Hier schafft die Erfindung Abhilfe, da zur Erzeugung bzw. weiteren Herausbildung einer Verformung relativ geringe Kräfte notwendig sind. Claims (31)

  1. A method for fixing a clothing strip (10) on a base surface of a flat rod (1) by means of at least one clothing clip (20; 120; 120') which comprises a first terminal section (21; 121; 121') for attachment to the flat rod (1) and a second terminal section (22; 122) for attachment to the clothing strip (10), characterised in that a central section (23; 123; 123') of the at least one clothing clip (20; 120; 120') provided between the first and the second terminal section (21, 22; 121, 122; 121', 122') is deformed directly before or after the clothing clip (20; 120; 120') has been placed against the flat rod (1).
  2. The method according to claim 1, characterised in that after placing the clothing clip (20) against the flat rod, the central section (23) is plastically modified at least in sections by means of a pressing tool (30) to form at least one deformation zone (24) to produce a holding force.
  3. The method according to claim 2, characterised in that the central section (23) is pressed into a recess (5) of the flat rod (1) at least in the area of the deformation zone (24) to be formed.
  4. The method according to claim 2 or 3, characterised in that the central section is plastically deformed in such a manner that the deformation zone (24) is arranged freely in the recess (5) after the pressing-in.

  6. The method according to any one of claims 2 to 5, characterised in that prior to the formation of the deformation zone (24), the first terminal section (21) is bent from a loose position into a clamping position for clamping on the flat rod (1).
  7. The method according to any one of claims 2 to 6, characterised in that the pressing tool (30) is used to bend the first terminal section (21), said tool having bending cheeks (33) for this purpose.
  8. The method according to any one of claims 2 to 7, characterised in that for releasing the at least one clothing clip (20) the same pressing tool (30) as for its fastening is used.
  9. The method according to claim 8, characterised in that for releasing the at least one clothing clip (20) the pressing tool (30) is applied to the clothing clip (20) in the same way as for its fastening and by overpressing the central section (23), the first and/or the second terminal section (21, 22) of the clothing clip (20) is released from the flat rod (1) or clothing strip (10).
  10. The method according to claim 1, characterised in that a clothing clip (120' 120') with at least one bimetal section (123; 123') is used and the temperature of the bimetal section (123; 123') is varied during application in such a manner that the bimetal section (123; 123') becomes deformed at this temperature and as a result, the clothing clip (120; 120') clamps more loosely around the flat rod (1) and/or the clothing strip (10) than at the operating temperature of the relevant carding machine.

The method according to claim 10, characterised in that on application of the clothing clip (120; 120') the temperature is increased compared with the operating temperature in such a manner that the clothing clip (120; 120') can be brought into a loose clamping position on the flat rod (1) and/or the clothing strip (10) and when the temperature is reduced, the clothing clip (120; 120') contracts into a fixed clamping position in which the clothing strip (10) is held firmly on the flat rod (1).
  12. The method according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that at least one clothing clip (20; 120; 120') is fastened on both sides of the flat rod (1).
  13. A clothing clip for fixing a clothing strip (10) on a base surface of a flat rod (1) comprising a first terminal section (21; 121; 121') for attachment to the flat rod (1) and a second terminal section (22; 122; 122') for attachment to the clothing strip (10), characterised by a central section (23; 123; 123') provided between the first and the second terminal section (21, 22; 121, 122; 121', 122') which is configured in such a manner that it can be deformed, at least in sections, directly before or during placement of the clothing clip (20; 120; 120') against the flat rod (1).
  14. The clothing clip according to claim 13, characterised in that the central section (23) can be plastically deformed at least in sections by means of a pressing tool (30) to form at least one deformation zone (24) to produce a holding force.
  15. The clothing clip according to claim 14, characterised in that when the clothing clip (20) is pressed against the flat rod (1), the central section (23) can be located adjacent to a recess (5) of the flat rod (1) and can be pressed into this recess (5) at least in the area of the deformation zone (24) during the deformation.

  21. A pressing tool for deforming a central section (23) of a clothing clip (20 according to one of claims 13 to 16 and for carrying out a method according to one of claim 2 to 9, characterised in that the tool (30) comprises at least one pressing strip or a mandrel, which is used to form or further develop a deformation zone (24) in the central section (23).
  22. The pressing tool according to claim 21, characterised in that it comprises two opposite pressing strips (41) or mandrels which are aligned with respect to one another and can be moved towards one another.
