliquetée sur la lunette tournante 5, la bague à cliquet 12 est solidaire en rotation de la lunette tournante 5.This ratchet ring comprises a lower skirt 13 whose inner diameter corresponds to the diameter of the inner wall of the groove 6 of the middle part and an upper extension 14. This ratchet ring 12 further comprises on its periphery a boss 17 intended to cooperate when this ratchet ring is snapped into the service position on the rotating bezel, with a groove that includes the inner annular wall of the rotating bezel 5. Thus, in the latched position on the rotating bezel 5, the ratchet ring 12 is rotationally secured to of the rotating bezel 5.

Once the ratchet ring 12 is snapped onto the rotating bezel 5, the rotating bezel is placed above the middle part 1, the skirt 13 of the ratchet ring 12 is introduced into the groove 6 of the caseband 1 and this set is fixed on the caseband 1 by snapping the upper extension 14 of the ratchet ring 12 on the upper annular extension 1 thus axially fixing the rotating bezel assembly 5 - ratchet ring 12 on the middle part 1 of the watch case.

The ratchet ring 12 has several, in all illustrated three elastic strips 15. These elastic strips are cast, molded in the mass of the ratchet ring 12 and their free ends extend in recesses 16 that includes the skirt 13 of the ratchet ring. The free end of each resilient blade 15 has a shape adapted to cooperate with the teeth of the toothing 9 of the toothed ring 8 thus making it possible to index the rotating bezel 5 on the middle part 1.

Thanks to the design of the assembly of the rotating bezel 5 on the caseband 1 is limited to the maximum radial clearances of the blades 15 to the number of three or more acting radially by their elasticity against the teeth 9 of the toothed ring 8 which reduces still the radial clearances and allows to control very precisely the torque necessary for the rotation of the rotating bezel. The number parts is limited and the mounting of the rotating bezel on the middle is very easy.
