Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for a broom or brush tamping machine according to the preamble of claim 1.
- the invention further relates to a method for picking up a plurality of bristles in a receiving space of a bristle magazine according to the preamble of claim 15.
- the bristles in the bristle magazine are usually arranged upright.
- On one side of the bristle magazine is an outlet opening, on which a bristle transfer device is arranged. This removes a bundle of bristles from the bristle magazine and transports the bundle to a stuffing device, which then inserts the bundle into the brush or brush body.
- Short bristles such as those used for toothbrushes and certain household brushes, can easily be taken upright in a bristle magazine. Its inherent rigidity is sufficiently large so that the bristles extend substantially rectilinearly; the bristles do not bend, or only slightly, and do not tangle with adjacent bristles. For longer and / or thinner bristles, as they are used in particular for certain brooms, such as so-called Italian brooms, the inherent stiffness of the bristles is not sufficient to ensure that the bristles in the bristle magazine stand by itself vertically. The bristles tend to lay in front of and behind adjacent bristles, in particular in their upper half. This is a problem when removing a bundle of bristles from which some bristles are still entangled with other bristles that are further back in the bristle magazine.
- the EP 0 795 285 A1 shows an automatic filling device for a double-bristle container, which is formed of two bristle channels. Each of these bristle channels is provided on both sides with a rail-like guide. The bristles are held at their upper section so that they hang freely and thus straight down.
- the object of the invention is to prevent in a device for a broom or brush tamping machine with a bristle magazine that the bristles get tangled with each other.
- a device having the features of claim 1 is provided.
- the object is also achieved by a method having the features of claim 15.
- the invention is based on the recognition that the bristles do not necessarily have to be kept perfectly straight in the bristle magazine, but that they can be partially targeted. This prevents that the individual bristles get tangled with each other. Namely, the folded part of a bristle loosely rests on the folded parts of the other bristles, the bristles basically keeping their order.
- a positive side effect of this type of arrangement of the bristles is that the height of the bristle magazine is reduced. It can thus be arranged next to each other several bristle magazines.
- the bristles are clamped or guided in their middle section and that both the upper and the lower half are bent over.
- the bristles are then generally V-shaped or U-shaped.
- the second concept results in a particularly low height of the bristle magazine.
- FIG. 1 schematically a bristle magazine 10 is shown in which bristles 12 are received, which can be fed by means of a bundle transfer device 14 a stuffing tool 16.
- the bristle magazine 10 has a bending edge 20, which is designed here as a rail.
- the rail 20 is associated with a support plate 22.
- a counter-holder 24 is arranged, which is also designed as a rail.
- two side walls 26 and a bottom 28 are arranged, which together form a receiving box. Between the bending edge 20 and the anvil 24, a larger supply of bristles 12 is held.
- the height of the receiving box formed by the side walls 26 and the bottom 28 is dimensioned so that approximately the center of the bristles between the bending edge 20 and the anvil 24 is located.
- the lower half of the bristles is thus perpendicular in the receiving box and can stand on the floor 28.
- the upper half of the bristles is bent over a vertical orientation by about 70 °, so that it rests on the support plate 22.
- the flipping of the upper half of the bristles has the following advantages: Firstly, the result is a much lower height of the bristle magazine. In FIG. 1 H is the height which the bristles 12 would reach if they were received in a straight line in the bristle magazine.
- a second advantage is that the upper half of the bristles no longer tend to get tangled with one another, as the bristles rest loosely on the platen 22 and are all folded in the same direction; when in a straight-line state, the upper half of the bristles would tend to shift on their own, chaotically forward, backward or sideways, causing the bristles to easily tangle with underlying and underlying bristles.
- the essential difference between the first and the second embodiment is that in the second embodiment, not only the upper half of the bristles 12 is folded, but also the lower half. Of the The bottom 28 is arranged at a distance so short from the bending edge 20 and the counter-holder 24, that the lower half is bent symmetrically to the upper half of the bristles, so that the bristles have a total of a V-shaped or U-shaped configuration.
- Another difference of the second embodiment from the first embodiment is that two bristle magazines 10 are arranged one above the other. The two bristle magazines can be arranged much closer together than is possible in the prior art. This is particularly evident when considering the stretched length of the bristles that are in the Figures 2 and 3 are also shown for comparison. However, of course, two bristle magazines according to the first embodiment can be arranged one above the other.
- a plate 30 is provided, which serves as a lid of the lower recording room can be viewed.
- the bending edge 20 is designed as a rounded end face of this plate 30.
- the anvil 24 is provided with a slot 32 through which a feed element 34 (also known as a "pressure element” or “material pusher”) may extend.
- the feed element 34 extends from the anvil 24 toward the bending edge 20, wherein in the end face of the plate 30, a groove 35 is provided, in which the tip of the feed element 34 is immersed, so that between the feed element 34 and the bending edge 20 no bristles can jam ,
- the advancing element 34 is adjusted by an external drive device 36 so that the supply of bristles 12 in the bristle magazine is always below the desired pressure.
- the bundle transfer device 14 (called “bundle picker” or “circular arc”) and the stuffing tool 16 can also be seen very well.
- the bundle transfer device 14 is displaced in a reciprocating pivotal movement between the bristle magazine 10 and the tamping tool 16 so that a bundle receiving notch 15 formed thereon is pivoted in front of an exit opening of the bristle magazine 10 where it receives a bundle of bristles 12. Subsequently, the bundle transfer device 14 is pivoted so that the bundle receiving notch 15 in front of the stuffing tool 16th which brings the bundle of bristles 12 offered in it into the brush or broom body.
- FIG. 4 a further embodiment is shown.
- the same reference numerals are used and reference is made in this regard to the above explanations.
- FIG. 4 The embodiment shown differs from the preceding embodiments in that two bristle magazines are provided nested with each other, wherein the apex of the curved bristles of a bristle magazine in the space between the bent legs of the bristles of the second bristle magazine are arranged.
- bristles 12 shown on the right is used for the separation between the upper half and the lower half of the bristles 12, the plate 30, at the end face of the bending edge 20 is formed.
- a rail is used as the bending edge 20, which rail is arranged directly adjacent to the counter-holder 24 of the first bristle magazine.
- the rail is assigned to the support plate 22.
- FIG. 5 another embodiment with two bristle magazines 10 is shown.
- the same reference numerals are used, and reference is made to the above explanations in this respect.
- the curved bristles 12 are arranged so that their vertices face each other.
- the two counter-holders 24 are arranged directly adjacent back to back.
- a holding rail 40 is provided which has approximately the same function as the bottom 28; it is ensured that the upper half of the bristles are guided around the bending edge 20 and then held in a flat folded state.
- holding rail can in the same way in the embodiments according to the FIGS. 1 to 4 used to hold the upper half of the bristles in a certain position.
Description
The invention relates to a device for a broom or brush tamping machine according to the preamble of
In conventional stuffing machines for brooms or brushes, the bristles in the bristle magazine are usually arranged upright. On one side of the bristle magazine is an outlet opening, on which a bristle transfer device is arranged. This removes a bundle of bristles from the bristle magazine and transports the bundle to a stuffing device, which then inserts the bundle into the brush or brush body.
Short bristles, such as those used for toothbrushes and certain household brushes, can easily be taken upright in a bristle magazine.

The object of the invention is to prevent in a device for a broom or brush tamping machine with a bristle magazine that the bristles get tangled with each other.
To solve this problem, a device having the features of
According to one concept, it is provided that only the upper half of the bristles is folded over, while the lower half is received vertically. This concept takes into account the fact that the risk of entanglement of the bristles in their upper half is greatest; the lower half can still be picked up vertically.
According to a second concept, it is provided that the bristles are clamped or guided in their middle section and that both the upper and the lower half are bent over. The bristles are then generally V-shaped or U-shaped. The second concept results in a particularly low height of the bristle magazine.
Advantageous embodiments of the invention will become apparent from the dependent claims.

For separation between the lower receiving space, which is formed by the two
The
